"Alright, let's move," said Alice, taking charge once more. "We've come this far, and we can't back down now. We need to see this through to the end."
With Alice leading the way, the girls began walking again, their energy gradually returning as they moved further. The tunnel was still narrow and dimly lit, but the girls were undeterred. They continued onwards, determined to find whatever awaited them at the end of this labyrinth.
As they walked through the tunnel, the girls remained alert, their eyes scanning the surroundings in the dim light. Although the cult members were temporarily neutralized, they knew that other potential dangers could be awaiting them. However, they tried not to let their anxiety consume them, focusing on their steps and the mission ahead. They passed by a couple of intersections, staying on their path and avoiding any distractions. Once, they stopped to catch their breaths and take a short rest, but they didn't linger for too long. They knew they had to keep moving forward.
After some time of careful and slow walking, the girls finally noticed that the tunnel began to widen a bit, and the light became a bit brighter, indicating that they were nearing their destination. The girls' hearts began to pound in anticipation, knowing that they were getting close to their goal.
As the tunnel widened, the girls picked up their pace, their excitement and curiosity fueling their movements. They knew they were getting close now and couldn't contain their eagerness to find out what lay ahead. The light grew brighter with every step, and the girls' anticipation continued to build. They exchanged a few tense glances, silently agreeing that it was time to be cautious once more. They were almost there, but they didn't know what they were stepping into.
Finally, they reached the end of the tunnel, and found themselves facing a massive, intricately engraved metal door. It seemed ancient and well-made, and it was obvious that this room had not been entered in a long time. The girls could feel the weight of history hanging in the air and the thickness of the door before them.
The girls stood in front of the imposing door, completely amazed and mesmerized by its size and design. Their hearts were racing with anticipation and excitement. They knew this door marked the end of their current path, leading to a room that hadn't been entered in who knows how long. The door definitely seemed ancient, and the sheer size of it intimidated the girls, but only heightened their curiosity. They stared at the intricacies of the door's engravings, trying to unravel its secrets, but it was hard to tell what the images meant. This door was clearly meant to be noticed and respected.
"This must be it," said Alice in a voice barely above a whisper, her eyes locked on the door's engravings. "The chamber. This...must be the door to the chamber."
The girls nodded in agreement. Rachel stepped closer, examining the engravings on the door's surface and the ancient symbols covering its surface. "These symbols...I've never seen anything like them. They're beautiful, but incredibly complex.”
"And look at the craftsmanship..." added Zalgo, her eyes widening as she ran her hand lightly over the intricate engravings. "This door is centuries old, at least. The skill and artistry put into this is incredible."
The girls continued to study the door, completely captivated by its intricacies. They couldn't believe their eyes, the door was completely mesmerizing.
But before Alice could touch the door to open it, a voice could be heard on the other side. Judging by the robotic distortion of the voice similar to that of the cultists from earlier, it could be another cult member, but they pushed their suspicions aside and leaned against the door to listen to the voice.
"—Perfect world would be one of humanity accepting each other for who they are. No discrimination for one's race, one's gender, one's class. But humanity is incapable of such as humans always need an enemy. You see, humans always need another group to feel superior to. If an individual is not hated for their race, they will be hated for their religion. If not that reason, then another. And so on, and so on. Therefore, the only way to rid the world of hate and discrimination is for us to rid it of humanity itself."

Another modulated voice chimed in with a cold "Agreed.”
The girls listened with rapt attention, a shiver running down their spines. The conversation on the other side of the door was unsettling, to say the least. The words being spoken were both familiar and foreign at the same time, raising more questions for the girls. They continued to listen, realizing that the answers to some of their questions were being answered, but new ones were now being born.
"We humans are flawed, and we will always be so," continued the first robotic voice. "That is why we must create a better, more perfect world for those who deserve it."
"A world where humanity no longer exists," replied the second voice, "only entities and beings with emotions capable of understanding and accepting each other without division.”
The girls exchanged surprised glances. Did the cult really want to...eradicate humanity? The thought was utterly shocking, and the very idea of it sent shivers down their spines again with dread. The girls continued to listen, realizing that the cult's intentions were far more extreme and radical than they could have imagined.
"That is the goal we are working towards." The sound of a metallic chair being moved against the concrete floor could be heard through the door. "And we are making progress. Soon, humanity shall be no more. And then, we shall create the new world. A world where only those who deserve to exist will be left. And our queen will come forth to rule all."
"Mother Gaia herself, she will rule everything without a single objection.”
The girls listened in horrified shock, their eyes wide with disbelief. The cultists were not only planning to eradicate humans, but they were doing it in the name of Gaia? The thought was both unthinkable and blasphemous. The girls continued to listen, their minds trying to process the information they were hearing.
"Our Goddess shall rise from the volcanic flames, and the world shall bow to her glory." the first voice continued, their voice vibrating with enthusiasm. "A new era shall begin, a utopia without humans, without conflict. A realm of perfect harmony and eternal peace."
"Only the worthy shall exist in the new world," said the second voice, echoing with an eerie robotic resonance. "Those who understand the true meaning of life and embrace its purpose shall be spared. The rest, though, the rest will be annihilated.
The girls listened with mixed feelings of horror and disbelief. They couldn't believe what they were hearing. Eradication? Genocide on a global scale, simply for the sake of creating a supposed utopia? It was beyond cruel, it was monstrous. But that wasn't all, somehow this cult believed that the goddess Gaia would rise up and somehow rule this utopia herself?
"You are correct," replied the first voice. "The goddess shall rise in a new body, a form capable of governing all. Once she returns, the perfect world will be complete. Humans are incapable of coexisting with each other, let alone themselves without discrimination, they even discriminate against us based on how we look, how we think, how we're born. This is how flawed humanity is, and this is why humanity must be destroyed for a perfect world to exist."
"And it will be." the second voice affirmed. "And when Mother Gaia rises, the new world shall be complete."
The sounds of footsteps approaching the door were heard by the girls, making them take quick steps back.
As the footsteps drew closer, the girls panicked and quickly took several steps back, their bodies tensing with fear. They knew they had to move fast before the cult members on the other side of the door caught them eavesdropping. They darted back towards the center of the tunnel, their hearts racing as they tried to stay out of sight.
The footsteps came to a stop, and the sound of the doorknob jiggling could be heard through the door.

The doorknob was turning, indicating that the door was about to open. The girls' hearts began to race, their fear and anxiety skyrocketed as they realized they were about to be discovered. They stood frozen, unsure of what to do or where to go.
The door creaked open, the ancient metallic hinges protesting with a squeal. Moonlight flooded into the dimly lit tunnel, and a silhouette emerged from the darkness behind the door frame.
