Chapter 47 { Emergency Mission }

  Chapter 47

  { Emergency Mission }

  Soft Thorn Poison.

This was the genius of old Martin.

A Legendary-grade talent—not something hollow, but a title of immense weight and importance, Otherwise… why would the world turn against the Five Lords and pursue the Sixth and the Seventh?

  “Bastard.”

  “Take him.”

  The rest moved toward Ian.

Ian smiled with complete confidence, lowered his bow, and struck forward with both fists.

“I’ll crush you… Bone Breaker!” an Orc roared as his axe transformed into a gigantic weapon that looked capable of shattering the world.

  Ian’s smile never faded.

He dodged effortlessly in a lightning-fast moment and countered with a crushing blow.

  “Hell Grip.”

The strike sent the Orc flying, blood spraying from his mouth, before he crashed to the ground unconscious (whether dead or alive was unknown).

“Come on,” Ian smiled and moved toward them as the name of a skill surfaced in his mind.

Of course, aside from Hell Grip and Death Accumulation, he had learned other skills—especially from the skeletal beings.

He took a short step and leapt into the air.

  “Shadow of the King.”

Behind Ian, a massive, hazy, indistinct silhouette formed—unclear in shape, yet overwhelmingly majestic.

Ian slammed down onto the ground, shattering it into a spider web of cracks.

An unfortunate Orc stood before him; the instant Ian landed, the Orc was sent flying, spitting blood.

Ian’s fist clashed with another Orc’s sword, but his punch was aimed at the wrist—forcing the weapon free and crushing the wrist bones with ease.

Ian didn’t waste the opening and launched Death Accumulation.

Dozens of strikes followed one another before he released the twentieth blow.

  Bam.

It was enough to blast the Orc backward.

“The rest!” Ian shouted as he charged.

“Surround him!” The remaining Orcs gathered and rushed toward Ian.

“Why did I come?” Porto asked, staring at the White Tiger.

  Raaaar.

The tiger replied—but Porto didn’t understand.

Honestly, he still didn’t know why he was here at all.

Ian hadn’t explained anything on the way, as if he had brought him along merely for company.

Ian reached the twenty-seventh strike. By then, every Orc lay on the ground.

  “Bind them all.”

“As you command.” Porto moved toward them, thinking, So I really was brought along as an errand boy.

  Ian, meanwhile, headed inside.

  Awoooo—

Groups of ferocious wolves charged toward him.

There were dozens of them, all Level One.

As for the single Level Two wolf, it was accompanying the Orc leader in the campaign against Titan Village.

“A den of ferocious wolves… wonderful,” Ian thought as he looked at them.

“But… there’s no time to play with you.”

Ian evaded them and headed straight toward the village center.

“An enemy!!!... He’s defeated all the soldiers!”

  “He’s heading toward the center!”

  “Stop him!”

Women, children, and elders poured out of their homes toward Ian—soldiers… soldiers by instinct…That was the true nature of the Orcs.

  <<<<<<<<<<<

  On the other side.

Porto was binding them all with sturdy ropes.

“Wrong!!!!” spoke the Level Two Orc who was supposed to be dead.

  Porto ignored him.

The Orc was already on his last breaths, yet he showed no panic or fear.

“You should never have attacked an Orc village,” the Level Two Orc said.

Porto stared at him, confused by his words.

  They had gathered enough intelligence.

Three Level Two Orcs, more than 100 Level One Orcs, over 200 wolves led by a Level Two wolf.

These were the captive’s statements—confirmed as well by Porto, Leo, and the Shadow Team.

So how could there be something they didn’t know?, Porto assumed the Orc was delirious and ignored him.

The Orc smiled and closed his eyes, releasing his final breath. “You will regret defiling the sacred land of the Orcs.”

Then his eyes shut completely—and he died.

The poison was powerful, with no antidote taken, so death came swiftly.

Porto dismissed the words—until he saw something moving.

No—he heard an explosion, then felt something fly toward him…and the worst part was that the sound of what flew was human-like.

But there were no humans here at all (not even him)… except—!!!!!

Suddenly, Porto’s eyes widened as he looked ahead and saw Shonan—the legend, the ancestor of the Orcs—descending from the statue’s pedestal.

He saw stone come alive, the statue of Shonan transforming into a living being once more.

  Majestic.

  Powerful.

  Invincible.

“How dare a filthy human ant defile my land and touch what belongs to me!?”

  >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  On the other side.

The Orc forces advanced with savage momentum.

They rode atop wolves, and at the forefront sat the massive Level Two Orc Lord upon the Wolf King, with a vanguard of more than 100 wolves charging ahead.

  “Halt,” ordered the Orc Lord.

  The march stopped.

The Orc Lord and the other tall Level Two Orc each stared in a different direction—and in the same instant, they struck.

The tall one uttered a strange word.

A human scream followed, Then blood sprayed, and the corpse of one of the Shadow Squad girls appeared.

On the other side, the Orc Lord hurled his axe with terrifying speed toward a tree, splitting it cleanly in half—and with it appeared the body of another human girl from the Shadow Squad, severed into two pieces.

In a single moment, Ian lost two of his forces—two girls who had joined only recently.

“Tsk… humans truly think too highly of themselves with these cheap tricks,” the Orc Lord sneered, extending his hand as the axe trembled and flew back into its owner’s grasp.

  “Move,” the Orc Lord ordered.

  On the other side.

Chris regrouped with Yassin and the others after finishing the problem of the Imps.

It had been a truly difficult battle, but once their advantage was reduced and they were scattered again and again, their momentum dropped sharply.

Most importantly, they hadn’t allowed them to multiply endlessly.

“Now we must kill their mothers and obtain their Genesis Stone,” Chris said as Zero appeared.

“General!” she shouted. “Two members of the Shadow Team have been killed by the Orc army!”

“What did you say?” Chris shouted.

“That’s not the worst of it… the Lord… the Lord—”

“Speak,” Chris ordered, his heart sinking.

“The Lord is on the verge of death!” Zero cried.

“Whaaaaaat—!”Chris appeared in front of her in an instant and grabbed her by the neck.

“General, calm down,” Yassin said, restraining him forcefully and pushing his hand away. He looked at her. “Explain the situation in detail.”

“It’s like this,” Zero said, ignoring what had just happened to her.

  >>>>>>>>>>>>

  At the Orc village.

  Ian was inside the pit.

His armor was torn open down the middle by a wolf’s claw, exposing a vicious wound on his abdomen, blood flowing freely from it.

Ian’s face had turned pale, and he seemed on the brink of unconsciousness.

“Humans… humans… humans, In the past and the present, you bastards still try to dominate the world, But do not forget—we are its eternal rulers, And now, with the beginning of the new era, you will never get that chance again”.

Inside Ian’s mind, the voice of the world resounded.

**An emergency mission has been issued. A higher existence is speaking to you**.

Wretched… weak… pitiful… unable to kill even a lingering remnant. You are a disgrace to my gift.
