Episode 25 – The Planet of Hunger
The training room echoed with the sound of impact.
Leon’s energy claws clashed against Lara’s glowing constructs again and again. Spears of golden light formed in her hands while shields materialized around her body. Sparks burst across the metallic floor each time their powers collided.
Both were exhausted. Sweat ran down their faces, their breathing heavy, but neither stopped.
Leon stepped back, inhaling slowly.
“If you really want to defeat Lee,” he said, steady but gentle, “you can’t fight with power alone. You have to fight with your heart.”
Lara wiped her forehead and gave a faint smile.
“You say that as if you’re not carrying half the universe on your shoulders.”
For a brief moment, they both smiled.
Then the door opened violently.
An officer rushed in.
“Leon, Lara… we have an urgent mission. The Council approved it.”
He hesitated.
“The destination… is the Planet of Hunger.”
The room fell silent.
Their ship descended through a pale, dust-filled sky.
From above, the planet looked lifeless. Endless cracked deserts stretched beyond the horizon. Rivers had long dried into empty scars across the land. Ruined cities stood like skeletons buried in sand.
Starving people wandered between broken structures. Their clothes were torn. Their eyes carried no hope.

This world once had another name.
But suffering had renamed it forever.
The Planet of Hunger.
Leon and Lara stepped onto the surface as the wind lifted clouds of dust around their feet.
Children watched them from a distance — frightened, curious, and weak.
Leon slowly approached a small group of starving villagers. They stepped back cautiously.
He knelt beside a frail child and removed a piece of bread from his pack.
He placed it gently in the child’s hands.
“I know it feels like the Creator has forgotten you,” Leon said softly. “But He never abandons His children.”
An old woman stared at him with tired disbelief.
“We have heard promises before,” she said. “Where was this God when our world fell apart?”
Leon stood and breathed deeply.
“He was here,” he answered calmly. “Waiting for you not to give up. He sent me to remind you that you are not alone.”
The people watched him in silence.
Some began to cry.
Lara opened her bag and revealed a handful of small golden seeds.
“The first step isn’t only survival,” she said, inspired by his words. “It’s believing again. Plant them together. Let every seed be the beginning of unity.”
They planted the seeds into the dry ground.
Nothing happened.
Disappointment spread across their faces.
Leon knelt and placed his hand on the soil. His brown eyes glowed faintly with earth energy.
“You have taken the first step,” he said quietly. “Now let the Creator answer.”
The ground trembled.
Cracks slowly closed. Green shoots emerged from the soil. Small leaves pushed through the sand, spreading life where only death had existed.
Gasps turned into cries of joy.
The people suddenly fell to their knees around him.
“A god… he is a god!”
Leon immediately raised his hands.
“No!” he shouted. “I am not a god! There is only one Creator — and He is the one you must look to!”
The crowd froze.
Tears filled his eyes.
“I am only a messenger. The Creator wants you to be united again. Care for one another. Seek Him. He is the source of life… I only obey His call.”
The words struck deeper than the miracle.
Families embraced.
Children laughed for the first time in years. The people began planting together, helping one another. A soft chant of gratitude rose among them.
In the middle of famine… hope had bloomed.
Lara watched Leon quietly.
He resolves everything without violence, she thought. Only faith and hope… maybe that’s what the universe truly needs.
The sun began to set, casting golden light across the land now touched by green.
Lara stood beside him.
Leon watched the people rebuilding their lives.
“The Creator never gave up on you,” he said softly. “Now… don’t give up on Him.”
The camera of the heavens would have seen it:
A dying planet beginning to live again.
Darkness faded into stars.
And hope remained.
