Skill Descriptions
Assessment
The ability to discern specific elements about people and things. However, effort is needed by the individual to understand what they are assessing, otherwise it is meaningless.
Tier 0: You have a vague idea of what people are thinking, though only the most obvious of things will get through that thick skull of yours. It is now easier to parse a person’s emotional state and validity of their statements by a minor amount.
Tier 1: You have a slightly better understanding of people, and are able to pick up anomalous animal behavior in creatures you have interacted with at least twice.
Tier 2: You have a basic idea of the strength of a person or creature when compared to yourself and can pull up a window that gives a summary of observed behaviors, abilities, and skills with approximate tiers and ranks from observation. Observation is done autonomously and compiled on request.
Cheap Shot
You want to get the first, and preferably last, blow in a fight. You will use every dirty trick you can to make sure you win, and that’s a good thing. The one who wins, is the one who lives.
Tier 0: You got lucky.
Tier 1: Okay, not lucky. Moments for an appropriately devastating blow will begin to glow when this skill is being actively used at the start of a fight. Insight and Perception will increase the accuracy of this information. Glow is only visible to the user.
Dancing
An action as common as breathing among civilized society. You move with rhythm, often to your own beat but occasionally your feet match that of those around you.
Tier 0: You won’t be winning any awards, but stepping on your partner’s feet won’t be as much of an issue.
Tier 1: You’ve learned how to move with some grace, and can match the flow of those around you. Your steps are more in time with a partner, and you move instinctively to the beat of music.
Deception
While many think lying is only through words, it’s a whole language of its own. The way you say things matters as much as the way your body is positioned and where you look with your eyes. The cadence of your words and even your breathing could give the whole thing away.
Tier 0: You won’t be running for office, but you could probably convince a child that chocolate milk comes from brown animals.
Fire Manipulation
Fire is the source of civilization. It’s creative and destructive potential are only limited by the imaginations of those who wield it. Careful you don’t get burned.
Tier 0: You have learned how to convert internal or external mana into fire and point it in a direction. And you didn’t blow yourself up! Probably. It’s assumed based on you reading this.

Freerunning
You are adept at running through obstacles at speed. Combines a variety of movement techniques to make running, jumping, climbing, and sliding easier. Requires 25 Agility and 15 Strength. Requires Sprint, Climbing, Running, or another movement related skill.
Tier 0: The skill helps you pick out different routes and obstacles that can be used to not only move through an environment, but sometimes move faster.
Light Armor
So you’ve decided you don’t want to die, but aren’t committed to the idea enough to wear anything worthwhile. It’s okay, you can dodge that blow. Probably.
Tier 0: You’re wearing something to prevent your insides from becoming outsides
Mana Sense
Your ability to detect the mana levels around you. With time, you can keep track of the information.
Tier 0: You can see mana. All mana. Some sources are stronger than others.
Tier 1: You can see the strength of a mana source is compared to your Magic stats.
Tier 2: You can sense the elements in certain sources of mana.
Tier 3: You can sense internal mana with more precision.
Mathematics
1+1 = 2 is the start, but how deep can you get your understanding?
Tier 0: You have proven you can add and subtract small numbers. Congratulations!
Tier 1: You have proven you can multiply and divide numbers. Congratulations!
Tier 2: You are getting into more complex equations and aren’t afraid of letters in your math. You have a basic understanding of formulas for calculating things. You gain access to a Calculator function with features to make more complicated equations easier.
Riding
Whether it’s a mount to cross a field, or a companion in the bedroom, this skill will help you keep your seat and not get thrown off.
Tier 0: You might not fall off, but you’ll be sore later.
Small Blades
Knives, kukri, daggers, or whatever else has a blade about 30cm or lower. A friend to every chef, gardener, or assassin.
Tier 0: The pointy end goes away from your body and gripping the handle in reverse is not a great idea.
Speed Reading
A core skill for scribes or government officials, you need to read a lot of things very quickly.
Tier 0: Reading speed is now based on the combination of Perception and Intelligence by a minor amount.
Tier 1: Reading speed is now based on the combination of Perception and Intelligence.
Sprinting
You have decided that it’s a good idea to be able to run quickly in one direction. Just be sure you don’t become fast food. Requires 15 Agility.
Tier 0: You can run in a straight line quickly.
Tier 1: Agility now directly effects how fast you can run. Speed will increase for a maximum of Endurance divided by 4 seconds at an increase of Agility divided by 4 times 10%.
