38. The Secret Council of the USA

In the heart of the USA, a secret meeting was underway. The elite of the United Smart Asses had gathered in a dimly lit chamber, the air thick with tension and the scent of old money. The members present were some of the most influential figures in USA society, their roles and titles a testament to their power and reach.

  Secret Council Members:

Malcom Miserable, his voice like nails on a chalkboard, opened the meeting. "Gentlemen and ladies, we find ourselves at a crossroads. The events in Pashtunistan have brought to light a system that threatens everything we have worked so hard to achieve."

Beatrice Brutal leaned forward, her eyes shining with malice. "Yes, the new education reform in Pashtunistan poses a significant threat to our ability to brainwash the world. If left unchecked, it could undermine our control over the populace and crush our dreams of a dumbed-down global citizenry."

Victor Vain nodded, his expression one of sheer delight at the misery of others. "It is a delightful irony that the very people we seek to control are now challenging our system. The dumb and the intelligent alike are finding common ground in their opposition to our methods."

Charlotte Cunning chimed in, her voice as smooth as silk. "We must not underestimate the power of this new system. It encourages individuality and personal growth, two things that are antithetical to our goals. We need to act quickly to suppress this uprising before it gains more traction."

Edward Elite stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Indeed, the intelligence community has reported increased unrest in various regions, all stemming from the influence of Pashtunistan's new education reforms. We must nip this in the bud."

Frederick Fraud, ever the voice of reason when it came to maintaining their stranglehold on power, added, "Our network of secret influences and puppet educators are crucial in maintaining control. We must ensure that they remain loyal and continue to indoctrinate the youth according to our dictates."

As they continued to plot and scheme, I burst into the chamber, my expression one of utter confusion and dumbness. "Huh? What's going on here?" I asked, scratching my head. "Why are you all looking so serious?"

Malcom Miserable raised an eyebrow, amused by my intrusion. "And who might you be, dear?" he asked, feigning interest.

I tilted my head, my eyes squinting as I tried to process the question. "Umm, I'm Amy," I said slowly, as if trying to remember my own name. "I was just walking by and heard lots of talking. Sounded important, so I thought I'd check it out." I grinned widely, my eyes sparkling with mischief. "You guys sure know how to make a girl welcome!"

Beatrice Brutal suppressed a smile, finding my dumb demeanor endearing in a twisted way. "Well, Amy, we are having a very important meeting. Perhaps you should come in and join us."

I nodded enthusiastically, my grin never wavering. "Okay! But first, I have a question." I paused, my expression turning thoughtful. "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?"

The council members exchanged amused glances, their sinister smiles never wavering. "I'm not sure that's relevant to our discussion," Charlotte Cunning said, trying to hide her amusement.

I shrugged, undeterred. "Duh, maybe not. But it's an important question! I mean, think about it. If we can figure out the number of licks, maybe we can apply that knowledge to other things, right? Like, how many steps it takes to walk to the moon or something."

Edward Elite chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "You are a peculiar one, aren't you?"

I beamed at him, taking the comment as a compliment. "Thanks! I try my best to be unique. So, what do you guys think? About the Tootsie Pop, I mean."

Victor Vain leaned back in his chair, a cruel smile playing on his lips. "I think you are wasting our time with your silly questions. We have more pressing matters to discuss."

I pouted but didn't press the issue. "Okay, okay. I'll save my deep thoughts for another time. So, what are you guys talking about? Something about Pashtunistan and education, right?"

Frederick Fraud nodded, his expression turning serious once more. "Indeed, we were discussing the threat that Pashtunistan's new education system poses to our own. It encourages individual thought and personal growth, which is not conducive to our goals of creating a compliant global citizenry."

I tilted my head, my brow furrowing in confusion. "But why is that a bad thing? I mean, wouldn't it be cool if everyone could think for themselves and stuff? Like, what's wrong with being smart and dumb at the same time?"

Malcom Miserable leaned forward, his eyes narrowing as he studied me. "You are a curious one. Tell me, why are you here? Surely you didn't just stumble upon our secret meeting by accident."

I blinked, my expression turning confused. "Umm, well, I already told you. I heard talking and wanted to see what was up. Plus, I was wondering if you guys had any snacks. I'm kind of hungry."

The council members shared a look, finding my dumb demeanor both annoying and entertaining. As they tried to press me further, I could see their eyes starting to glaze over just a little bit. My Dumb Aura must have been affecting them. It was kinda cool to watch these serious people start to look all slack-jawed and confused.

