As I accepted the boon from this god, good to know they are real, time stays halted for a few seconds more. Before things slowly begin to speed up, and this moment in time begins to finally pass. My anger begins boiling up again as whatever calming effect was used on me fades and I get to renew my bile at the deal show before me. But then a small part of me, small but loud, rings out and I can get a sense of the deal to it’s fullest, or maybe just enough of it to sway my anger enough to continue this conversation. The energy I was commanding suddenly pulsed away from the elemental and the guild members before me. The tension that was building up in all of them had almost reached a fevered pitch as everything began to calm. They where still on guard and I couldn’t blame them on that all things considered, but now I had my wits properly about me.
The elemental was looking stronger then before but not to the point that even my full store of [Aether] could get him to the level of the Guild Master. But I can’t undo the change that has fully gone through him so it was now just what he was. I could feel there was something he would need to do later but right now it was on pause do to the ‘invaders’ present in the dungeon. As the elemental shifts a bit and refocuses from the increased enegery to the Guild Master and the party behind him the energy has drastically changed. There is still some lighthearted energy but the way the Guild Master now stands is definitely more prepared for a fight.

“Right well I can see the wording could have been better there, glad you seem back under control though.” He doesn’t loosen his grip on the weapon I can just see peaking out of his belt line. “what I meant was that we are going to send people to challenge you, low ranked most likely, that way they can get experience and you can get the extra energy to advance as a dungeon.”
The small part of myself in the back of my head pulses with that clarification, and I get the feeling from it that he is telling the truth. Turning my attention away for a second I pull up the system and look at it. If what he is saying is true, and that part of me says it is, then maybe having adventurers work through me will get me more levels. The rephrasing of things also got my instincts to back off from murderous to violently intrigued aswell so that is certainly something.
If this deal is as good as he says it is for me, which I am less certain of then the truth of his statements, then it would be a very good way to get strong enough to protect myself better. I really only had one thing I wanted to confirm so I had to think of a way to communicate my want out of this. I had the elemental shift some of the dirt under himself before moving away to ask a one word question.
“Safety?”
The Guild Master looked at it and nodded. Then I had the elemental nod for me to seal the deal, and I could feel that small part that helped me with the deal grow a hair bigger.
