Chapter 14 : Floor 7

On the night before Clan Origin entered Floor Seven, Rey sat inside his private room together with Alex, his gaze fixed on the large map spread across the table. The map had been purchased at a steep price from an external merchant, but the information it contained was far too valuable to ignore.

Alex leaned forward and pointed at several marked locations.

“Floor Seven is filled with traps… and that’s not even the worst part,” he said seriously. “The monsters here are far stronger than anything we’ve faced before.”

He paused, then continued, his finger tracing a dangerous route across the parchment.

“The most dangerous threat,” Alex added, “is a massive Orc horde. According to the merchant, the Kingdom of Hyleos once encountered them—between fifty to a hundred Orcs, led by an Orc Warlord.”

Alex deliberately emphasized the last word.

“They’re almost impossible to defeat for ordinary adventurers. But that’s still not everything. Deep within this floor lies a massive crystal. An elite monster guards it… and inside that crystal is something extremely important—something Hyleos never managed to retrieve.”

Rey stared at the map in silence. His expression remained calm, but a sharp light burned in his eyes. He understood this clearly—tomorrow would not be an ordinary dungeon raid.

It would be the beginning of a real war.

After a brief silence, Rey finally spoke, his voice steady yet heavy with resolve.

“Alex… tomorrow is the day Clan Origin rises into history. But we have one problem.”

  Alex raised an eyebrow, waiting.

“Our territory,” Rey continued. “Who’s guarding it?”

Alex suddenly laughed, relaxed and confident.

“Hahaha… Rey, that’s already taken care of.”

He straightened up and spoke calmly.

“We’ll enter the dungeon with all Clan executives, including every captain and members from Divisions One to Ten.”

  Then Alex stood and continued,

“The remaining divisions have been assigned to monitor the clan territory. I’ve appointed the leader of Division Eleven—Tristan’s subordinate, Level 62—to command and coordinate all the stationed divisions.”

Rey listened carefully, surprised by how detailed the preparations were.

“I’ve also hired external parties ranked A-Class and S-Class to guard the Clan Origin territories,” Alex added casually.

  Rey’s eyes widened.

“Wait—S-Class parties? Isn’t that insanely expensive?”

  Alex waved his hand dismissively.

“Rey, don’t worry. Leave price negotiations to me.”

  Then his tone sharpened slightly.

“I’ve also instructed my subordinates to gather intel in case the Adventurer Guild or the other two clans make any moves.”

Alex pulled out a small crystal resembling a mana stone.

“I’ve given them communication devices. If anything happens while the main force is inside Floor Seven, they can warn us immediately.”

Rey stared at the crystal, stunned. He hadn’t expected Alex to plan this far ahead.

“You’re really something…” Rey muttered. “Seriously, I’m lucky you’re on my team. If not, things would be way harder.”

  Alex smirked proudly.

“Don’t worry, Rey. You just need to keep your promise to me.”

  His eyes gleamed with excitement.

“I can’t wait to see the jealous expressions of those other players. Oh—do you want to hear something interesting?”

  Rey raised his head.

  “What is it?”

“I’ve detected one of our former haters,” Alex said calmly. “He’s currently in the Kingdom of Hyleos.”

  Rey stiffened.

“This information came from the same merchant,” Alex continued. “He said Hyleos has been growing stronger thanks to the arrival of Players from another world.”

Alex pulled out a rolled poster and handed it to Rey.

“He also gave me a picture of one of those players. And I recognize that face very well.”

  Rey slowly unrolled the poster.

  “…Lucas.”

  Alex nodded.

“One of the Top Global RPG Players five years ago.”

  Alex crossed his arms.

“If he finds out we’re on the same team, I’m pretty sure he’ll target the Kingdom of Christope. According to the merchant, Lucas is now a warrior serving under the Hyleos royal family.”

  He narrowed his eyes.

“More precisely, he’s the Captain of the Royal Guard.”

The atmosphere in the room turned heavy.

Alex then added another piece of news.

“The Kingdom of Xylandra is also preparing to enter Floor Six. They’ve been stockpiling resources and training hard for the inter-nation tournament that’ll be held in a few years.”

Rey let out a slow breath.

“Keep gathering all crucial information,” Rey instructed.

