Chapter 22 { Strange!! }

  Chapter 22

  { Strange!! }

“Don’t let it run!” Ian shouted as he tightened his grip on the bow. “Moment of Glory!”

Suddenly, the bow and arrow evaporated, releasing a powerful radiance.

  Moment of Glory

  Legendary

Unleash the full potential of a weapon in a single final attack (Note: the weapon will be destroyed afterward).

The bow and arrow collapsed, but Ian didn’t stop.

  Moment of Glory.

  Moment of Glory.

He fired three times, leaving only one bow on his back.

“General’s Sword!” Chris gathered the nine once more, and they unleashed the strike through the formation banner.

The skeleton general paused and swung its blade, but the incoming attacks were stronger, sending it flying—

  BOOOOOOM!

The skeleton general soared through the air and crashed into the center of the village… or what used to be the village center.

  “Is it over?” Noa panted.

The formation banner had drained them to a terrifying degree.

Even Chris was frowning… he had consumed more than half his strength already.

Normally, he could unleash the General’s Sword five times—this number hadn’t increased because his training hadn’t progressed much in the last two days. He was still at First Level, Step 0. But after using the banner… at best, he could manage one more strike.

**Your subordinate Chris has killed an opponent above his level.

  Reward… Mirror Shard.**

That thing again… Ian was surprised, a little confused, but he had already formed some assumptions. He stored the second shard.

  Eight remain.

  “Clean the battlefield,” Ian ordered.

With the leader fallen, the remaining skeletons were nothing but meat on a chopping block and were dealt with easily.

As for Ian, he walked to the village center and collected the loot from the skeleton general’s corpse.

  A sword and a spear—rare grade.

  A rare skill.

  A black key.

Ian handed the sword to Liu. “Use it well.”

“Thank you, my lord.” Liu bowed.

As for the spear, there were no spear-users in the village, so it was stored away.

  And the key…

“”He used it to open a treasure chest and obtained several valuable items.””

“It seems there’s a treasure here,” Ian said as he opened the door.

But the inside wasn’t what he expected.

There was a long underground corridor—stairs descending endlessly into darkness.

  Stolen story; please report.

Ian stopped and waited for the others to catch up.

He looked at the soldiers, especially the wolf with the deep wound, and sighed.

He still hadn’t ordered Aliano to look for an doctor profession.

  Why?

Because there were no herbs in the village… no potion recipes…

Martin could craft some healing pills using his abilities and the cauldron he owned, but…

  No herbs.

  No recipes.

There couldn’t be a doctor or an alchemist out of thin air…

It was a profession bound by countless restrictions—just like cooking.

How could the greatest chef in the world cook with no food… no spices… no kitchen or utensils?

  Simple.

The village was far too poor and lacked almost everything.

The moment Ian stepped onto the stairs—

  Woosh—

Torches along the walls ignited on their own.

  “Ghost…” Boban whispered.

  “Silence,” Chris commanded sharply.

He advanced, but Ian raised a hand, stopping him.

  “My lord!!!”

“No need. I am the lord, not you,” Ian said and descended first.

They encountered no problems along the path… until they reached the bottom.

There, they were greeted by waves of skeletons.

More than fifty skeletons stood before them.

“My lord, fall back!” Chris shouted. “General’s Sword!”

Chris cleared the corridor with one strike.

Ian didn’t retreat—he drew his last bow, placed three arrows, and fired.

His shots were powerful and vicious.

  But something was strange…

  The skeletons were extremely fragile.

The moment an arrow touched one, it collapsed instantly.

Ian was momentarily stunned… but he didn’t stop shooting.

  “Save your strength,” he ordered.

Chris and the others noticed the same thing and engaged in combat.

The skeletons were incredibly fragile despite their large numbers.

But the strangeness didn’t stop there…

They didn’t drop anything when they died.

“This is weird… even their weapons vanish with them,” Ian muttered, baffled.

Normally, monster drops would at least include weapons, some coins, or a skill book.

  But now—nothing.

  Even their bodies dissolved immediately.

  How is this happening?

Ian’s mind swirled with questions as he pressed forward until they reached a side chamber.

Inside was a large pile of bronze coins and a small chest.

Is… is this the treasure chest?

  Ian wondered.

  “Noa… any traps?” Ian asked.

Noa checked quickly and shook his head. “None, my lord.”

  “Good.” Ian stepped inside—

And suddenly, iron bars slammed down, sealing the room.

“My lord!!” Chris roared, rushing to the bars and striking them.

  CLANG!

His sword clashed against the metal, sparks exploding out.

  !@#!$$

Strange noises echoed, and a skeleton rose from within the pile of bronze coins.

  Skeleton — Level 1 — Sword User

“GENERAL’S SWORD!” Chris shouted, unleashing a powerful strike.

  CLANG!

The bars blocked the attack as if it was nothing.

“Gather up! Prepare the banner!” Chris shouted again.

“Calm down, Chris,” Ian said quietly, eyes locked on his opponent.

He was about to draw his bow when suddenly—

All his weapons were yanked upward by a magnetic force and stuck to the ceiling.

So… not even my weapons. You're stripping me of everything here…

  Ian smiled faintly.

There was no fear in his eyes—only a strange curiosity, and unwavering focus on the skeleton before him.

“Noa—I’ll kill you!” Chris roared, pointing his sword at Noa.

Noa’s body trembled, and he took a step back.

The fear on his face wasn’t for Chris… it was for Ian.

“I said calm down… I can handle this,” Ian breathed, stepping toward the skeleton.

The purple aura inside him spread a chilling cold through his body and the air—terrifying everyone watching.

  Legend of Weakness

You will not fear an enemy stronger than you.

The skeleton screeched and swung its sword at Ian.

Ian dodged effortlessly, stepping in and launching a sharp punch.

The strike was powerful—enough to stagger the skeleton for a moment before it swung again, trying to take Ian’s life.

Ian dodged again, smooth and controlled, then countered with another punch.

Chris and the others were stunned.

  What… what is happening…?

  Close-combat martial arts.

“Did you know about this?” Liu asked.

Chris stayed silent outwardly… but in his mind:

Idiot, we came together—how would I know something you don’t?

  Of course they didn’t know.

None of them knew Ian had once been the world-level boxing champion…

Ranked third, then second, for two full years in his weight class.

He couldn’t kill the skeleton—its level was higher, and its body much tougher.

  But at the same time…

The skeleton couldn’t kill him either.

  Woosh—

Three green crescents shot out from the skeleton’s sword.

Ian leapt upward and came down with a hammering punch straight into the skeleton’s eye socket.

The impact shook the creature backward.

Pain shot through Ian’s joints, his skin reddened, and his bones screeched… but he didn’t stop.

He pounced on the fallen skeleton, pinning it to the ground—

—and unleashed a barrage of brutal punches.

  Until finally—

You have killed a Level 1 Skeleton with your bare hands

**....... Someone from above is impressed by you **

  Someone from above…

  Ian froze, instinctively glancing upward.

A cheerful voice thundered into his mind, yet carried overwhelming majesty.

**Interesting… such powerful boxing arts…And you're one of the Seven…Very well—let me give you a little help and see how far you can go.**

**Alert: You have received a small gift from the Above.**

  Class: Elemental Boxer (Legendary)

Training Art: Rise of the Failure (Legendary)

  Skill: Death Accumulation {Legendary}

**Let’s see how far you’ll reach, little human ant** the Above said, while Ian stood frozen like a statue.

  Then world notifications appeared—

**The first Legendary Class has appeared in the world.

Congratulations to Lord Taitan for obtaining it.**

  The world turned upside down.
