Undying Body!
Kael nearly jumped out of his skin.
"System, does 'Undying Body' mean what I think it means?" Kael hurriedly asked for clarification.
[System: It is exactly as literal as it sounds. Until the effect expires, the user absolutely will not die.]
"..."
Kael fell silent.
According to the System's wording, there was a lot of wiggle room here. Being half-dead technically counts as "not dead," doesn't it?
Forget it. I'll just sell it based on the System's description.
"System, clear a row on the pill shelf and display all these Combo Bundles," Kael instructed while hauling out the last of the armor and weapons. "Oh, and recharge thirty pulls for the Common Pill Pool. I have a feeling these bundles are going to sell like hotcakes."
[System: As you wish.]
With Kael’s physical strength having improved significantly, moving dozens of weapons and armor pieces was quick work.
"The carriage is outside. Manager, please stay. I can move the rest myself," Blood Wolf said, walking back into the shop.
"By the way," Kael said, returning to the counter and leaning back casually, "there are some new pill bundles in the corner. I think you might need them."
"I think I don't have enough Spirit Crystals to 'need' anything else," Blood Wolf said, looking like he wanted to cry.
"No harm in looking. You don't have to buy," Kael said in a flat tone, trying his best not to sound like a salesman.
"Fine. I'll take a look." Blood Wolf gritted his teeth and walked over to the designated shelf.
Kael seized the opportunity to nonchalantly explain the effects of the bundles. As he spoke, Blood Wolf’s eyes began to glaze over with desire.
"Undying Body? Manager, can you say that again? I might have misheard," Blood Wolf tried to act indifferent, but the tremble in his voice betrayed him.
Regardless of the specifics, an effect like Undying Body could maximize the survival rate of his team. Except for the price...
"This is the Death-Defying Combo, right? Boss, give me one."
Tiger Hunt, standing nearby, didn't hesitate. He grabbed three small ceramic bottles from the shelf and slapped two hundred and forty Spirit Crystals onto the counter.

"Thank you for your patronage," Kael said, silently sweeping the crystals into his register.
"Tiger Hunt, you..." Blood Wolf looked at his friend awkwardly.
"Didn't you notice there aren't many of these combos in stock? It’s never wrong to keep a set on you," Tiger Hunt reasoned.
"You're right." Blood Wolf could only nod.
These pills were genuine treasures. The Death-Defying Combo lived up to its name—it was a last resort to snatch life from the jaws of death. Having one could save a life in a critical moment.
"But the price..." Blood Wolf clenched his jaw so hard he nearly cracked a tooth.
"Manager... give me two Death-Defying Combos and five Hot-Blood Combos." In the end, Blood Wolf emptied his entire savings.
"Hah! That probably wiped out your stash from the last few years, didn't it?" Tiger Hunt laughed boisterously.
"Thank you for your patronage. Please come again," Kael said slowly, organizing the mountain of crystals.
"We will. Definitely," Blood Wolf replied with a forced smile. He climbed onto the carriage outside and cracked the whip violently.
CRACK—!
"I can tell Blood Wolf is feeling pretty depressed right now," Tiger Hunt laughed.
"Mmhmm," Kael nodded.
Inside his head, the System chimed.
[System: Mission Complete. 'Store Renovation Voucher' issued. The Host's suggestion regarding pill bundles has been retained.]
"Since I got what I came for, I won't bother you further. Next time, I'll definitely bring enough crystals for that greataxe," Tiger Hunt waved goodbye and left.
Only then did Kael pull his steamed buns out from under the counter to continue his leisurely breakfast.
The Store Renovation Voucher had appeared right next to his buns. Kael stared at it for a while before confirming what it was. It was just a simple piece of white paper with the words "Store Renovation Voucher" written on it.
If not for the text, Kael might have used it as a napkin.
"Manager Kael!"
Before he could finish his last bun, a voice like a silver bell rang out from the street.
Women!
Kael’s heart skipped a beat, but his hands moved with a speed that defied the laws of physics. In a flash, the remaining buns vanished beneath the counter.
Can't a man just finish his breakfast in peace?
Kael composed himself, assuming his standard stoic expression.
"Manager Kael! So you really do have a shop in Cloud Mist City!" Xiao Ya walked in, looking full of energy as she greeted him.
"Oh, it's you all. Feel free to look around. Ask if you don't understand something." Kael’s memory was slightly better than a goldfish's; he instantly recognized the seven girls from the Lan Ye Squad.
"We searched for a long time. I didn't expect it to be in this area," Lan Ye said, greeting him politely.
"It is quite out of the way," Fei Xue added, following behind.
"Big Brother, do you eat wolf meat? I roasted this this morning!" Lan Zi'er, clad in her heavy armor, ran up to the counter excitedly and offered him a chunk of roasted meat.
"Thank you."
Kael didn't refuse the little girl's kindness. After taking the meat, he pointed to a specific shelf. "The heavy armor is over there."
"Okay! Zi'er is going to look!" The girl giggled and ran off.
Watching the massive tower shield on her back—which was taller than she was—Kael asked mentally, "System, are shields considered weapons or armor?"
[System: Shields are a special category. They exist in both the Weapon Pool and Armor Pool, but the drop rate is extremely low.]
"Kael, do you have any good staves here?" Na Lan Qinqi ran over as well.
"I do. On that shelf over there," Kael pointed the loli in the right direction.
"I'll go check!" She skipped away happily.
"About last night... thank you for the pill," You Jiu stepped forward to express her gratitude.
"No need. You already thanked me last night. Besides, you paid for it," Kael nodded.
"Kael! What does this staff do?" Before they could say two more words, Na Lan Qinqi came running back, holding a staff.
Kael glanced at it. "The Frost Staff..."
In truth, the shop didn't have many types of staves. The Frost Staff was currently the only Superior-grade staff in stock.
