Since childhood, Sharv had no internal energy, No prana. Because of this, he had faced countless hardships.
When he was born, a physician had declared that without internal energy, the boy would not live beyond the age of fifteen.
From a very young age, he tried to master everything outside of martial arts.
And he succeeded.
Even as a small child, he excelled in literature, painting, writing stories, and composing poetry.
But still, his family, especially his father—ignored him. Their family came from a long lineage of martial artists.
For them, nothing else mattered beyond martial arts.
But Sharv had no internal energy, so how could he possibly learn martial arts?
Within his family, he was treated as nothing but a shadow.
Why?
Because he lacked internal energy. For them, he wasn’t someone worthy of carrying the family’s name he was a burden.
At a young age, Sharv realized something: No one loves or cares for anyone unconditionally.
Every person only maintains relationships for some benefit. If one cannot provide anything in return, they will eventually be discarded.
His family valued martial arts above all else, because that was the foundation of their clan. But Sharv had no internal energy.
Yet…
There were only two people in his life who loved him without any condition, who saw him not as a burden but as a human being.
His mother and his uncle. They were his true family.
And he had lost both.
His mother’s death was something he never understood, because at the time he was too young, and couldn't do anything.
But now?
Now that he was grown, capable, still his uncle was taken from him too? And even when he stood so close to the man related to his uncle’s killer he couldn’t kill him.
Why?
Because he had no internal energy?
Would everything have been different… if he had internal energy?
‘If only…’
Sharv’s eyes snapped open. Vijay's shouts was heard in his mind.
‘Sharv! Sharv! You’re alive, thank heavens!’
He felt something heavy pressing down on him. Looking up, he realized the massive frame of Chief Abhimanyu was sitting on his chest.
The Chief’s right arm was bleeding heavily.
Sharv also noticed Varsha was nowhere nearby. That meant she had escaped with her life.
In a faint voice, Sharv whispered to Vijay,
“Keep this Chief occupied for a while, just don’t kill him.”
‘What? Occupy him? And don’t kill him? You should be thinking about escaping! Don’t you value your life?’
“Just do as I say.”
Sharv’s tone was cold. He released Vijay from the sacred thread.
‘You’ve gone mad…’
And then, something strange happened before the Chief’s eyes. A figure suddenly appeared in front of him; it was none other than Vijay.
Spirits can determine if they want to show their form to the human world, to the normal eyes of the human. And now Vijay was doing that only, to keep that cheif occupied.
“So, there was a third one after all. Sparing this boy was the right choice. Now, I’ll kill you both.”
Bam!
The Chief charged furiously at Vijay, a fist ready to crush him...
Tak! Bang!
Vijay’s peacock feather clashed against the Chief’s fist.
‘?!’
The Chief was stunned. How could a mere peacock feather be so powerful?
Even if one infused internal energy into such a weapon, it could never generate this much force.
The suspicion he had earlier about Mystical arts, now began to solidify into certainty.
Tak! Bang! Tak! Bang!
The peacock feather and the Chief’s fists collided repeatedly.
Vijay wasn’t afraid for himself his only concern was Sharv. He didn’t want to be fighting this Chief now, especially when Sharv’s life was at risk. But as a spirit servant, he had no choice.
That was the weakness of a spirit servant! their life belonged to their master. They had to obey.
‘Just stay alive, Sharv…’
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
He thought while fighting abhimanyu. But when Vijay turned to glance at him, Sharv was no longer there.
‘?!’
He quickly looked again, only to see Sharv walking toward a pile of corpses the bandits Vijay had slaughtered.
Tak! Bang! Tak! Bang!
Vijay had no idea what Sharv was doing. And then… a memory struck him.
‘No… this boy…’
For the first time, Vijay spoke aloud in panic. The Chief raised his brows at tis and glanced in the same direction.
‘…What is this boy trying to do?’
Sharv extended his hand toward the pile of corpses and spoke:
“Let there be a void beyond darkness. From nothingness, unshaken stillness remain. Freed beyond truth and falsehood, dissolve into infinity. Let the powers of demons and gods alike be rendered futile. Let the rivers of blood flow. Life itself vanishes into emptiness, and all revered blood dissolves into the ultimate.”
And then...
Whoooosh!
In an instant, from the corpses rose streams of energy, their prana, corrupted into death prana after death.
All of it rushed into Sharv’s hands.
“Ughh!”
Sharv winced in pain. The fierce energy kept pouring into him.
Both Vijay and the Chief stared at him, wide-eyed in shock.
Neither of them had ever witnessed such a phenomenon in their lives.
Before their eyes, all the corpses’ death prana flowed out and flowed into Sharv’s body.
Inside, Sharv felt a strange, chilling cold spread through him.
‘How… is this possible?’
Though neither the Chief nor Sharv fully realized it yet, Vijay could see clearly with his eyes.
Sharv’s Nadi (Energy channels), once as dry as a barren desert, were now flowing with prana.
But then...
“ARGHH!”
Sharv screamed, blood trickling from his the corners of his mouth, nose and ears.
‘Ahh! He must cultivate immediately!’
Vijay thought.
By now, even the Chief understood what Sharv had just done, it was something no human should be capable of.
And now, he could sense internal energy radiating from Sharv.
It terrified him.
More than fear, there was something else—something deeply unsettling about Sharv.
As if the boy was no longer human… but some other kind of being. That shouldn't exist in this world.
‘I-I must kill him now!’
The Chief thought and moved to strike Sharv. But Vijay intercepted him, and at the same time shouted to Sharv:
‘Sharv! Begin cultivating that prana! Quickly!’
