Piercing Hand

Piercing Hand is the martial art practiced by Vellin Cardaire and his mentor, Zero. The style was originally created by Zero in his twenties, following his completion of what is known as Hand Training—a foundational regimen essential to mastering Piercing Hand.

Hand Training involves repeatedly fracturing and healing the bones and ligaments of the hands through the act of piercing and slicing progressively tougher materials. This brutal conditioning process strengthens the practitioner’s hands to an extraordinary degree, granting them the precision, speed, and power required to execute the techniques of Piercing Hand.

The art itself comprises seven named techniques.

  Technique #1: Severed Soul

A diagonal or horizontal slicing technique designed to bisect or cleanly cut through opponents.

  Technique #2: Mangled Flesh

A relentless barrage of straight thrusts intended to pierce multiple holes into the target’s body, overwhelming them through sheer speed.

  Technique #3: Needle Point

The practitioner channels all cutting force into a single finger—typically the middle finger—to deliver a concentrated, armor-piercing strike capable of penetrating even the most resilient defenses.

  Technique #4: Mingling Cuts

A fluid, whip-like motion of the arms that slices and disintegrates anything in its path.

  Technique #5: Cyclone

The practitioner spins rapidly with arms fully extended, transforming into a living blade that bisects or tears apart groups of enemies in a sweeping arc.

  Technique #6: Permeated Cross

The most destructive of all Piercing Hand techniques. The practitioner propels forward at extreme speed, cutting in a crossing “X” motion that completely dissects opponents.

  Technique #7: Death’s Embrace

A self-sacrificial technique in which the practitioner pierces through their own shoulder to impale an enemy’s heart. It is considered a risky technique due to its consequences.