  Alex nodded.

  “Understood.”

Soon after, Alex excused himself to rest. Tomorrow would be a crucial day for Clan Origin.

  The night passed swiftly.

By the next morning, all members of Clan Origin had gathered in the front courtyard. Every executive. Every division. Everyone stood ready.

Today was the day they had been waiting for.

Strength. Weakness. Rage. Everything they had endured so far would be unleashed today.

This was their first truly important mission.

Willson stepped forward and raised his voice.

“Today… is the day we’ve been waiting for!”

  His voice echoed powerfully.

“All the sacrifices we’ve made until now—release that anger today! I want all of you fired up!”

  A thunderous chant erupted.

  “Clan Origin!”

  “Clan Origin!”

  “Clan Origin!”

With pride and unity, each division marched out through the Clan Origin gate.

At the front were two grand carriages, carrying the executives—Rey, Melvin, Elysa, and Luna.

Leading the main force were Willson and Alex, commanding over a hundred members.

  Their objective was singular.

  Conquer Floor Seven.

Every step they took drew countless eyes.

As the name Clan Origin echoed through the streets, citizens and adventurers in Beginner City watched their departure in awe.

At the city’s front gate, the guards opened the gates wide.

The royal family stood there. Noble families. Even the Arden Family was present.

Outside the gates, Victor and the elites of the Adventurer Guild and the two rival clans watched with hatred, silently praying for Clan Origin’s destruction.

At the Arden residence, Helberg issued orders without hesitation.

“Assess the remaining strength within Clan Origin.”

The Arden Family saw a golden opportunity.

With all of Clan Origin’s strongest members gone for an extended period, this was the perfect moment to crush them.

After some time, Clan Origin’s forces arrived at the entrance of Floor Seven.

  The portal was activated.

In the blink of an eye, the entire force was transported inside.

Willson, acting as the overall leader, immediately issued commands.

“Divisions One to Five, form the front defense!”

“Divisions Six to Ten, secure the rear!”

The formation tightened as they advanced cautiously into the depths of Floor Seven.

  Suddenly—

  An attack erupted from underground.

A Level 50 Worm Monster and a Level 63 Earth Dragon burst forth.

The front divisions launched a massive assault.

Captain of Division Three, a Warrior, held off the Earth Dragon’s attack head-on.

At the same time, the Captain of Division Four combined magic with the Captain of Division One.

  “Lightning Storm!”

Bolts of lightning rained down like a tempest, dealing massive damage and stunning both monsters.

The divisions followed up relentlessly, finishing them off.

But the noise attracted more threats.

Monsters emerged one after another—Frost Dragons, Earth Dragons, Sabertooths, Minotaurs, and Fire Dragons.

All of them were above Level 65.

The Fire Dragon had even surpassed Level 75.

The front lines were pushed to their limits.

In a flash, Tristan and Eris dashed forward at maximum speed, slaughtering monsters below Level 70.

A powerful blast of fire erupted from the Fire Dragon.

Tristan stood firm, blocking the attack.

Luna immediately cast buffs on both of them.

  Tristan’s strength surged.

  Eris’s speed skyrocketed.

Eris struck the Fire Dragon’s blind spot and pierced its eye.

The moment it screamed, Tristan swung his sword, cleaving its head in two.

Together, with strategy and Luna’s support, they defeated the Level 77 Fire Dragon.

For a brief moment, Eris felt warmth when he looked at Luna.

Her role reminded him of his younger sister, Emily.

  They shared the same personality.

“Emily… I miss you”, Eris thought quietly.

  They continued descending deeper.

  Suddenly—

  A terrifying roar echoed.

Every member below Level 65 nearly collapsed from the pressure.

  Willson shouted loudly.

“All divisions, return to formation! A powerful monster is approaching!”

  The aura grew overwhelming.

Ahead of them, the shadow of a colossal monster appeared.

  It advanced with pure terror.

With every breath it exhaled, the surrounding air distorted violently.

  Willson’s eyes widened in shock.

  Drax spoke grimly.

  “Everyone… prepare for defense.”

Before them stood a Level 79 Tiger Monster.

  Enormous.

  Savage.

