The beast was taller than Sedric's own and had a remarkable speed to its movement, reminding him of Joshua when he and Sedric first battled. But the beast was more fast than Joshua was at that time, and Sedric felt a joy when he battled this thing as it made him awaken that bad memory of losing and gave him the chance to reclaim it.
?After letting go of his weapon from his hand and changing to fighting with only his hands, the way Sedric battled had now completely changed to that of a wild beast. And facing his unconventional way of battling and the rash and violent way, the tall beast did not manage to stand on edge for long.
?One slip of its movement gave Sedric his chance, and his hand ripped through the body of the beast, spilling out its intestines and inner organs.
?Sedric felt a rush of excitement, but it fell when he saw something that belonged to his horse. The spilling out of bloody reddish color was like an enchantment to Sedric; he felt his own blood rush through his veins like the blood that flowed freely in the air from the beast. And the violent and destructive force that was slowly working within him intensified as a result.
?But it was at this moment something else among the remains of the dead beast caught Sedric's eyes.
?It was a saddle—one with golden patterns and carvings of a horse. Upon seeing it, all the rush and excitement that was working within Sedric came to a cease as an intense panic and a dread overwhelmed him.
?"This... this belongs to my horse. Why is it on this beast?"
?Sedric questioned, and as the rushing blood and that excited feeling he felt all this time through the battle slowly faded, his vision became somewhat clear to him and the things he saw felt more real and understandable to him.
And looking at the beast he just killed, Sedric fell silent as he realized this creature, although now changed, still greatly resembled his horse, which he had taken care of for years.
?To Sedric, his horse was something much more important. It became even more so when his own nickname was tied to him being with a horse. And now, seeing his own beloved horse lying dead on the ground by his own hand, the shock he received was inexplicable.
?He lifted his head and looked around, seeing all his other soldiers battling these same kind of beasts with the same kind of expression; now he realized why they were truly struggling to kill off these beasts.
?"What is this insanity happening in here?"
?As Sedric questioned, a sudden light appeared before him. It wasn't something that appeared new; instead, it was a thing that was ignored by Sedric all this time because of his intense feelings, and only now became noticeable as his emotions changed.

?"What's this? What nonsense is written in this thing? It's telling me to go and find a thing called a safe zone now. What a load of nonsense! If I'm going anywhere from here, that would be to my homeland, the Ottoman Empire land!"
?Sedric ignored the light panels, as the fact that it told him to do something somewhat made his demeanor turn for the worse. Turning to his soldiers, his voice rang.
"My men, we are the brave soldiers of the Ottoman Empire! No matter what, nothing will stop us from returning to our home. Let us proceed forward and let's stamp on everything that stands in our way!"
?Not all the soldiers heard his words, but those that heard him obeyed their captain's words. Despite already facing difficulty facing the enemies in front, they tightened the grip on their blades and weapons and struck once again at the enemy.
?With encouraged will, soldiers killed their own horses, which had now turned into beasts. But just after killing one beast with great effort, they were faced with another beast of another kind.
?While all the soldiers struggled in the field, only a few people stood firmly and managed to fend off the beasts that came their way. And Melavan was one of them.
?His newfound ability to sense his surroundings and to see something like a weakness in the enemy's body worked in his favor greatly; although there appeared to be a time period where his new ability did not work after working once, Melavan gradually learned of that timing as he battled on.
?But despite the advantage, even he faced a struggle with incoming hordes of enemies. At one point, a giant tree literally flew up from the ground and landed in the middle of the battlefield, and the cause of that incident was a creature that stood up from the forest that was larger than three trees on top of each other.
?After killing another beast, Melavan was momentarily freed and stood on the ground while looking at the surroundings. What he saw was the forest now turning into a literal battlefield. And these enemies he and his fellow soldiers fought continued to flood out from the forest and even started to surround them. The enemies in some way resembled the creatures Melavan knew from the wild, like bees or deer or lions and other creatures; but these ones had only a slight resemblance to those creatures, as now they had undergone some great changes within their physical appearance. And with those physical appearances, some changes appeared to happen within their own abilities.
?Things like incredible fast speed, or spitting fire and poison, and slicing trees like cutting through butter can be seen everywhere on the battlefield from these changed beasts.
?Melavan was now sure that he no longer lived in the ordinary world anymore. And it's because of this that he was more sure to believe in whatever the light panels appearing before his eyes told him to do.
