The journey back to town was rather uneventful. Without the worry of the invading kingdom ambushing us, the only dangers were the occasional mindless creatures that attacked us.
I didn’t find any reason to conquer them, and my minions did need to eat. Though it had me thinking. With my growing followers I’ll need to figure out how to feed them better soon. Just another to add to the list of things to accomplish.
During our journey back, I called V and Damian to see how things were doing at my new kingdom. I was curious how the people are reacting without me around. Thankfully they informed me that they were continuing things like before and V didn’t sense any hostiles, or ‘bad guys’ as they put it, on their [Map] for now. If something does come up, they have been instructed to inform me by the call feature as soon as possible.
With my worries about the kingdom out of the way, we came back to my familiar town. Everyone there was waiting with bated breath. The second they saw us return they all came rushing by. Many of them had a slew of questions.
“S-so did you do it? Are we safe?”
“The anticipation is killing me! Will we have to worry for another invasion?!”
I raised my claw which quieted them down. I looked around and it seemed like everyone was still here. I didn’t notice any changes to my followers list so at the very least both my human and monster minions were behaving.
They gazed at me, waiting for my answers to their burning questions. I cracked a smile then raised my arms up to the air far and wide. “Veehahahahaha!! Do not worry! Through hard work I have conquered the Mivtic Kingdom, and it is mine now!! Rejoice!!”
They were stunned silent, unsure if what I was saying was the truth. One of the ex-soldiers from the kingdom nervously came up, “R-really? And what of the king and his knight commander?”
I figured it was best to answer honestly. After all, there was no reason for me to hide it “They have been eliminated. They will no longer be a bother to us or anyone ever again.”
The crowd grew silent, many of them picked up on the meaning behind my words. But that silence didn’t last long before the ex-soldiers began to cheer. Many of them loudly voiced their relief.
“We’re finally rid of those awful men!”
“We no longer have to be in fear anymore!!”
“Praise Lord Vladimir. The Tiny Tyrant!!”
I merely lost my footing from that last comment, barely keeping myself from falling off Mordred’s shoulder.
…. That damn title! It was already showing its influence in this town too! I was about to correct the man before the rest of my followers unfortunately started to join in the cheer themselves.
“Cheers to our Tiny Tyrant!!”
They all were now referring to me by that damnable title! Even Mordred couldn’t help but call me that. In fact, he seemed the most excited by it! The only one who wasn’t calling me that was the vulture Beastman, Zephyrus. He was too busy chuckling to himself to one of his clawed hands and looking away, putting all his effort into not busting out laughing.
I couldn’t help but take a deep breath of annoyance, it was going to take far too much effort to correct them. And I get this nagging feeling that it would do little to stop them anyway. My only saving grace was that Damian wasn’t here at the moment. Knowing him he would find this whole thing ‘cute’ and try to give me one of his infamous bear hugs….
It took some time for everyone to calm down and to stop cheering. Once things settled down, I continued. “Alright now, just cause the kingdom’s been conquered doesn’t mean I’m done. With a lot of new minions, it’s time we focused on establishing my own new kingdom.”

“And how will you go about that Lord Vladimir?” The old mayor asked. He must be wondering what would happen to his town now that my territory has been expanded.
I wagged my claw towards the old man with a small smile. “Don’t you worry. I have no intention of forcing any changes with you all. Rather, I want to help improve the quality of life of this place.”
The townsfolks seemed baffled. Despite the time I had already invested in improving the town’s defenses, there still seemed to be some doubt with them. “B-but why? Why do this for us? You already have control of this town. Not only that but you just recently conquered a kingdom. Why go through all this?”
All the humans were murmuring to themselves. Even if they’re getting used to the idea of a monster being in charge and having monster citizens, they still have worries.
After giving them some time to contemplate I decided to answer the human’s question. I jumped off of Mordred’s soldier and walked up to them. “There’s nothing really to it. Every one of you is all mine. As such I have responsibilities to keep things safe and secure. If I wish to conquer this entire world, I want to have everything running smoothly. Like having a precious toy and keeping it pristine and valuable.”
I then pulled my arm forward, cupping my claws like I’m holding a cup. “So, what do you say? Do you want to help me keep what is mine safe? ~”
They all quiet down, though they didn’t look like they enjoyed being compared to something to possess, none of them voiced their complaints. Instead, they looked at the bigger picture. Since I proved that I would prioritize their safety and health, it was better for them to submit and accept their fates in me.
All the humans bent slightly down to bow as they all chanted. “Yes, Lord Vladimir!”
Good, glad to see they know their place better. I’ll need to make sure to incorporate the same into the humans back in the ruined kingdom. For now, there were lots of things for me to do.
I had everyone return to their routine. The monsters that came with me returned back to base, many of them wanting to retell the tale of my conquests. It was nice to see them get along with each other more. Before, there was a clear divide between the small and larger monsters with fear of being overpowered from one side and the other looking down on them. But now, there was a start of camaraderie mixed with them after the coordinated efforts between them all. Glad to see my idea of mixing the races up equally worked to my advantage.
I even started to pick up one a few of their conversations as they returned to their posts.
Some of them were asking questions to the team that were assigned to me. “So how was it working directly with the chief.”
“It was insane! He stayed confident the entire time! Especially when he had us all lifted up in the air so fast!” One goblin recalled.
“Wait, are you talking about when the boss would cause the ground to launch him to the air at high speed? I always wondered what it was like.”
The orc that was working with me shook his head violently. “No you do not! Just one time was enough with me! Felt like I was going to die then!”
A brown kobold was holding himself tight. Like he was afraid he was going to lose his footing again. “I don’t know how the chief handles that kind of speed all of the time! I could barely keep myself together from just one time!”
I decided to leave them in their own conversations. Instead, I walked up to the mayor as motioned to the vulture Beastman.
“Before I forget, I should introduce my new temporary henchman Zephyrus.”
Zeph does a dramatic bow towards the old man while holding his hat. “Pleasure to meet you. Do hope we enjoy each other’s company in the meantime.”
The mayor took it in with little trouble, it was easier for him to accept a Beastman compared to a monster like me after all.
He then motioned me to come by his office later. With all the new developments that have happened, there were a lot of plans we would need to discuss. I followed behind, asking for Mordred to give Zeph a tour around my town.
Once we were somewhere private and away from unnecessary eyes, we began our important discussion. “Lord Vladimir, now that you have accomplished so much. It’s important more than ever on what are next course of action will be.”
“I agree. With the fall of one kingdom will be the rise of another. Our first order of business would be to name my new Kingdom!”
The old man looked flabbergasted and tried to interject. “B-But lord Vladimir, that is the least of our conce-”
I ignored him while continuing my thoughts. “Now what shall it be? hmm…maybe it should be something like the Red Scale kingdom, in reminiscent to my own red scales~”
“I-”
“Nah, too on the nose. How about Vladmire, like my name. ~”
The mayor threw his arms up in defeat, looking like he was giving up on something.
I paid it no mind, going deep in thought until inspiration struck. Having come up an epic name I jumped out of my chair and raised my claws up in the air in joy! This would be the perfect name!!
“I got it! A name to represent my total conquest for the entire lands and beyond in this world!”
I clenched my claw into a fist and to my chest, my teeth baring its fangs in delight.
“It won’t just be a simple kingdom no…. From now on people shall fear my name and tremble before the might of my Dominia Empire!! Veehahahahaha!!!! ~”
The mayor slowly clapped. Rather unenthusiastically, I might add. Doesn’t seem like he was into the name as I was. Fine by me, soon enough the name will grow on him as will it to the others. ~
