Revenge Came To An End

Leo’s chest barely looked human anymore. Skin hung in torn strips, ribs gleamed through broken flesh, and blood soaked the cratered ground beneath him. His shirt had burned away long ago. The only reason he was still upright was the immortality—everything else inside him was begging to go on rest without.

Lili shot toward him, She was floating in midair then as she comes closer to that place where Leo crash the smoke folded back on itself.

“Leo, stop! You can’t keep going— even thought your body might survive but your mind won’t. I didn't train you for endurance and durability you ain't surviving any more serious blows. We can just come back. So please—”

A sharp snap, barely a gesture.

Suddenly she was kneeling on the mountain peak, rebels staring at her like she had teleported herself. Leo had pushed her away without touching her. One thought. One refusal. She turns back in confusion.'Did he just teleport me back on mountain ? What are you thinking Leo do you wanna............ Die ?' Lili thought.

Down in the smoke, Kael stepped forward, each foot all dull and heavy. His golden aura flickered, but the confidence in his eyes didn’t fade.

“Game’s over, Leo. Now because you we're able to make me able to use my one of the strongest move I'll give you three choices.”

Leo staggered to his feet. Blood dripped in thin, steady lines.

“One,” Kael said, raising a finger, “be my slave. Your friends will live.”

  No answer.

“Two, run. I’ll wipe them out and everyone except you.”

  Still nothing.

“Three—” He lowered his voice and stare at Leo and drove his divine sword into his own palm, light spraying out like sparks. “Die.”

Leo walked toward him, slow but determined.

Kael let out a small laugh. “What’s this? Finally scared?”

Leo stopped a breath away, panting. “I don’t care about your gods. Or your choices.”

In his mind "I’m just going to kill him. No matter how"

Kael’s expression darkened. “Then what? You can’t even fight for your dead parents?”

Leo’s gaze fell to the ground for a moment. Then he smiled—small, crooked, dangerous.

“So that’s how it is… fine. You wanna fight me to death ?”

Far above, on the mountain, Lili stumbled forward. “He… he sent me away.”

  “Brother?!” Lia’s voice cracked.

Lili knelt, head bowed. “Just trust him. He’ll win. He has to.”

The sky tore open with a sound that made the entire ridge tremble.

A burst of gold getting collided with purple energy .

  As two figures collided—CLANG!

Everything around was getting destroyed again and again and again the destruction was on mass level. And then in midair even clouds gets destroys.

Kael bared his teeth. 'How is he still moving? Anyway I don't have any other choice I can't let this fight keep going on' Kael thought.

He tried to fire a Divine Beam. Nothing—just a faint spark.

Leo wiped a smear of blood from his jaw. “You can’t use that anymore. It’s mine.”

A memory flickered behind his eyes: the beam swallowing him whole, Void Reclaim activating on instinct, burning him alive and stealing the technique at the same time.

“Don’t tell me you think—” Kael began.

  Leo vanished.

His boot crashed into Kael’s face.

Then an uppercut sent the archangel spinning.

A kick snapped against his neck and hurled him into the ground.

“Your skills… your stamina… all of it’s gone,” Leo said, voice low. “You're Burned out Kael.”

A sphere of violet light pulsed between his hands, expanding with a heartbeat-like throb.

  “Astral Beam!”

The blast roared forward. Kael threw up a shield, but it shattered instantly. And a big explosion happen a beam from air comes back on ground and as the ground and beam collided everything was destroyed even ground itself was break and then a sound came.

  BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Bones twisted. Limbs broke. He tumbled across the battlefield, barely recognizable.

  He couldn’t stand.

Leo descended slowly, Nullfang resting loose in his hand, almost quiet.

Kael coughed, a desperate, broken sound. “Hey…hey listen to me it........it was goddess orders I was just I was just.”

  “No forgiveness,” Leo said.

  He raised the blade.

  And hesitated.

  “Go to straight in hell"

Kael looked up, and for the first time, there was relief in his face as he's just gonna free from this. A thin, genuine smile. “Okay…”

The sword fell cleanly. His head rolled to the side, eyes closed as if in sleep.

Leo exhaled and walked away. His breath was rapid and deep his body was shaking not because of fear but because of pain his cloths we're ripped apart and some of his back hair were burned.

A whisper brushed across his mind 'Lili. Capital. Everyone. I am thinking now what things were gonna enjoy in future.'

Far away, Lili collapsed to her knees, tears hitting the stone as the teleport circle kindled beneath her. 'We won.' Lili thought.

The capital lay in ruins when Leo arrived. The castle had fallen in on itself; dust drifted through the air like ash. The sky had turned a dull, bruised purple.

Leo sat on the fractured remains of the throne’s stone base. His breathing was shallow, uneven. His body trembled with every moment.

  But he was alive.

  Alone—but alive.
