Chami's door slowly opened, and Kurovika walked in, her expression a mixture of concern and relief. "Hey, how are you feeling?" she asked gently, standing next to Chami on the bed.
Chami looked at Kurovika, her eyes weary yet relieved. "I'm...okay. It's strange, being back in my own body. I still can't believe all that happened. How long was I unconscious for?”
Kurovika sighed. "You've been out since we got your soul back. We were worried about you, but everything seems okay now. How much do you remember about what happened?”
Chami fidgeted with the bedsheets, her gaze dropping. "I remember...bits and pieces. I know Sylvie possessed me, and we fought. I remember the feeling of being trapped inside my own body, unable to control my actions. It was like watching myself on a movie screen, powerless to stop the horrors I was causing.”
Kurovika shook her head. "You weren't responsible for anything that happened while you were being possessed. None of us blame you for any of it. It was all Sylvie's doing, not yours.”
Chami took a deep breath, still shaken by the experience. "I know. But it's hard to shake off the guilt. I feel like I let everyone down, even though it wasn't my fault.”
Kurovika shook her head. "You didn't let anyone down. You were a victim, not responsible for the situation. We're all just glad you're alright and back to yourself again. Care to come meet the others with me? They're dying to see you.”
Chami took a deep breath and nodded, her voice slightly shaky. "Yeah, I think I'm ready. I need to see them. I need to thank them for saving me.”
Kurovika flashed a slight smile. "Alright, let's go. Everyone's gathered in the common room."
Chami stood up, her body no longer feeling foreign to her. Forgetting that Necrospace was a thing, Kurovika offered her arm, and Chami took it, using it to steady herself. Miraculously, Chami wasn't affected by the Necrospace, much to Kurovika's surprise.
As they made their way to the common room, Chami tried to process everything that had happened while she was unconscious. Memories flashed in her mind, snippets of her body moving on its own, being controlled by Sylvie. Every memory left a bitter taste on her tongue, a reminder of her helplessness.
Kurovika led Chami through the hallway towards the common room, supporting her along the way. As they approached the common room door, the sound of voices could be heard coming from inside.
Kurovika pushed the door open, and they entered the common room, where Draley, Svenja, and Nana were already present. The moment Chami stepped into the room, the atmosphere changed. A mix of relief and joy filled the room as all three of them turned their attention to her arrival.
Draley rose from her seat and quickly made her way over to Chami, embracing her tightly. "Oh Chami, thank the stars ye're back! We were so worried about you.”

Chami hugged Draley in return, feeling a sense of comfort in her embrace. "I'm back, and... I can't thank you all enough for rescuing me. I don't know what happened while Sylvie was in control, but I'm relieved to be back in my own body.”
"It's been a hectic few days. We're all happy to see you awake and well,” she replied with a grateful smile.
Chami gave Draley a weary smile back. "I can only imagine how rough it must have been. I feel like I've missed a whole lifetime in the days I was unconscious.”
Just then, Nana, who had been quietly observing from the side, timidly approached Chami. "I'm glad...you ar-rare okay now." Nana said with a shy smile. "We all…missed you.”
Chami turned to Nana and gave her a warm smile. "Thanks, Nana. I missed all of you too. I can't believe what happened while I was...not myself. Tell me, what did I miss?”
The three girls shared brief glances with each other, unsure of where to start. It was Svenja who spoke up first, her voice slightly somber. "There's a lot we need to catch you up on. Are ye ready to hear it all? It's been a wild ride, lass.”
Chami nodded, her expression serious. "Yes, I'm ready. I need to know everything that happened. I need to understand what happened while I was...in the passenger seat, I guess you could say.”
Kurovika chimed in, "Perhaps we should start from the beginning, from when Sylvie first got her hands on your body.”
Draley nodded in agreement and Chami took a deep breath, bracing herself for what she was about to hear. "Yes, from the beginning. I need to understand what happened from the moment I lost control of my own body.”
...
"So that's what happened?" Chami asked, wide-eyed.
The girls nodded, their faces solemn. Draley replied, "Unfortunately, that's how things went. It was a harrowing experience for all of us, especially for you.”
Chami sat in silence absorbing everything the girls had relayed to her. "I can't believe...I was under Sylvie's control for that long. I don't remember any of it.”
Svenja nodded sympathetically. "Aye, lass. That's because Sylvie was in complete control of your body. Your consciousness was suppressed the whole time."
Svenja paused for a moment, her eyes narrowing in realization. "Say, Chami. We did need yer help with a special someone, eh?”
Chami looked up in curiosity. "A special someone? What do you mean?"
"Evelynn. Ya see, she has been afflicted with this thingamajig called Necrospace. It's the reason she has a corrupted eye, and some evil being can peek through that eye to spy on Evelynn. Draley couldn't use her abilities to save her, but since you're an Acolyte—the Acolyte of Possession—perhaps we now have a chance ta bring 'er back to normal.”
Chami's eyes widened in surprise. She had been so preoccupied with her own situation that she hadn't considered the possibility of helping anyone else. "Are you saying... I might be able to save Evelynn? Bring her back to normal and free her from Necrospace's grasp?”
Draley nodded, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. "Yes, that's the idea. Given your abilities as the Acolyte of Possession, we believe you may have the unique power it takes to break Necrospace's hold on her and restore her to her usual state.”
Chami pondered for a moment. The idea of helping someone else, of using her abilities for good after the ordeal she had gone through, was appealing. "I want to help. If I can free Evelynn from Necrospace's grasp, I want to give it my all.”
Svenja's eyes lit up at Chami's determination. "Aye, lass! We knew ye'd want to help! Ye're one o' the most selfless people out there, after all.”
Draley, a proud smile on her face, added, "And not to mention your skills as an Acolyte. I can't think of anyone else who's more qualified to do this than you.”
Chami felt a sense of purpose growing within her. "I'll do it. I'll help free Evelynn from Necrospace's hold. Just take me to her room.”
The girls nodded, relieved and grateful for Chami's willingness to help. "Of course, lass. We'll take ye to 'er room right away.”
