Chapter 15: Are Fairies Ticklish

Drasna laid on her stomach on Isobella’s bed, her legs kicking the air while her chin rested in her palms. Her hair was still damp from washing up in Isobella’s fancy bathroom. It was a welcome change to her normal showers under the waterfalls at the monastery, or the wash basin she used as a child. Isobella had acquired a bottle of pineapple vanilla scented shampoo for her, claiming it would suit her.

Drasna had recently begun to spend the weekends with Isobella at the Chateau. She would often help the maids by carrying the heavy stuff, or chopping the wood as the weather was getting cooler. The monk had grown rather fond of the noble's home. As she looked around the room, she noticed there had been an addition of green objects. Pillows, nicknacks, and a stained glass chessboard with both green and purple pieces. She smiled at Isobella’s subtlety in her attempts to make her feel welcome even down to the decor.

Drasna watched Isobella step out of her closet in her fancy satin night gown and sit on the bed next to her.

Drasna spoke up, “You know it’s been 3 months since we started dating.”

Isobella shifted to match Drasna’s pose, “Is there something particularly special about that amount of time? Do I need to do something?”

Drasna smirked and shook her head, “No, not really, maybe 6 months or a year, but I was thinking about a change of scenery. As much as I’m still miffed about the Korin incident, I did push past my limits and I’m doing better than ever. That being said, I don’t want to burn myself out, so I thought we could go on a trip?”

Isobella perked up with excitement, “A trip? To where and for how long? I’m not opposed, but I need to know before I agree.”

Drasna nodded, “Right, of course, you still run a business after all, but I was thinking maybe a few days?”

Isobella sighed with relief, “Y-yes the business, Tristan can handle things, but I would need to make the preparations.”

Drasna smiled with excitement, “Awesome! I was thinking about maybe going into town, it's not too far, so we could go on foot and go to a tavern or a show. Or maybe we could rent a boat or something and look for treasure in the ocean, that’s kinda warlocky, right?”

Isobella scoffed and shook her head, “I think you’re confusing the kind of warlock I am, I do not care for the sea, there are too many weird slimy things.”

Drasna nodded, “Okay no ocean, maybe we can try a beach or a cove at some point, but where would you rather go? It would be your vacation too after all.”

Isobella hummed in thought for a moment, “I would very much like to visit the desert city of Vulcarose.”

Drasna sat up and looked confused, “The desert? How and why would you want to go there?”

Isobella giggled, “I enjoy learning about architecture, and we might as well go to some place warm. I have a wizard associate in town who can send us there. Did I not tell you anything worth doing is worth doing correctly?”

“Really? I didn’t know you liked architecture, I guess I can see the appeal. Anyway if that's how you feel, then I’d love to check out Vulcarose too. I’d probably never get to go on my own after all.” Drasna admitted.

Isobella clapped her hands together, “Perfect then I will prepare everything and we can go next week!”

“Wow that soon? I’m so excited!” Drasna declared, grappling Isobella into a hug.

The two fell back on the bed, Isobella nuzzled close to her favorite blond, while Drasna hid a smirk. She had recently discovered her favorite thing about her precious warlock. Hidden beneath all the silky layers of her silky dress were the most ticklish set of ribs in the world. Drasna locked Isobella in place with her strong legs, and got her fingers slowly into place.

“Hey Izzy, is that one maid, Selene, still having those nightmares?”

“Well as a matter of fact no, she’s-hehehahahaha, NO!” Isobella began to answer but fell into a laughing fit.

Drasna hooked her chin over Isobella’s shoulder and continued to make her fingers dance across the noble's delicate ribs. Isobella squirmed and laughed especially loud, Drasna had no doubt if anyone walked by the door to the room they would hear.

“Hahaha-stop it you-hahahaha! You fiend! Hehehaha” Isobella tried to express.

Drasna grinned but slowed her assault a bit, “But your laugh is just so intoxicating, maybe if you can manage to say the magic word for me, miss Warlock.”

Isobella called upon all her will power, “P-PLEASE!!!! NO MORE!!!”

Drasna ceased her teasing and tickling and released her leg lock. Isobella took a moment to catch her breath before turning around to start bonking Drasna on the head. Drasna didn’t try to stop her, it hardly hurt at all and she knew she deserved it. After taking her punishment from Isobella, Drasna pulled her close into a much more affectionate hug.

Drasna giggled, “I’m sorry, I couldn’t help it, you have such an adorable laugh.”

Isobella pouted, “I’ll find where your weakness is, and when I do, I’ll be the one listening to adorable laughter.”

Drasna chuckled and wiggled her toes out of sight, “I’m sure you’ll figure it out eventually, or maybe I’m just not a ticklish kinda girl.”

Isobella grumbled, “Don’t make me hypnotize you!”

Drasna took over as big spoon, and held Isobella tight, before throwing the covers over them. Isobella shifted and smelled faintly of blackberries as she always did, it was a scent Drasna always enjoyed even before meeting Isobella. It had very recently begun to smell like home to her. She would have to ask for a blackberry candle to bring home to her room up the mountain.

Drasna spoke up, “So, how do you know this wizard anyway?”

Isobella explained in a sleepy voice, “I was able to get him a specific magic item he was struggling to acquire, in exchange for a favor. I’ve yet to call upon his aid in any of my endeavors. I suspect he will not have an issue helping us, and if he does, well. I can be quite persuasive"
