The Beginning of Nightmare

  11:00 PM…

In a city full of lights, there was a deserted open ground—drowned in darkness.

The ground was surrounded entirely by trees, and in the middle stood a four-storey building.

  Old. Broken. Nearly collapsing.

Cold wind blew through that building, and its echo filled the empty halls.

Inside one of the rooms, a faint light was on… and from there, a soft groan could be heard.

Tied to a chair was Yuvraaj Singh.

Blood dripped from a head injury.

His wrists were tied so tightly that blood had started to seep from the skin.

  His breaths were weak.

He slowly lifted his eyes towards the person sitting in front of him and said— “Why? Why are you doing this?

We had a deal, right? I agreed to leave your life and disappear with the money.

Then why? Are you angry because your father didn’t choose you, Rivan?”

Rivan leaned forward slightly, a dangerous smile forming on his lips.

“Do you really think I’m doing this because I wanted to be the son of some filthy insect of a man?”

His smile slowly disappeared. His eyes turned cold.

“You broke the deal. You .

You told me you never tried meeting Big Bro. But I know everything. You went to meet this morning.”

Yuvraaj coughed—blood came out of his mouth.

Gathering his breath, he spoke— “He came to me first. A few days ago.

He warned me not to approach you until he was done investigating.

I was thrown out of the hospital today… I thought he was behind it, so I went to his office.”

  Rivan’s expression turned blank.

Seeing him lost in thought, Yuvraaj sensed an opportunity.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“The man you think is your freedom… your family… He’s a liar.

He just wants to use you. Believe me.

He told me to leave your life, to become the villain in your eyes.

So when you gave me money— I had no choice. Believe me…i wanted to you!”

Rivan tilted his head innocently. “Really?”

  Yuvraaj smiled inwardly.

“Yes, of course. Son… I only ever wanted your safety. Even if I see you from far away, I’m happy.

But listen— Aditya is not who you think he is. You should… get rid of him.”

A punch landed on his face—hard. The chair fell with him.

His painful cries echoed through the entire building.

  Blood stained Rivan’s hand.

A voice came from behind. “What is happening here?”

  Rivan turned.

  were walking inside.

Aditya wore a black shirt, sleeves rolled up.

Rivan quickly pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and began wiping off his hands.

Fear of losing someone special flickered in his eyes.

Aditya walked past him, placed a hand on Rivan’s head gently and said— “You promised me you wouldn’t let even a drop of blood touch your hands.”

  Rivan’s gaze lowered.

Aditya continued softly— “But I also promised you… that I wouldn’t let you face a situation where you’d need to do something like this. I’m sorry…”

He helped Yuvraaj stand along with the chair and smiled faintly.

“I told you mister— don’t meet Rivan without my permission.”

Yuvraaj spat out a trembling sentence— “All this… is because of you! You turned him into a monster!”

Aditya’s voice dropped, steady and cold.

“No. I’m trying to make him human again. It was you who pushed him towards becoming a monster.”

He stepped back and asked calmly— “So… Do you want to live or not?”

  Yuvraaj stayed silent.

His silence made Aditya’s stare grow sharp—sharp enough to break him.

  “I… I want to live!”

  His voice trembled.

“I’m telling the truth — I want to live… for myself. I was weak because of my illness.

That’s why I entered Rivan’s life. Please let me go. I won’t return— not for money, not for anything!”

  Aditya turned to Mr. Shah.

“Untie him. Treat his wounds. Then send him far away from this city.

After that… his fate will decide whether he survives or not.”

“Okay, sir.” Mr. Shah untied Yuvraaj and took him away.

Aditya pulled out a cigarette, lit it.

  Rivan watched silently.

He knew exactly when and why Aditya smoked— and that made his heart ache even more.

  He looked away.

Aditya inhaled deeply, then dropped the burning cigarette to the floor and crushed it under his foot.

  “Don’t think too much, Rivan.”

Rivan looked up. Aditya smiled softly.

And in the next moment, Rivan hugged him tightly— like a child who was scared of losing something precious.

  Aditya’s smile faded.

He stroked Rivan’s back gently. “Next time… I promise I won’t hide anything from you.”

Rivan sniffed. “I should be the one saying that, Big Bro…”

Aditya smiled lightly. “Now stop crying.

I’m not used to seeing you like this. I can calm Ira down… but I don’t know how to calm you.”

Rivan pulled away slightly, wiping his tears. “Try the same way you calm Ira.”

  Aditya laughed softly.

“If she finds out, she’ll sulk for two whole days! Fine— I’ll find a new way for you. Come on.”

They walked out of the dark building together.

  Meanwhile, at Anamika’s house…

Saaniya opened the door. The house was pitch-dark.

“Did Anamika not return yet?” she wondered.

She switched on the lights— and instantly wished she hadn’t.

The entire house was wrecked. Like a storm had passed through those walls.

She stepped further inside. Glass decorations lay shattered on the floor. Drops of blood near them.

Her eyes followed the trail— leading towards that room.

The one she always kept locked.

  Tonight… its door stood open.

Her heartbeat stopped. “No… she found out.”

The truth she kept hiding from everyone— The truth she feared more than death— Had finally surfaced.

It felt like walking into a nightmare… that had now become real.

  She stepped toward the room…
