The guard squad was assembled quickly and assembled around me. We moved over to the magos, and got in formation. A bit later, the magos's guards arived. A squad of skitarii, which joined formation with us seamlessly.
"Sargent, to the magos's quarters, if you please." I order. He moved forward and led us towards the upper decks. We arrived in a section 300 meters away from the bridge. A secure space un the upper decks.
The magos entered his quarters, but before he closed the door, I spoke. "For your safety, magos, I advise a split of each security detail. Half with you inside, half out in the hall."
He looked at me with augmetic eyes, then half of the skitarii moved with him inside, while half stayed out here. I waved the Sargent and a few others in, and the door closed.
"Watch each hall entry, and be relaxed. I do not truly believe there will be a threat that shoots us. It is probable they will attempt infiltration. We will rotate guards inside occasionally. Unlatch helms, to show your face. That will be all." I say over coms.

A smattering of 'ay man's came through, and orders were followed. A relaxed, if vigilant guard was posted, and we stood at rest. Well, they did, I simply stood as I usually did.
When the call to rotate the guards, it was accomplished quickly. The Sargent and I switched places, and the wait began anew. Luckily for the guards inside, they now had seats to use. I stood as I usually did.
Just before we left port, the priest emerged from a side room. He moved straight to us, and the guards got up. I watched him aproach, motionless.
"Why have you been sent to guard me?" He inquired. There was no discernable emotion in his voice, nor what little face he had left. His body was also not a help in this regard.
"A simple answer. I am the best guard aboard ship. As well, I am a member of Heir Anibeli's retinue, and thus trusted. Unless something completely unexpected occurs, you will be kept alive as ordered." I say.
I pause for a moment, before I politely ask. "Tell me, if you may, would you like conversation? Or perhaps refreshments. Something else?" I ask.
"Alcohol and conversation." He says. I pause for a fraction of a fraction of a second, before I wave one of the guards to the door.
"inform the shipmistriss of his request, please. Return with the requested item." I say. The guard nods, then leaves. "Now, Honored magos, what do you wish to converse about?"
