This was the magnificence of a Legendary Village.

Any other village would receive no rewards at all—or at most a single one—yet here, the rewards were terrifying.

Ian felt his own strength, and the strength of all his soldiers, increase—even if it was not yet visible.

Now it was time to inspect the items that had dropped from Shonan’s corpse.

  - An Ancient Sword

  - Legendary Skill

  - 1,000 Gold Coins

  - Skill: Phantom Steps

  - Legendary

  - Description: A legendary movement skill that allows its user to surpass the wind and remain undefeated on the battlefield.

  - Learning Requirement: Legendary Talent / Rank

Ian frowned for a moment, but he was not bothered. He had wanted to give it to the Shadow Legion, but it seemed that would not happen.

Now it was time for the First Kill Rewards.

  - First: The Blueprint

  - Automatic Ballista Blueprint

  - Craft a defensive ballista with offensive power capable of killing Level One enemies with a single bolt.

  - Second: A Complete Item Set

  - Thorned Rose

  - Ancient

  - Sword… Full Armor… Cloak… Helmet…

All blood-red in color, engraved with a white rose.

  - Third: Bloodline

  - Description: A bloodline. Absorb it to gain a mutation in strength.

  - Fourth: Living Heart

  - Description: Use it to obtain a second heart.(Warning: this implies death)

  - Fifth: Reputation Shop

Ian opened the shop and saw an enormous number of items. Even legendary weapons.

Blueprints for siege and war weapons such as catapults, rocket launchers, and even armored combatants that did not die.

  Lairs for various beasts.

Special items such as formation banners and more.

Ian’s eyes were drawn especially when he saw that he possessed 1,000 reputation points (the sixth reward), but… the items that attracted him cost hundreds of thousands or even millions.

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

He decided to ignore it for now.

  - Seventh: Special Title

  - Toward the Heavens

  - When fighting an enemy stronger than you, you gain a 50% boost in strength for 10 minutes. Cool down: one full day.

  - Eighth: Special Item from the Existence Above

  - Mask

  - Special Item

  - Description: Use it to obtain the form and aura of a specific individual. No cool down. {Warning: Damage to the mask will reveal the disguise}

  - Ninth: Special Reward Item

** Congratulations to the player for completing the Village Center Construction Mission **

**You have obtained the Longevity Fruit**

  - Longevity Fruit

  - Special Item

  - Use it to increase lifespan by one hundred years.

  This was strange—but overall… wonderful.

Ian smiled, and with that, the village’s power rose significantly.

Ian took the Living Heart and placed it inside the Empty Den.

He had now resolved the greatest problem of breeding the Empty Den, though a long time was still needed before obtaining enough death elements and corpses for full breeding. However, with time, everything would fall into place—especially after depositing all the Imps’ corpses they had obtained.

The death of the Imps granted them a large number of items and currencies, compensating for the village’s deficit that Ian himself had caused.

After all, these items—the rare ones he had consumed—could later be sold for money, and that money would help with future upgrades.

Ian did not mind this at all. His personal strength had increased greatly, loyalty had risen, the soldiers’ resolve had hardened, the Village Center was established, and soon it would be upgraded for even greater gains.

Now, it was time to deal with the Bloodline.

Ian handed the Thorned Rose Set to Chris.

Chris was his first general, his first force, and currently the most important one—the very backbone of the army.

“Give it to General Chris, my Lord,” Yassin said, refusing the bloodline.

  Asia did the same.

“I advise my Lord to keep it for himself,” Chris said.

“No,” Ian replied. “You are the heart of the army. The stronger you are, the stronger the army becomes.” He then gave him the bloodline.

Chris clenched his fists and bowed deeply. “This humble one will serve you until death.”

  Chris

  Second Level – 1

Bloodline: Pale (permanently increases strength by 10%)

That meant that even within the Second Level, Chris was already 10% stronger than anyone else.

Ian smiled. A third Second-Level member.

“Now it’s time for the funeral,” Ian said.

  >>>>>>>>>>

To the north of the village stood a dense cluster of trees, packed so tightly that even rabbits could barely pass through them, forming a natural barrier.