Its body alone towered over several men, muscles rippling beneath its thick hide. Each breath it released carried murderous intent, pressing down on the battlefield like invisible weight.

For some members of the divisions below Level 50, their confidence began to waver.

  Fear crept into their eyes.

But Alex stepped forward, his voice firm and steady.

“Everyone, don’t be afraid,” he declared. “We have the numbers. We—the executives—will prioritize your safety.”

  Those words steadied their hearts.

  Then—

A massive claw strike tore through the air.

Several front-line members were sent flying, crashing violently into the ground.

  “Move!” Willson shouted.

  Willson and Drax advanced immediately.

Tristan and Eris moved to execute their strategy.

  Willson activated his skill.

  “Camouflage.”

His presence vanished into the shadows.

Drax and Tristan charged together, swords and shields clashing against the monster’s body, forcing it back step by step.

But soon, reality struck them hard.

The monster’s strength far exceeded their expectations.

  Each swing carried overwhelming force.

Eris clicked his tongue and activated his skills.

  “Poison—Stun.”

He blurred forward, striking precisely at the monster’s joints—legs, arms, neck.

Yet despite the flawless execution, the monster’s HP barely dropped.

  Its vitality was monstrous.

  Then—

  Willson emerged from behind.

His sword glowed as he poured every ounce of strength into a single strike.

With a thunderous slash, he cleaved straight through the monster’s neck.

  The giant body collapsed.

  Silence followed.

They had defeated a Level 79 monster.

  Willson turned, his expression serious.

“Everyone, don’t lose focus,” he warned. “This is only the beginning. The real enemies are still waiting deeper below.”

After the battle, the team collected every item dropped by the monsters.

A full day had passed since their entry into Floor Seven.

They had reached the central area.

Rey and the executives gathered for a strategy meeting.

Alex spread the map once more, pointing at the marked zones.

“The Orc horde is not far from here,” he said. “At our current pace, we’ll reach them in about an hour.”

  Rey nodded.

"Willson, tell the team to stop moving. The team needs a break."

As the order was carried out, Willson call the captain from division one to stop and rest,Tristan turned to Eris.

“Eris… after this, we’ll avenge Emily,” Tristan said firmly. “I swear I’ll kill every useless Orc that stands before me.”

  Eris remained silent.

At the mention of his younger sister’s name, sadness flickered across his face.

Sensing the heavy atmosphere, Alex clapped his hands.

“Hey. Don’t worry,” he said lightly. “All of you will get your chance to wipe out that Orc horde. I’ve already prepared everything needed to defeat them.”

He stood and walked toward Vincent and Evelyn.

“You two,” Alex said. “Are you ready?”

  They nodded immediately.

“The team I trained will be led by the two of you,” Alex continued. “You are the key to our victory against the Orc horde.”

The others were shocked by Alex’s confidence.

  Rey merely chuckled softly.

“Alex… you’re really planning to use that formation, aren’t you?”

  Alex laughed proudly.

“Hahahaha! That’s why you’re my friend—you understand my plans.”

  He nodded.

“Yes. We’ll use that formation. But… we need someone with overwhelming physical strength to hold back the Orc Warlord and Orc Champions. They’re the frontline guardians. If they break through first, it’ll be troublesome.”

  Rey smiled calmly.

“Don’t worry. I’ll handle that myself.”

  He continued,

“Willson, Drax, and Tristan will stay behind me to support me if any Orc slips through. You three agree?”

“Understood,” Tristan replied immediately. “I’ll do my best.”

Willson and Drax nodded, fully trusting Rey’s judgment.

Eris then asked quietly, “Are we destroying the Orc settlement?”

  Alex nodded.

“Yes. But before that… I’ve ordered Divisions Nine and Ten to retrieve every belonging left behind by your fallen comrades from five years ago.”

  He looked at Eris.

  “So don’t worry.”

  Relief washed over Eris’s face.

  Rey then turned to Willson.

“Willson… you’ve seen an Orc Warlord fight before, haven’t you?”

  Willson nodded grimly.

“Yes. Their strength is terrifying. There was one Orc Warlord who reached Level 89.”

  Everyone stiffened.

“At the time, an Orc Warlord at Level 85 fought against the former Guild Master and three S-Class adventurers. They managed to kill it… but all of them died in the battle.”

