Chapter Seven
{ Against the Goblins }
The next morning…
Ian hadn’t slept.
He didn’t know why, but he felt he no longer needed sleep the way he used to.
He guarded the entire village, and at the same time processed all the meat they had hunted yesterday.
As for Yora, she stayed with him for a while before he ordered her to get some rest.
As soon as the cool down on the Spawning Gate ended…
Ian summoned five new villagers.
They were young—two females, two males, and one elderly woman.
She didn’t look too old… just in her fifties.
Ian assigned her to become the new cook.
She didn’t have a profession yet, but she would get one soon.
Their grades—hers and the four youths—were all Common, which disappointed Ian a little, but the feeling vanished quickly.
Ian ordered the remaining four to change their profession to Warrior, then instructed Chris to train them for a bit… while he took
Liu, the five original members, and Noa leading them, on another trip outside.
The task was the same as before: clearing the borders, training the troops, gathering materials.
But this time, they encountered big prey—
A strong tiger on the verge of death.
Ian felt a surge of excitement.
“Let’s handle it the way we practiced,” Liu said, stepping forward.
“Wait.” Ian raised his hand, stopping them.
Liu, Noa, and the others looked at him in confusion.
“I’ll deal with it myself,” Ian said, stepping toward the tiger.
“My lord???” Liu shouted and moved toward him—
“Do not disobey my orders.”
A royal aura burst out of Ian, freezing Liu in place.
Noa and the others were stunned, while Liu bowed.
“My deepest apologies, my lord!”
Even so, his sword was already drawn, ready to strike if anything happened.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
Ian approached the tiger and drew his blade.
Roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar…
It was a white tiger with black stripes and pearl-like eyes.
Its body was covered in wounds—it looked as if it had just survived a vicious battle with another beast.
Its aura made it clear: it was a Rank One monster.
Only Liu and Chris were capable of defeating it.
Of course, the tiger was injured now and couldn’t muster even half its strength—
Yet it was still a monster… and monsters only fall fighters, not cowards.
The beast would fight until its final breath—
That was its nature.
But Ian didn’t want it dead.
Ian let his sword fall to the ground and stepped closer to the creature.
Roaaaaaaaaaaar—
The white tiger roared and tried to stand.
“I don’t want to kill you,” Ian said.
“I know you’re wary of me… but I’m not like them.
I want you.
I want you… with me.”
Roaaaaaaaar
The tiger roared louder, its ferocity rising, its aura growing more savage.
It bared its fangs.
If Ian reached it, the tiger would kill him—not just kill him… tear him apart.
Ian smiled and advanced with confidence.
His steps were calm, steady.
A king.
A true king.
A king not born into royalty—But one who would become the King of all Kings.
Liu’s hand tightened on his sword, his body moving forward instinctively.
“Do not approach,” Ian said, sensing him.
“But my lord?!”
“He won’t harm me,” Ian replied with absolute certainty.
“My lord… it’s just—”
“Do not move.”
Ian’s command was firm as he continued toward the white tiger.
Each step he took released a mysterious aura—one that calmed the beast’s savage nature and made it comprehend Ian’s intent.
Roar…
The tiger’s roar softened as Ian came closer… and closer… until he finally placed his hand atop its head.
The tiger closed its eyes, unresisting.
“Give me your loyalty,” Ian said quietly.
Roar…
The tiger responded as if it understood.
**Congratulations to Lord Ian for subduing a beast without using a profession or skill**
Reward: Lord Profession Progress +1%.
Hmm… nothing else? Ian was surprised.
He expected more—but received nothing.
He brushed it aside and examined the tiger.

Excellent.
Ian smiled and ordered the men to carry the tiger.
It roared at them, but calmed when it saw Ian’s gesture.
Ian returned to the village and instructed the alchemist, Martin, to treat it.
Martin scratched his head with a frown, saying nothing.
“You can’t heal him?” Ian asked.
“I can clean the wound and bandage it… but to fully treat him? Unfortunately, I don’t have any pills or herbs to make medicine right now. And I don’t even have the proper recipe.
But monsters have incredible natural regeneration. If we clean and dress the wound, he should recover in about a week to ten days,” Martin explained.
“A week…” Ian frowned. He needed the tiger now.
The tiger’s strength would be invaluable to him… but more importantly, its traits.
Unlike Ian’s group, the tiger was a pure beast, able to move through the forest freely without raising suspicion. It would have made a perfect scout—unmatched in tracking and reconnaissance.
And now… all of that slipped away.
“That’s the best-case scenario. It could take up to fifteen days,” Martin added.
Ian sighed. “Take good care of him.”
“With my life, my lord,” Martin said, taking the tiger to the garden where the environment would help it heal faster.
Ian considered placing the white tiger in the empty Den, but shook his head.
The Cerberus Hounds would be far more valuable, with much higher potential.
Their spawning rate wouldn’t match the white tiger’s, but the difference wouldn’t be huge—yet the gap in abilities would be enormous.
There was simply no comparison.
Such was the nature of the Cerberus Hounds’ unique traits.
“My lord, what you asked for is ready,” Aliano said as he approached and handed Ian a rune.
Ian took it, smiling.
“How many coins and swords do we have?” Ian asked.
“Twenty-three Common swords, one hundred and two copper coins, and a single silver coin,” Yora replied.
“Good… gather everything. It’s time to bring down that village,” Ian said, smiling.
Chris.
Liu and Noa.
Eight warriors.
And finally… Ian himself.
The white tiger roared from afar, wanting to follow, but Ian waved a hand.
He would return to it with plenty of new company.
Ian handed the stone to Noa, who took it and crushed it in his hands.
The group arrived at the location of the yellow iron mine and began their plan.