There, the first soldiers’ graves were built.

The numbers 23 and 36 were engraved upon them, along with words carefully written by Zero: “The cleansing is complete.”

No one would understand these words except Zero, the other girls, and those who knew their past.

  Yes. The cleansing was complete.

They could now smile in the World of Death, without sorrow or shame.

  Ian exhaled softly.

  If I hadn’t used the Three-Petaled White Lotus… then now I would—

“Calm yourself, my Lord,” Yassin said, as if he could read his thoughts. “There are millions of islands in the World of Death. Don’t worry—we will retrieve them. We only need to crush the island’s Lord and move on to another one.”

  Ian nodded silently.

The funeral was quiet as the two bodies were carried on the soldiers’ shoulders.

Zero held a bundle of flowers and scattered them over the graves. The villagers followed her lead, flooding the area with countless rose petals.

  After the funeral ended—

“My Lord, I wish to take the soldiers to the World of Death for intense training,” Yassin said, bowing.

“As you wish. Take the Shadow Corps with you,” Ian ordered.

“As you command, my Lord,” Yassin bowed and led the forces away. It was time to use one of his monstrous skills—the Flexible Staff.

Asia suddenly stopped and said, “My Lord… I need to speak with you about a personal matter.”

Ian did not object, and they entered the Village Center.

A beautiful two-story building, colored in purple and white.

  >>>

  Inside, Asia bowed.

  “My Lord… please marry me.”

Ian was startled. “Are you finally ready to talk?”

Asia fell silent, as if struggling with something deep inside.

“Look… I’m not forcing you,” Ian said calmly. “But marriage… it doesn’t matter to me. Still, be honest with me if you want to help.”

Asia’s expression hardened. “Not now. But thank you for the Lord’s offer.”

Ian did not press her further and waved his hand.

Everyone has secrets, and high loyalty does not guarantee the revelation of those secrets.

  …

Three and a half days later.

  Morning of the tenth day.

The Titan Army stood at the borders of the Orc Village.

  - Second Level (7): Yassin, Asia, Chris, Bali, Liu, Tory, Porto

  - First Level (107): Noa, Boban, Zero…

  - White Tiger: Second Level

  - Powerful Wolves: 27

  - War Horses: 136

  - In addition, there were more than 190 others at Level Zero:

Knights, warriors, archers, assassins… and finally, the newest group to join Ian’s army—the Armored. Even Orcs were present among them.

The Armored were a class whose sole purpose was to defend immobile targets such as archers, or to be used in offense—shielding warriors or knights during charges and breakthroughs toward enemy fortresses.

They wore full-body armor from head to toe and carried massive shields held with both hands.

  At their head stood Ian.

Ian arrived in majesty atop the Royal War Horse, gazing toward the Orc Village and its Lord, who stood there trembling upon meeting Ian’s eyes.

To Ian’s right stood Chris, to his left Yassin, behind him Asia and the rest of the Second-Level members.

Behind them, the army was arranged: knights and armored troops at the front, warriors filling the gaps to the left and right, and archers positioned in the rear.

  A formation.

  A crushing formation.

  “Submit,” Ian ordered.

  One word.

  One command.

“We offer our respect,” the Orc Lord said, bowing.

  He understood well.

He had been anticipating this day, but the moment he saw them, his resolve shattered.

Even the Level Zero soldiers were terrifyingly strong, sharp auras leaking from their bodies.

They were not ordinary fighters of their level—each of them was stronger than anyone else of the same rank.

All of this was due to the influence of the monstrous skill Flexible Staff, and their training in the World of Death.

He had long anticipated this moment.

He had tried to obtain another Origin Stone or join another Orc Village—but he failed.

Ian had cut off every path of retreat and escape.

And now, the inevitable end had arrived.

He had fallen into Ian’s net—along with all his forces.

Ian smiled and looked up at the sky.

It was time for another step.

  >>>>

In Titan Village, something resembling a Breeding Gate was being prepared.

Aliano wiped the sweat from his brow and let out a long breath.

“Finally… the Teleportation Gate is complete.”
