Chapter 13
{ The Bandit Leader }
"Let's move," Ian ordered as he advanced silently from the rear.
The location was exposed, so the idea of stealth was impossible… but now, with the wolves clearing the path, everything became possible.
Ian did not bring all his forces.
Only Chris and Liu… Boban and Noa… Tory and Porto (the goblin archer).
He brought his strongest forces.
They moved lightly behind Ian, who kept a large distance between himself and the wolves, making a wide arc to reach the side of the cave without being seen.
Awooooooooooo—
The howl of the wolves tore through the silence of the night, terrifying the bandits on the towers.
Below, there was a small patrol of about ten bandits, but the moment they saw the scene, they ran into the cave immediately.
“Cowards!” a bandit on the tower shouted—yet he himself was running toward the cave.
The wolves’ numbers exceeded a hundred, and many among them were at the first level.
Fighting them would be utter stupidity—especially since the entire patrol of more than twenty had only one person at the first level.
Fighting meant death.
Crash—
The towers fell beneath the wolves’ claws as the bandits fled inside.
But they weren’t fast enough… or rather, not all of them…
“Aaaaaaaah! Save me!”
One of the bandits was torn apart beneath the wrath of the wolf king’s claws, unable to muster any strength to resist.
As for help????
We’re talking about bandits here… only benefits matter… and that’s after life, not before it.
In death, who cares about benefits?
Whoosh—
One of the archers fired an arrow at the wolf king.
Howl—
The wolf king roared, releasing a loud shockwave from its mouth.
The sound was so powerful that it stopped the arrow mid-air.
“A skill!!”
Ian’s eyes gleamed as he watched the scene from afar, still advancing cautiously toward the cave.

“Blade Flash!”
Another bandit shouted and swung his sword at one of the wolves.
Suddenly, a flash glowed on the body of the wolf that had been attacked, and its fur thickened several times over.
Clang—
It was like the clash of swords.
Unfortunately, the wolf that was attacked was at the first level… and the bandit was in mid-step, not yet having reached the first level.
Howl…
The wolf howled, opened its jaws wide, and devoured the upper half of the bandit.
“Night Arrow!”
Suddenly, a powerful arrow shot out from the patrol leader.
A bandit at the first level…
His arrow was strong enough to kill a first-level wolf with ease.
Howl…
The wolf king howled and moved toward the patrol leader.
“Night Arrow!”
The patrol leader fired another arrow.
Awooooooooooo—
The wolf king released a powerful shockwave…
This time it was stronger than before—not only stopping the arrow but sending it back toward the patrol leader.
The patrol leader frowned and leapt upward; his steps were swift and firm.
The cave and its uneven rocks posed no problem for him.
Strangely, after surviving, he didn’t run. He began firing rapidly at the wolves.
He no longer targeted the strong ones—he focused on the weak to reduce the pressure.
Awooooooooooo—
The wolf king roared and, with a high leap, reached the patrol leader.
The patrol leader paled, not expecting the wolf king to possess two skills—but it was too late.
Rip—
Noa swallowed hard as he witnessed the scene…
He had thought the patrol leader was safe, but he hadn’t realized the wolf king was powerful and possessed two skills… and the most shocking part was the scene of devouring…
He tore him apart completely.
The wolf king’s fangs were drenched in blood and flesh.
Spit—
The wolf king spat out the patrol leader’s corpse and howled angrily as he landed and rushed toward the cave.
Awooooooooooo—
Their cries stirred fear and terror.
Boban’s hands trembled. “Thank goodness we didn’t fight them head-on…”
Ian ignored them and pointed toward the corpses.
Liu understood and moved.
Soon, they gathered a pile of loot—
The loot of the bandits, with the patrol leader at the top.
A first-level wolf corpse and two others killed by the patrol leader’s arrows. And finally, the small wolf’s corpse.
The village would gain no experience from these kills—because they weren’t slain by Ian and his forces… and most importantly, the village center had not yet been built.
But the loot was still there…
7 swords, one bow, and a large bundle of arrows.
12 bronze coins.
2 silver coins.
A Night Arrow skill rune.
Good…
Ian smiled, especially when he saw that the bow was a Normal Bow, not a Common one. Finally, a good item.
Ian kept it.
Even so, he would not fight… he had not trained enough in this world yet, and thus he did not make himself a main combatant—only a supporter at best.
Loud noises began erupting from inside the cave…
Shouts upon shouts from the fierce battle within—bandits screaming, wolves howling…
Ian’s group entered the cave smiling as they collected the loot.
“We’re rich!” Boban said excitedly.
The drop rate of items and coins exceeded his expectations.
And all of this with a small number of deaths… imagine when everyone dies.
“Retreat… retreat to the leader!”
The bandits shouted as they fled deeper inside, beneath the wolves’ feet and their tearing claws.
At the front, leading the assault personally, was the wolf king—tearing through the flimsy defenses of the bandits, destroying their coordination, and annihilating them one by one…
No one could stop his advance or even scratch him.
Even the first-level bandits who began to appear inside the cave were killed moments after they showed up…
They couldn’t touch this tyrant.
Meanwhile, Ian and his group collected the loot that fell from wolves and humans alike, staying in the rear as they prepared traps for any escapee…
Ian’s plan was to leave no soul alive here.
No one would escape today.
“Great work, Noa,” Ian praised.
Noa smiled and bowed respectfully. “All thanks to the Lord.”
These traps weren’t for capturing this time, but for killing.
“Now we watch,” Ian ordered as he retreated… he no longer advanced forward.
“You insolent wolf… how dare you invade my hideout?”
A powerful scream erupted from deep within the cave, followed by an explosion that shook the entire cavern.
Howl—
A howl rose from the wolves, sounding like a lament—a sign of wolves dying.
“This power…” Chris sensed it and was shocked. “Lord… it’s extremely strong.”
Ian frowned… this was the difficult variable—now even more troublesome.