  Rey clenched his fist.

“So an Orc Warlord’s strength is nearly comparable to a human above Level 90.”

  He spoke aloud,

“If that Orc Warlord has been alive for five more years… then it’s likely reached Level 90 or beyond.”

  Rey’s eyes sharpened.

“If it appears… I’ll face it myself.”

Everyone understood the weight of those words.

Not long after, Rey ordered the entire force to move.

Willson and Alex issued formation commands.

The army advanced toward the destination they had awaited for so long.

  After an hour of travel—

  They saw it.

  A massive horde ahead.

Large structures stood tall, forming what looked like a settlement built by monsters.

The Orcs had created their own village.

  Alex raised his hand.

  “All divisions, prepare yourselves!”

  He stepped forward.

“All mages—stand by for large-scale attacks.”

  Willson gave additional orders.

“Captain Division Three and Five. Scout the enemy numbers.”

“Support roles—prepare buffs for the Warriors.”

The preparations were swift and precise.

Captain Division Three and Five infiltrated the Orc territory using Camouflage.

  They carefully observed every movement.

Captain Division Three gathered crucial information and withdrew to report.

Captain Division Five, however, discovered something else.

  Bones.

  Only skeletons remained.

Equipment untouched, gathered neatly in one place.

It was the throne of the Three Orc Warlord.

  He turned back immediately—but—

One of the Orc Warlord had already sensed his presence.

  Orders were given.

  The Orcs attacked.

Captain Division Five was overwhelmed, chased by multiple Orcs.

  As he neared the exit—

An Orc Champion blocked his path.

  It grinned viciously.

  The battle was unavoidable.

The Orc Champion charged with terrifying speed.

Captain Division Five dodged the slash—but the impact disrupted his balance.

  The Orc Champion struck.

He was slammed into the ground.

  Ribs shattered.

Barely conscious, he raised a crystal and crushed it.

  At the Clan Origin base—

A flash of light erupted from the emblems of Division Five.

  They knew immediately.

  Their captain was in danger.

Captain Division Three sensed the aura.

Hearing the sounds of battle, he rushed forward.

He arrived just in time to see his comrade struggling against the Orc Champion.

He leaped forward and slashed at the Champion’s neck.

But its skin was too tough.

  The wound barely mattered.

  Back at Clan Origin’s position—

  Willson issued the command.

  “All Warriors—attack!”

Support buffs surged through the army.

  Alex shouted,

  “All mages—destroy the smaller structures!”

  Magic erupted.

  Explosions tore through the settlement.

Tristan charged forward, leading the Warriors.

Drax slammed his sword into the ground.

He became the defensive anchor for the rear.

Vincent and Evelyn stood beside him.

Eris activated Camouflage, vanishing into the shadows to rescue the trapped captains.

  Explosion after explosion echoed.

The smaller buildings were reduced to rubble.

  Then—

A thunderous roar came from the grand palace at the center.

  More roars followed.

The Orcs had begun their counterattack.

  They charged toward Clan Origin.

  “Kill them all!” Tristan roared.

  The true war had begun.

  Blades fell.

  Orc Warriors collapsed.

  Suddenly—

Massive magic attacks surged from the Orcs.

  “Orc Shamans!” someone shouted.

  A shield formed.

Luna and Melvin combined their power, stopping the incoming magic.

Elysa had already moved with Eris.

  Rey opened his eyes.

  He stood.

  Stepped out of his carriage.

  And walked toward Alex.

“Alex,” Rey asked calmly, “have you received any information from the scouting teams?”

Alex’s expression darkened as he turned to Rey.

“Rey… we have a slight problem,” he said quickly. “The scouting captains are under heavy pressure. We’re switching plans—our attack has already been launched. Tristan is currently leading the Warrior units against the Orc Warriors. But the Orc Shamans… they’re a major obstacle to the strategy I prepared.”

  Rey remained calm.

“That’s fine,” he replied. “Proceed as planned. As for the Orc Shamans… I’ll order Melvin and Luna to eliminate them.”

Alex nodded in understanding, then hesitated.

“Rey… are you going to step in personally?”

Rey’s gaze sharpened, his voice low and serious.

“Not yet. But I can already feel it… the aura of a powerful monster.”