Sharv obeyed, sitting down cross-legged. Seeing this Cheif Abhimanyu enraged,
“You Fucker! Let me go, can’t you see what terrifying things that boy is doing? Killing him right now is the best option!”
Vijay gave no reply to the Chief’s words.
The Chief, seething with rage, he attacked at Vijay side to make an opening.
Tak! Bang!
But his every move was being blocked by Vijay's peacock feather, vijay's looked like a scholar, a teacher but
Vijay glanced at Sharv and said,
‘Calmly, let that energy circulate through your Nadis in reverse, and allow it to settle within you.’
Sharv did exactly that.
He let the energy within him flow backwards through his Nadis. It felt as if a river—like blood itself, was surging in reverse throughout his body.
Outside, even while fighting the Chief, Vijay was instructing Sharv on how to cultivate.
Tak! Bang!
‘…Gently let your breath flow in and out.’
Sharv inhaled and exhaled steadily, controlling his breath.
As he did so, he felt as though some sort of energy was gradually seeping into him.
He did not rush. He listened to Vijay's guidance and guided that energy to properly settle within him.
Then, he felt something stir in his lower body; around his groin region—as if all the death prana was gathering at his lowest chakra, filling it completely.
At the same time, it seemed as though a piercingly coldness was flowing from his left side through a nadi.
That coldness climbed higher and higher until it reached his mind, where it lodged itself, chilling his very brain.
But then something stranger happened.
At first, only the left side of his body carried the coldness upward. Now, on the right side, a hotness began to surge upward, the complete opposite of the cold.
“Ugh!”
That hotness pushed upward but suddenly stopped near his heart.
By now, his lowest chakra was completely filled with prana, condensed into a dark, circular core.
BOOM!
A flash of light shot out from Sharv’s eyes, and an eerie energy burst from his entire body.
Shiver!
The Chief’s legs trembled as he witnessed and felt it.
Every one of his senses screamed that this was something dreadful; something he must not provoke.
On the other side, Vijay saw this and a faint smile appeared on his face.
‘Death prana…he finally obtained internal energy.’
Sharv slowly opened his eyes and stood up.
He could already feel the changes within his body, but now he could sense changes outside as well.
His vision sharpened, as if he had been granted new eyes.
His hearing too had improved; he could clearly pick up the rustling of trees in the distance.
Now perhaps he understood why every martial artist considered internal energy; Prana so vital.
But…
“This is not enough…”
Sharv spoke.
Now that he had felt internal energy within his body, he realized his prana was still far weaker compared to that of Varsha, or even this Chief.
Yet, he wasn’t disheartened.
At the very least, he now had internal energy that itself mattered greatly.
Sharv turned his gaze toward the Chief and Vijay.
Sweat streamed down the Chief’s forehead, while Vijay looked at Sharv with joy.
‘So… this proves it. This boy can indeed make use of death prana.’
Vijay thought. He opened his mouth to speak.
‘Sharv, let’s fight togeth...’
But before he could finish, Sharv pulled him back into the protective thread.
When the Chief suddenly saw Vijay vanish, his fear deepened further.
‘W-What are these two? Who in the world are they?!’
Inside the thread, Vijay protested.
‘Why did you pull me back inside?!’
“Two reasons. First, I want to test out this new prana of mine. Second, I don’t have much fighting experience. If I can’t even defeat a mere bandit Chief like this, then the battles ahead will only be harder. I can’t always rely on you.”
‘…’
Vijay fell silent.
What Sharv said was true. Now, Sharv possessed both external and internal energy.
The only thing lacking was battle experience—and that could only come through real combat.
“Don’t worry… If something dangerous happens, then I'll take you out right at that moment.”
Sharv said, then fixed his icy cold, emotionless eyes on the Chief, who was drenched in sweat.
“You said earlier that if I had internal energy, then perhaps my body would even surpass yours, didn’t you?”
Gulp!
‘Should I… should I run?’
The Chief was still considering escape when...
Bam!
Sharv suddenly lunged toward him.
‘!!!’
“Now I have both. Let’s test our strength properly!”
Swish!
Sharv threw a punch. The Chief too swung his fist, to block.
Bang!!!
The clash of their fists produced a thunderous noise. But then...
Crack!
“Ughh!!!”
The bones in the Chief’s wrist shattered.
He clutched his arm in agony.
He should have realized it earlier; if this boy could fight evenly with him, even without internal energy, then with internal energy he would surely be much stronger.
‘I-I should never have let this boy live!’
The Chief was now filled with bitter regret.
Snort!
“Tch! You’re not as strong as before, are you?”
The Chief burned with anger at Sharv’s words, but he could not deny it.
He was indeed weaker now, exhausted after his earlier battle with the girl, Varsha.
“Why don’t you do it again? That thing you did earlier—when your internal energy doubled, then tripled and your arms turned blood red?”
“…”
“Ah, I get it now. You can’t use that technique for long, can you? It only lasts a short while, isn’t that right?”
’..!’
The Chief’s anxiety and fear surged. That forbidden technique of his… it was true, he could only sustain it for a limited time.
And then...
“Excellent! That means you’re no longer in fighting condition. And the fact that after knocking me out, you still kept me here, even though this place has already been ruined completely, means there must be something valuable hidden here, isn’t that so?”
‘!!!!’
The Chief had completely forgotten about ‘that thing’!
“You spat a lot of insults about my uncle earlier, didn’t you?”
Sensing the Chief’s fear, Sharv’s lips slowly curved upward.
“…I’ll spare you, but only if you clearly tell me where the Black Spear King is. If not… then today might be your last day in this world.”
‘!!!!!’
Seeing that sinister smile, the Chief trembled even more.