Before they could say more, Mizuno swept into the room, her holographic displays flickering to life around her, casting an otherworldly glow over the chamber. "The true purposes of your gathering are already quite clear to us," she said, her voice steady and confident. "I have downloaded the data of this evil organization and traced your money flows and network of secret influences."

The council members gasped, their expressions turning from amusement to alarm. "How dare you invade our private meeting?" Charlotte Cunning hissed. "Guards! Seize them!"

With a wave of her hand, Mizuno brought up a holographic map of the room, highlighting the locations of the hidden guards. "They won't be much help," she said coolly. "I've already neutralized their communications and disabled their weapons."

As if on cue, the guards spilled into the room, their expressions confused as they tried to comprehend what was happening. I grinned, rubbing my hands together in anticipation. "Alright, let's get this party started!"

Misty neighed softly, her hooves stomping impatiently as she prepared to charge. Sassy wagged her tail, her eyes shining with excitement and readiness. The guards, taken aback by the sudden appearance of these formidable opponents, hesitated for a moment before charging forward.

Misty's Earth Tremor sent shockwaves through the floor, toppling several guards and creating chaos in their ranks. Sassy's Whirlwind Kick spun her rapidly, kicking out with powerful legs that sent guards flying through the air like ragdolls. I, playing dumb but fighting smart, dodged and weaved through the melee, landing solid punches and kicks on any guard unfortunate enough to get too close.

"Wow, this is kind of fun!" I exclaimed between swings. "It's like a big game of tag, but with more hitting and less running away."

Mizuno's Drone Swarm harried the guards from all angles, their coordinated attacks tearing through the enemy lines like a hot knife through butter. The air was filled with the whirring and clicking of gears as Mizuno's inventions adapted to the guards' countermeasures, ensuring that we remained one step ahead at all times.

The epic battle raged on, the clashing of steel and the shouts of combatants echoing through the chamber. The council members watched in horror as their guards were systematically defeated, their carefully laid plans unraveling before their eyes.

As the last of the guards fell, I turned to the council members, a cheeky grin spreading across my face. "So, what's the plan now, huh? You guys look a little bit... how do you say? Desperate?"

Mizuno stepped forward, her holographic displays showcasing the extensive network of corruption and influence that the United Smart Asses had woven throughout society. "Your days of pulling the strings from the shadows are over," she said, her voice filled with triumph. "We have exposed your true nature and will bring you to justice for the misery you have inflicted on countless individuals."

With a wave of her hand, Mizuno summoned holographic restraints that bound the council members, rendering them unable to escape or call for help. The once-powerful figures now looked pathetic and defeated, their sinister smiles replaced with expressions of sheer terror.

"You can't do this!" Malcom Miserable shouted, his voice trembling with rage. "We are the United Smart Asses! We control the very fabric of this society!"

I shrugged, my expression one of utter innocence. "Well, I guess you're just going to have to get used to the idea of not being in control for once. It's kind of liberating, isn't it?"

Beatrice Brutal sneered at me, her eyes narrowing. "You may have won this battle, but the war is far from over. The United Smart Asses will rise again, and when we do, we will crush you and your dumb companions beneath our heel."

I tilted my head, a thoughtful expression on my face. "You know, that's a really deep question. I mean, what does it mean to 'rise again'? Like, are you gonna come back from the dead or something? And if you do, will you still be you, or will you be like a zombie you? Hmm..."

The council members exchanged exasperated looks, realizing that I was intentionally playing dumb to taunt them. Before they could respond, I continued, my voice taking on a philosophical tone. I could see the council members' minds gradually wilt under the weight of my dumbness, their expressions turning slack and confused as my Dumb Aura took further effect. It was strangely satisfying to watch these powerful people lose their composure.

"I guess the real question is, what is the nature of existence? I mean, are we just puppets in some grand cosmic game, or do we have free will to make our own choices? And if we do, then why are you guys so obsessed with controlling everything? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of being alive?"

Victor Vain rolled his eyes, clearly exasperated by my ramblings. "Enough of your philosophical musings! You may have bested us this time, but our influence runs deep. You cannot hope to erase us completely."

I grinned, my eyes sparkling with mischief. "Maybe not. But we can sure give it a try! And who knows? Maybe in the process, we'll learn something new about ourselves and the world around us. Like, how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop."

As the council members were led away in disgrace, the chamber fell silent, the only sound the faint hum of Mizuno's holographic displays.

And so, the secret council of the United Smart Asses was brought to its knees, their evil plans laid bare for all to see. The children of the world could now look forward to a future free from the shackles of pseudo-education, a future where individuality and personal growth were valued above all else.
