Drake appeared behind Tristy midair and punched. Tristy, already weakened from being slammed across the arena repeatedly, literally could not even raise her arms. She fell over twenty feet and hit the sand hard causing the sand to fly up everywhere.
Drake flipped his hair back and reappeared in the center of the arena. The fight hadn’t even been close. Tristy had been utterly devastated.
“Nya! That was pathetic! Tristy is Tama’s apprentice! How could Tristy!” I called down. I jumped into the air as the medics rushed in. Blinking down, I appeared next to Tristy. “Tama is so ashamed!” I snapped angrily.
Tears entered Tristy’s eyes for only a few seconds before she passed out from the pain. “Well Tama, looks like you owe me fifty gold!” I turned and glared at Drake who smiled charmingly at me.
I pulled out Serenity. “Tama wants Drake to come say that to her face!” Drake grinned widely and pulled his rapier out.
“I am more than happy to show the Third Person Tempest why I am the best!” He winked and vanished.
The moment he vanished I created a spherical burst of forceful water directly behind me. I twirled and sliced to my right just as he appeared and met his sword. He immediately went to teleport.
I interrupted by kicking him in the stomach and sending him back. He still vanished midair.
I smiled and waited exactly half a second. Then I stepped to the right extremely fast and fired a water chain where I had just been standing. The chain latched on to Drake’s sword and I pulled hard.
He managed to keep hold of it, but was pulled towards me. I used that momentum to punch him hard in the face before blinking directly up while holding the chain and his sword.
He let go of his sword and vanished again. Right as his sword reached me, he appeared and grabbed it while kicking me in the stomach.
I managed to react in time and block, but he still got a clean hit and I was sent into the sand hard. Sand burst up around me leaving a small crater. I instantly blinked forward and fired an aqua dagger where I just was.
I heard it meet flesh and smirked before blinking a few inches to the left and slicing down. He blocked my slice with his sword and attempted to kick me, but I blinked into the air, then behind him before twirling and throwing three daggers.
The one aimed at his center mass was dodged, the one on the left went wide. He blocked the one on the right. I blinked directly in front of him as he blocked and headbutted him. He stumbled back and I flipped into the air before blinking above him and throwing another aqua dagger.
He vanished and I twisted to block. But he appeared on the opposite side and I yelped in pain as his sword cut into my side. I twirled around the hit and swung Serenity down. But he vanished before I could hit, then reappeared behind me. I blinked up, causing him to miss his kick.
I then blinked back down and went for a bunch, but he shifted to the side and grabbed me by the waist. He spun with me and I froze as his hands landed on my ass. He tilted us and I panic blinked out of his grasp.

My eye twitched and I glared at him. He smirked and winked at me in return. “What Third Person Tempest! You aren’t getting all bothered by a little foreplay are you!”
“Nya!” I screamed and blinked at him. He disappeared and reappeared next to me. I smirked as I suddenly stopped moving entirely. His blade swung directly in front of where I was going. I turned to him and looked at him the way Saki looked at boys.
His face turned slightly red and he slashed at me again. I sidestepped and punched him in the stomach. “Tama thinks Drake is the one getting distracted!” I said gleefully. He glared at me and disappeared.
I blinked into the air and twirled as I summoned my water veil. He sliced from the side. But his sword was slowed by the veil for just a moment. Just long enough for me to react. I used a water dress to turn into chains and wrap around him.
As I did, I pushed the water chain energy, my energy, into his body forcing his core to shut down temporarily. It was only for a few seconds at most. But that was all I needed. “Tama, that’s not…” Before he could finish, I kicked him hard in the stomach and sent him flying down into the arena tied up.
He managed to free himself of his core lockdown before he hit the sand and blinked out of my chains. They returned to me and were forming around me when he appeared and froze mid slash.
I dodged easily, confused for a moment. Then an idea hit me and I giggled. Instead of fighting back, I blinked down to the center of the arena and stood there. He appeared in front of me looking annoyed. “Did you just give up or something?” He snapped at me.
My smile widened. “Drake, Tama wants to make a bet.” Drake grinned.
“What, want to get your ass beat and pay me for the pleasure? Can’t argue with that!” His response was exactly what I expected.
“Tama thinks you are overconfident.” I said cheekily as I took a single step forward and my dress flowed around me becoming slightly less visible. “Tama bets that if she wins, Drake has to take her on a date. Saki says that is what boyfriends do after all.”
Drake froze and for a moment I thought he might not respond. Then he smiled. “Very well, if you win I will take you on a date. For our date, I will take you to my favorite gear shop and we can discuss weaponry and tactics in combat!”
I nodded eagerly, excitement filling me at the idea. “But!” He said as he leaned in. “If I win, you have to train with me four times this week instead of three!”
“Nya! Deal!” I said as I blinked forward. He tried to vanish but I pushed my hands on his chest and locked his core down again. I then pinched the nerve on his neck, and he passed out. I caught him with a smirk. “Tama wins.”
With that, I dropped him on the sand and went to check on Tristy. They had her in the back room of the arena. I blinked up next to her and leaned in. She was badly hurt, but she would live.
Sensei had always said to save healing for when it was needed. That pain was a teacher all its own. I loved my Sensei, he was the greatest Ninja to ever live and the best person ever.
But he wasn’t me. I gently put my hands on Tristy’s heart and began to flood her with healing water. “Tama is sorry Sensei, but she needs to heal her family.” I said quietly as Tristy’s wounds closed and slowly opened her no longer black eyes.
I removed Tristy’s messed up clothes and used my water to replace them with a pretty dress. She looked down at the dress in confusion. “Mistress Tama I…” I gently put my hand to her lips.
“Nya! Tama is ashamed Tristy lost.” I said sternly and she withered. Then I added. “But Tama forgives, Tristy will now train with Drake and Tama more. Tama has been a bad Sensei ignoring her pupil. Tama will be better. Tristy will stay with Tama from now on.”
Tristy’s eyes filled with tears and she smiled. “Thank you Mistress Tama! I wish only to be worthy of your greatness!”
Tears filled my eyes and I shook my head. “Nya, Tristy will never be as good as Tama.” Tristy’s smile faded, and I continued. “Tristy will be better than Tama. One day, she might even be as great as Tama’s own Sensei!”
Tristy shook her head. “I would never compare myself to my Mistress! You are everything to me!” I pulled her into a hug and gently brushed her hair with my hand.
“One day, Tristy will be better than Tama. Tama will make sure of it.” I whispered quietly. I took a step back and grabbed her hand. “Nya! We need to go to the castle and get Tristy a new dress!”
Tristy wiped her tears away even as more filled her eyes. She nodded and I walked out of the arena with her.
