Lultima Possibilità

Yuki dashed forward, intent on continuing her assault, while Sharline, battered and winded, struggled to regain her composure and mount a defense.

Sharline, despite her weakened state, fought back with all her remaining strength, her movements were sluggish and less effective.

Yuki chuckled, amused by Sharline's struggle. "You're fighting like a cornered animal, desperate and exhausted. It's kind of cute to see you try to fight back when you're at such a disadvantage.”

Sharline gritted her teeth, frustrated by her own weakness and annoyed by Yuki's taunting. "Don't underestimate me, I'm not giving up yet.”

Yuki smirked, enjoying the challenge despite Sharline's determination. "Oh, I'm not underestimating you. I just know you're on the ropes. You're tired, weakened, and at my mercy. But by all means, give it everything you've got.

Sharline, fighting through the pain and exhaustion, took a deep breath and focused. She may be weakened, but her stubbornness and determination were not about to fade. She refused to give in easily.

With a grimace, Sharline mustered all her remaining strength and lunged at Yuki, her movements less powerful but still filled with determination.

Yuki, however, was anticipating this. Despite all her efforts, Yuki easily dodged the attacks, her agility and reflexes far superior.

Sharline, growing more frustrated and exhausted, continued her attacks, her movements becoming more desperate and predictable.

Yuki smirked, finding amusement in Sharline's increasing frustration. "You're getting sloppy, you know that? Your attacks are becoming more predictable, and you're running out of steam. Give it up already.”

Sharline gritted her teeth, frustration evident on her face. "Shut up! I'm not giving up. I'll keep fighting until I can't anymore.”

Yuki chuckled, a hint of admiration in her voice. "You're stubborn, I'll give you that. But no matter how determined you are, you're fighting a losing battle. You're exhausted, hurt, and your attacks are becoming weaker. The tournament must continue, so why don't I put you out of your misery, hmm~?"

Sharline's eyes flashed with defiance despite her weakened state. "I'm not going down that easily. I won't let you end this fight so quickly.”

Yuki smirked, amused by Sharline's defiance. "Oh, you're still so defiant, even when you're on the ropes. But I can see the exhaustion in your eyes. You're running on fumes.”

Sharline gritted her teeth, trying to hide the pain and exhaustion that was taking a toll on her. "I can still fight. I can keep going.”

Yuki chuckled, raising a brow. "Can you though? Look at you, you're barely standing. Your attacks lack power, and your moves are sloppy. You're not in any shape to keep going much longer.”

  Stolen story; please report.

Sharline clenched her fists, determined to prove Yuki wrong. "I won't give up. I can't give up. I'll find a way to win this fight.”

Yuki smirked, seeing Sharline's determination but also her vulnerability. "You're feisty, I'll give you that. But your stubborn resolve won't help you when you're fighting against someone stronger and more experienced. You're talking to a master assassin, remember?”

Sharline, despite her weakened state, refused to give in. "I don't care about your title or experience. I'll find a way to defeat you, no matter what it takes.”

Yuki chuckled, amused by Sharline's unwavering determination. "I must say, one kind of person I dislike is one fighting a battle they realize they have zero chance of winning. At least keep SOME of your dignity, hm~?”

Sharline gritted her teeth, her resolve still burning within. "I'm not here to preserve my dignity. I'm here to win.”

Yuki chuckled; the defiance Sharline was displaying was admirable yet foolish. "You're putting up a good fight for someone on the verge of collapsing. But let's be real here. You're in no condition to win this fight. Your body is exhausted, and you're fighting on pure adrenaline. So I think it's time that I..."

Sharline didn't know how she did it, but Yuki was in Sharline's face in the blink of an eye, and she had no time to react to the knee sent to her abdomen, the pain so monumental that she could swear her soul leapt out of her body as her body flew into the wall of the arena. When the dust settled, Sharline was seen unconscious, her body embedded into the wall

Yuki smirked as she approached Sharline, admiring her handiwork. "Well, it seems like I'm victorious. Your unwavering determination was admirable, but ultimately futile. You simply weren't strong enough to match me."

And now, it was time for Marco to announce the winner.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this battle is..."

Marco gestures to Yuki, waving to the crowd, "...YUKI XEROSI!!!!!”

The crowd erupted into cheers, applauding Yuki's victory. Yuki stood proudly, her smirk remaining on her face. Yuki basked in the applause, her victory bringing with it a sense of satisfaction and pride. The crowd chanted Yuki's name, acknowledging her strength and skill in the fight.

Yuki's smirk widened as she heard the crowd chanting her name. It was a moment of glory for her, and she reveled in it.

  …

Alice and friends exchanged nervous looks as Yuki approached. Nika swallowed, trying to sound positive. "Great match, Yuki... You did really well there.”

Yuki smirked, her victorious aura palpable. "Thanks. She had determination, I'll give her that, but this master assassin was way out of her league.”

Rachel forced a smile, trying to stay positive. "Yeah, Sharline gave it her all, but you were just too skilled.”

Yuki chuckled softly, still in her confident state. "Indeed. She had potential and some strong kicks, but I've been through grueling, ruthless training since a little girl. Such is the life of a member of the Xerosi Clan, after all.”

Nika nodded in agreement. "I see. Being part o' this 'Xerosi Clan' must've been pretty tough and relentless, huh?”

Yuki's smirk widened. "You have no idea. Even before we learned how to walk, we were trained in combat, stealth, strategic thinking, and weapon usage. It was brutal, no room for weakness.”

Rachel raised a brow, genuinely impressed. "That sounds intense for a little kid. So it's like a lifelong commitment from birth, huh?”

Yuki nodded, her smirk still in place. "You got it. From the moment we're born, our lives belong to the clan. We are raised as assassins, trained to be the best or die trying. Our lives are dedicated to the clan, no room for distractions or weakness.”

Alice, always curious, chimed in. "So um, Yuki, if you don't mind...you're really interesting, so would you mind having a chat with us in Celeste's suite?”

Yuki raised a curious eyebrow, intrigued by the invitation. "A chat, huh? Sure, why not. I could use a little break. Lead the way.”
