60. The Radiant Challenge

With Sassy's training complete, it was my turn to step into the arena and face the challenges that Mizuno had prepared for me. I could see the mischievous glint in her eye as she set up the simulations, knowing that she was going to push me to my limits.

"Alright, Amy," Mizuno said, a smirk playing on her lips. "I'm not going to tell you what you're up against. Consider this a surprise test of your skills and adaptability."

I grinned, eager for the challenge. "Bring it on, Mizuno. I'm ready for whatever you've got."

The first simulation materialized, and I found myself facing a group of magicians, their robes billowing dramatically as they began to cast spells. I didn't waste any time, charging forward with Dumb Strike, my fist connecting with the first magician and sending him crashing to the ground, stunned.

The remaining magicians responded with a flurry of spells, tendrils of dark magic snaking towards me. I dodged and weaved, using my Idiot's Luck to avoid the most powerful blasts. With a swift combo of Dumb Strike and Confusion Blast, I took down two more magicians, their forms collapsing into piles of smoldering robes.

But the magicians weren't going down without a fight. One of them raised his staff, a beam of pure energy lancing out and striking me in the chest. I grunted in pain, feeling the force of the blast knock the wind out of me. I activated Stupid Shield, creating a barrier of dumbness that absorbed the remaining energy from the beam.

With a final Radiant Blast, I sent waves of radiant idiocy through the remaining magicians, causing them to attack each other and leaving them in smoldering heaps. As the first simulation faded, I panted happily, feeling the exhilaration of battle coursing through my veins.

"Not bad," Mizuno said, a note of approval in her voice. "But let's see how you handle something a little more... robust."

The next simulation materialized, and I came face-to-face with a team of mech-armor users, their suits gleaming ominously as they took up defensive positions around the arena.

I charged, my Dumb Aura emitting waves of confusion that caused the mechs to stutter and veer off course. But the mechs were heavily armored, and my initial attacks did little damage. I switched tactics, using Stupid Surge to overload their systems, causing sparks to fly and smoke to billow from their suits.

One of the mechs raised its arm, a shield of pure energy springing to life and deflecting my attacks. I growled in frustration, but didn't let it deter me. I summoned Army of the Dumb, creating an army of dumb creatures to flank the mechs and attack from all sides.

With my minions keeping the mechs occupied, I focused on taking down their leader. I used Dumb Magnetism to pull the mech towards me, closing the distance and delivering a powerful Mind Wilt, causing the mech's systems to overheat and shut down.

With the lead mech disabled, the others fell into disarray, their formations crumbling as they tried to coordinate their attacks. I took advantage of the chaos, using a combo of Dumb Strike and Confusion Blast to take them down one by one, until only their leader remained standing.

For the final blow, I channelled Infinite Stupidity, infusing my fist with an endless well of dumbness. My punch connected with the mech's chest plate, the force of the blow sending it crashing to the ground in a sparking heap of twisted metal.

As the mech-armor users fell, Mizuno brought up the next simulation. This time, I was facing a team of speedsters, their forms blurring as they darted around the arena with inhuman quickness.

I knew I couldn't match their speed, so I had to be dumber. I used Dumb Magnetism to create a gravitational well, slowing the speedsters' movements and giving me an opening to strike. With Radiant Blast, I sent waves of radiant idiocy through the speedsters, causing them to crash into each other and providing me with the opportunity to take them down with Dumb Strike.

The speedsters were fast, but they weren't invincible. I took them down one by one, my tactics adapting to their frantic movements until none were left standing.

Mizuno didn't waste any time bringing up the next challenge. This time, I was facing a team of genetic manipulators, their bodies twisted and contorted by plant-like growths that gave them incredible strength and durability.

I charged, my Dumb Aura causing the manipulators to pause and shake their heads in confusion. But they recovered quickly, their plant-based attacks lashing out at me with surprising speed and precision.

One of the manipulators raised its arms, vines erupting from the ground and ensnaring me in a tight embrace. I struggled, my muscles straining against the vegetative bonds, but it was no use. The manipulator began to squeeze, the pressure crushing and unbearable.

I activated Stupid Shield, creating a barrier of dumbness that caused the vines to wither and turn brown as they lost their vitality. Free from my bonds, I counterattacked, using Dumb Strike and Confusion Blast to take down the manipulator and its allies.

As the genetic manipulators fell, Mizuno brought up the next simulation. Cyberpunks with machine enhancements stared at me with glowing eyes, their bodies a mix of flesh and metal as they moved with precision and purpose.

I knew I had to be careful with these opponents, their technological enhancements making them unpredictable and dangerous. I used Dumb Magnetism to disrupt their movements, creating openings for me to strike with Dumb Strike and Confusion Blast.

The cyberpunks were formidable, their attacks coming fast and furious, but I held my own, my tactics adapting to their style of combat. With a final Radiant Blast, I sent waves of radiant idiocy through the remaining cyberpunks, causing them to turn on each other and providing me with the opportunity to take them down with precise strikes.

Mizuno must have been impressed, because she didn't waste any time bringing up the final simulation. This time, I was facing a reality manipulator, his robes flowing as he raised his staff, turning reality into a maze of mirrors with magical traps.

I stepped forward, and the world shifted around me. I was no longer in the arena, but in a disorienting labyrinth of glass, my reflections staring back at me from every angle. I could feel the magical traps pulsating with energy, ready to spring at any moment.

I took a deep breath, centering myself as I tried to make sense of this new environment. The reality manipulator appeared before me, his staff glowing with an otherworldly light.

"You are but a pawn in my game," he said, his voice echoing through the maze. "Prepare to be broken."

I grinned, unfazed by his words. "Bring it on, pretty boy. Let's see what you've got."

I charged, my Dumb Aura causing the manipulator to pause and shake his head in confusion. But he recovered quickly, his staff lashing out with bolts of pure energy that left shards of glass raining down around me.

I dodged and weaved, using my Idiot's Luck to avoid the most powerful blasts. With a swift combo of Dumb Strike and Confusion Blast, I tried to take him down, but the manipulator was always one step ahead, his reality-warping abilities making it hard for me to land a solid hit.

I switched tactics, using Stupid Surge to channel a surge of dumbness, causing the maze to shift and change around us. The mirrors began to crack and shatter, the magical traps losing their potency as reality itself became unstable.

Seizing my opportunity, I dashed forward, my powerful legs propelling me through the crumbling maze. I used Dumb Magnetism to pull the manipulator towards me, closing the distance and delivering a powerful Mind Wilt, causing his staff to shatter and his robes to turn to dust.

With a final Blinding Radiance, I sent a blast of pure stupidity through the reality manipulator, causing him to age rapidly until he turned to nothing but dust, his magical abilities no match for the power of dumbness.

As the simulation faded, Mizuno turned to me, a proud smile on her face. "That was amazing. You took down everything I could think of throwing at you."

As she spoke, I felt the power of dumbness coursing through my veins. I had earned enough experience to reach the next level.

Dumb Nova sounded incredible. I grinned, feeling the new power coursing through my veins. I was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead, my skills and tactics honed to a razor's edge.

"That was amazing," I said, turning to Mizuno. "Ready for your turn?"

Mizuno grinned. "I made the sim, remember? This'll be a breeze."

I winked at her. "Don't underestimate the power of dumbness, smart girl."
