Hold My Hand, Otherwise You’ll Lose Me!

  Outside Anamika’s House…

Aditya stood with a smile on his face, while Saaniya looked at him with an irritated glare.

She said, “Why are you staring like that?? Go inside!!”

Hearing this, Aditya lowered his head slightly and softly said, “Thank you… really! I know you did all this for Anamika, but I’m truly happy. Because of you, a huge burden has been lifted off my heart. I promise… from today, even unknowingly, I’ll never be the reason for her pain again.”

Saaniya turned her eyes away and took a deep breath. “You’re weird! Anyway… I don’t want anyone to know what I told you today. Let it remain between us. It stays a secret! So don’t tell anyone… especially that nutty friend of yours!”

And with that, she walked away.

Aditya laughed softly and then turned his eyes toward the door.

“Today is a new beginning… a rebirth of my love,” he whispered.

  He pressed the doorbell.

  The door opened immediately.

Anamika stood there… frozen at the sight of Aditya.

Aditya smiled, gently brushed a strand of her hair back, and said, “Good morning! So… ready for office?”

For Anamika, that moment meant the world.

After being ignored by Aditya for an entire day, she had felt like no one needed her anymore. But just his one smile melted away all her fears.

She smiled, locked eyes with him and replied, “Yes, absolutely!”

It was the first time… Anamika had ever looked into Aditya’s eyes and spoken something.

Aditya smiled softly and held her hand, “What about breakfast?”

Anamika quickly averted her eyes and mumbled, “Uh… I already had it.”

The truth was — Saaniya had prepared breakfast for her an hour earlier and left it on the dining table before rushing out under the excuse of going to the hospital. She had gone out only to wait for Aditya.

But Anamika, in her bad mood, had thrown the food into the dustbin.

Now, seeing Aditya had lightened her mood… and her stomach remembered it hadn’t eaten. A loud growl betrayed her.

  Anamika blushed in embarrassment.

Aditya smiled warmly. She looked way too cute to him in that moment.

Holding her hand, he said, “Well, I didn’t eat anything either… my stomach’s been mad at me since morning. I’m going to eat. So come with me.”

Anamika looked down, but her lips carried a soft flush of shyness.

He helped her into the passenger seat and then took the wheel himself.

This was the first time Anamika was sitting beside him, in the front seat.

As he drove, a red light made him stop at a signal.

While Anamika was patiently waiting for it to turn green, Aditya stole a sidelong glance at her and thought,

“Feels like I’m seeing you peacefully for the first time today… You were always in front of me, yet I never allowed myself to look at you this closely. But now that I am — I can tell, you’ve changed.

You’ve always been beautiful in my eyes… but today… you’re glowing.

There’s more sparkle in your eyes now, more softness in your smile — like your lips have finally found freedom to speak for themselves.

Every emotion on your face seems different now…

When I first saw you as a child, there was innocence and fear in your eyes.

When we met again in school, your eyes held emptiness and darkness…

But now… now it feels like stars are twinkling in them.”

Suddenly, loud honking from the cars behind broke his thoughts.

Aditya looked forward. The signal was green. He quickly stepped on the gas.

His face had turned red — because he’d just realized… Anamika had caught him staring.

After a short drive, they arrived at a restaurant.

A stunning, elegant place — unlike anything Anamika had ever seen in her life.

Everything about the restaurant seemed to shimmer with a strange, magical light that pulled Anamika in.

Just when she was about to wander off like an excited child,

  Aditya called her name.

She turned around — and found him standing there, slightly blushing, slightly smiling… his hand stretched out toward her.

Aditya hesitated and said, “If you walk around alone like that… you might lose me. So… will you… hold my hand??”

To his surprise, Anamika immediately grabbed his hand — like a child, without saying a word.

She didn’t want to lose him again. That’s why she clutched it.

But her hands were so soft and gentle that Aditya felt like he was holding a piece of velvet.

He smiled and said, “Come on… today I’ll treat you to something special.”

Inside, Aditya made a special request to the manager for a private breakfast table.

This table was in the quietest corner of the restaurant — away from everyone’s eyes.

The most beautiful table in the restaurant — arranged like it was sitting in the heart of a garden!

The scent of blooming flowers lingered all around.

Anamika’s eyes were busy admiring the flowers, while Aditya’s eyes were lost… admiring her.

To him, Anamika and those rare flowers had no difference ...

Except one: Anamika was more precious.

  Their order arrived.

The table was now filled with sweet dishes — because Anamika absolutely loved sweets.

She could probably live her whole life eating only desserts!

Beautiful pastries, cakes, cookies, puddings, and more… just the sight made Anamika’s mouth water.

As soon as the waiter left, she pounced on the food like a child.

A big chunk of cake barely fit in her small mouth. Her eyes were shut — as if she was feeling the taste with her soul.

Meanwhile, Aditya just sat there — watching her with eyes full of love…

His gaze soaking in every little expression on her face.

  His eyes… like pens,

wanted to write this moment into the pages of his memory.