  He narrowed his eyes.

“There’s a high chance it’s the Orc Warlord. Its level is already at 96—on the verge of evolving into an Orc General.”

  Alex’s eyes widened.

“Level 96? Rey… are you sure you can defeat it?”

Rey’s answer came without hesitation. His eyes burned with cold certainty.

“Even if an Orc General stands before me… I’ll crush its head.”

Alex burst into laughter, filled with relief and excitement.

“Hahahahaha! Now that is my friend.”

  He nodded firmly.

“Alright. I’ll leave the Orc Warlord to you. But remember our plan—after we recover the equipment of the fallen adventurers… I’ll unleash the most devastating attack.”

  Rey understood immediately.

He turned and headed toward Melvin and Luna, issuing his orders.

“Eliminate all Orc Shamans interfering with our Warriors.”

Melvin nodded and raised his staff.

“I’ll need support from the rear-line mages.”

  Before they could move—

A Level 69 Orc Champion charged in from the east, its blade aimed straight at the rear guard.

  Shing—!

  Its arm was severed mid-swing.

Drax stood there, sword dripping with blood, his eyes razor-sharp.

“Hey, ugly monster,” he growled. “You’re fighting me.”

The Orc Champion roared in rage and charged at Drax.

Their clash sent shockwaves rippling through the battlefield.

Alex, overseeing the strategy, noticed another Orc Champion—Level 66—closing in to flank Drax.

  Alex moved instantly.

He intercepted the attack, driving his sword straight into the Orc’s eye.

The Orc howled and struck back, blasting Alex away.

  But in the next instant—

  Alex was already behind it.

  “Berserker.”

  His blade flashed.

  The Orc Champion’s head fell.

The surrounding soldiers froze in disbelief.

That monster’s level was higher than Alex’s—yet he had killed it with terrifying ease.

Alex’s vast experience in RPGs and VRMMOs had taught him countless truths about Orc weaknesses.

  Knowledge was power.

  Suddenly—

A massive explosion shook the battlefield.

  Rey’s eyes widened.

From the northern side, two figures were sent flying.

  Eris.

  Elysa.

They crashed to the ground, bodies battered and broken.

The Captain of Division Three had lost his right arm.

The Captain of Division Five was in even worse condition—his right leg severed, both arms shattered.

  Tristan turned and saw them.

  His face twisted with fury.

He roared in rage upon seeing Eris and the others in such a state.

  From within the rising dust—

  A massive silhouette emerged.

It was holding the severed head of an Orc Champion.

As the dust cleared, the truth was revealed.

  An Orc Warlord—Level 88.

Without hesitation, it lunged toward Elysa, intent on killing her.

  “NO!” Willson shouted.

Willson moved instantly, blocking the strike.

The impact sent both Willson and Elysa crashing into the ground.

  Bones cracked.

Elysa screamed as pain surged through her body—her ribs fractured.

  Willson groaned—his arm broken.

The Orc Warlord raised its massive blade again, ready to finish them.

  Then—

  The world changed.

A terrifying aura erupted across the battlefield.

  It was overwhelming.

  Crushing.

Even the Orc Warriors froze mid-attack—then collapsed unconscious.

The Orc Champions fighting Drax and Alex trembled in terror, instinctively trying to flee.

  But they never escaped.

Drax and Alex cut them down without mercy.

  Slowly, they turned their gazes.

  Toward Rey.

  Alex swallowed.

“This useless bastard…” he muttered. “Did his level already surpass 100? That aura alone knocked every Orc Warrior unconscious.”

  Rey walked forward.

With every step, the ground shattered and cracked beneath his feet.

  The air turned cold.

  Silent.

The Orc Warlord’s blade halted mid-swing, forcibly stopped by Rey’s presence alone.

A voice echoed across the battlefield—deep, commanding, absolute.

  “Hey, stupid Orc…”

“Did you really think there was no one who could cut off your head?”

  Each word carried monstrous pressure.

At the heart of the Orc settlement, inside the grand palace—

Another Orc Warlord, Level 96, rose to its feet.

  It felt Rey’s aura.

Its massive hands clenched tightly around its enormous axe.

  The Orc Warlord smiled.

  It was ready.
