6. The Professors Pretense

Professor Enoch circled me like a shark, his eyes gleaming with intelligence and arrogance. "You may have bested me once, Amy, but I have prepared for our next encounter. I underestimated the extent of your dumbness and its power."

I shrugged, feigning nonchalance. "Yeah? Well, I got this cool book now, and I'm kinda invincible. So bring it on, brainiac."

The professor sneered and began to lecture, his voice dripping with condescension. "You see, Amy, the universe is a complex web of interconnecting forces and dimensions. Your dumbness is but a small part of that web, and one that I can easily manipulate."

I blinked up at him, trying to look confused. "Um... what? You lost me at 'complex web.'"

The professor rolled his eyes but pressed on, "Very well, let me simplify it for you. Your dumbness is like a candle flame in a storm. It may seem powerful, but a single gust of wind—a mere hint of intelligence—can extinguish it."

I scratched my head, pretending to think real hard. "So... you're saying I'm a candle? And you're the wind?"

The professor's expression darkened as he realized I was mocking him. "Enough of this! Let me show you the true power of intelligence!"

He pulled out a small vial filled with shimmering liquid and drank it in one gulp. Suddenly, his eyes began to glow, and his body hummed with energy.

"Smartness Potion," he explained, flexing his fingers. "It amplifies my intellectual abilities and allows me to tap into the very fabric of reality."

I grinned, feeling a surge of excitement. This was going to be fun. "Yeah? Well, check this out!"

I charged at him, my Dumb Aura flaring to life. The professor tried to dodge, but I was too fast. I landed a solid Dumb Strike on his arm, and he stumbled back, shock and confusion written all over his face.

"I don't understand," he muttered, shaking his head. "Your power... it's unlike anything I've ever encountered."

I danced out of reach as he lunged at me, my Idiot's Luck kicking in and allowing me to dodge his counterattack with ease. "Yeah, well, neither do I! But it's kinda awesome, right?"

The professor growled in frustration and reached into his pocket, pulling out another vial. He downed it quickly, and his eyes glowed even brighter than before.

"This time," he said, his voice echoing strangely, "I will not be defeated so easily."

He began to rattle off complex equations and philosophical theories, trying to overwhelm me with his intelligence. But I just grinned and shook my head, my Dumb Magnetism pulling him towards me despite his efforts to resist.

"Nope, nope, nope," I said, interrupting his lecture. "You're talking too much smarts for me to understand! It's all Greek to me!"

The professor's expression darkened, and he lunged at me again, his fists glowing with intellectual energy. But I was ready for him this time. I met his attack with a Stupid Surge, my Strength and Dexterity spiking as I overwhelmed him with my dumbness.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

He stumbled back, his breath coming in ragged gasps. "You... you're impossible," he muttered. "No one should be that dumb."

I grinned, feeling invincible. "Yeah? Well, get used to it, brainiac! 'Cause I'm just getting started!"

The professor reached into his pocket and pulled out yet another vial, but this time, he hesitated before drinking it. His eyes met mine, and I could see the fear and uncertainty in their depths.

"This is my last potion," he said quietly. "If this doesn't work, I don't know what will."

I shrugged, trying to hide my growing concern. If he kept powering up, this battle could go on forever. But then an idea struck me—a dumb, crazy, brilliant idea.

"You know what?" I said, a mischievous grin spreading across my face. "I got an idea. How about we make a deal? If you can answer one of my questions, I'll let you win. But if you can't, you gotta admit that being dumb is way more powerful than being smart."

The professor raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite himself. "Very well, Amy. What is your question?"

I took a deep breath and asked, "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?"

The professor blinked, clearly not expecting that. He opened his mouth to respond, but then hesitated, his brow furrowing in concentration. "I... I don't know," he admitted, dumbfounded, his voice barely above a whisper.

I grinned triumphantly and landed one final Dumb Strike right on his forehead. His eyes crossed, and his body began to wilt as my dumbness overpowered his intelligence.

"Y-you may have won this battle, Amy," he stammered, his voice slurring. "B-but mark my words—I will return, and next time, I will be prepared for your... your ridiculous level of dumbness."

With that, he collapsed to the ground, defeated. I stood over him, breathing heavily but triumphant. I'd done it—I'd beaten the smartest guy in this crazy world with nothing but my dumbness.

"Congratulations, Amy," the voice said. "You have defeated Professor Enoch and proven the power of your dumbness! Experience points gained."

  Skills:

I allocated my stat points to Strength and Dexterity, feeling myself grow even more powerful. I was untouchable! With Professor Enoch defeated and the Lost Tome of Stupidity in my possession, there was nothing that could stop me from taking over this world and making it as dumb as I was!

As I stood there, basking in my victory, a sudden gust of wind blew through the chamber, and a familiar voice echoed in my mind. "Amy, your journey is far from over. There are still many challenges ahead, and many more levels to gain. But for now, enjoy your well-deserved rest."