Staff Combat
Every mages best friend and the stick many monks will use to crack your skull. This skill helps you channel mana through your staff and adds increased damage to blows with the staff.
Tier 0: You can wield a staff without tripping yourself. Mostly
Tier 1: You can channel a small amount of mana through an appropriate staff and use it to cast from with a minor increase in power based on Mana Power.
Swords
The staple weapon of many warriors. Big, small, thin, or thick, if it’s considered a sword, you can wield it.
Tier 0: You know not to grab the pointy end, and (probably) won’t injure yourself.
Tier 1: You can channel mana into your blade to create various effects.
Throwing
You have unlocked the ability to throw an object at another object. The only impressive thing is not having it before you’re a teenager.
Tier 0: You are able to throw an object in the general direction you are aiming. Aim is better with Perception and Dexterity.
Tier 1: You can channel mana into an object before throwing it. Different types of mana apply different effects
Tonfas
A weapon often used defensively to deliver devastating blows to the unprepared. Can be wielded by either handle and often in pairs. If you have this and don’t have Two-Weapon Fighting, you are not using them to their full potential.
Tier 0: You can use them without bashing your own head in.
Tier 1: You can channel mana through a properly prepared weapon. Different mana types produce different effects.
Tier 2: When mana is used to deflect a blow with this weapon, prevent momentum pushing you away from your opponent.
Traction
Through unsteady walks in the forest or precarious walks along cliffs or rooftops, you somehow have a strange ability to keep your footing. Whether through expert control of your body, or good shoes. Requires Dexterity 25. Requires 100 hours of navigating difficult terrain.
Tier 0: You are less likely to fall due to slick surfaces or uneven terrain.
Tier 1: Based on Strength, Dexterity, and Endurance, you cannot be pushed or otherwise moved against your will so long as you have proper footing.
Two-Weapon Fighting
Dual wielding weapons is cool! The thrill of two daggers rapidly striking at your opponent. The joy of swinging two blades at a foe. Or, technically a shield counts as a weapon for the purposes of this skill if it’s used to attack. If you want to be boring. Mix and match your favorites!
Tier 0: You can use them both without hitting yourself. Usually. Improves directly with Dexterity
Tier 1: You become ambidextrous. Yes, that’s it.
Unarmed Combat
The oldest form of hurting one another. Fists, legs, knees, elbows, heads, and teeth. Fight with whatever you were born with! At high enough skills, you might not even break your hand on someone’s armor.
Tier 0: You can throw a punch.
Tier 1: You can throw a punch well.
Tier 2: You don’t injure yourself when you hit something solid anymore. This includes: People, animals, wooden planks, and concrete slabs.
Wind Manipulation
Wind is the result of the rotation of the world. It is both the gentle breeze on a hot day, or terrifying and whirling destruction.
Tier 0: You have learned how to convert internal or external mana into wind and point it in a direction. One of the safer Manipulation skills to learn, so long as you stay on the ground.
Trait Descriptions
Attentive Student
When training, skill acquisition and increase are slightly increased. When being taught be a teacher, doubles the effect the Teacher skill has on you.
Aura of Authority
Your presence makes others wish to obey you. Does not work on the strong willed. Effect is enhanced by Charisma.
Backpacking
Increases maximum carry weight, anything carried will feel significantly lighter to the user. Gain the Traction Skill.
Experience Absorption
Converts Personal Experience Crystals into Banked Experience.
Experience Conversion
Converts Banked Experience into Personal Experience Crystals of the specified value. Can also be used to convert Banked Experience into Class Experience at a rate of 4 to 1.
Extrinsic Mana Manipulation
Using a bit of your own mana, you form a connection to the mana surrounding. With a bit of control and skill you could eventually change the type of mana you can attract. Allows the casting of external spells without having spell learned. Doing so will learn the spell.
Flight or Fight
In dangerous situations, sometimes you don’t have time to make a considered decision. In these instances, immediate action is better than freezing. For up to five minutes, your Agility stats will have it’s maximum effective amount doubled (it will not raise your stats). This comes with the usual bonuses of increased reaction time. Note: Time will not slow, you are speeding up.
WARNING!: Due to the removal of safety restrictions, you will likely cause serious internal injuries to yourself. The higher the effective Agility, the greater the risk of damage. Injuries can include torn ligaments, rupturing internal organs, lack of oxygen to the brain, and death.
Honor thy House
There are times where the only course of action is violence. Grants the Challenge option. Challenge someone to a duel. Terms can be set and experience wagered. If to the death, all experience and items in external storage (alternate dimension, spacial bag, etc) of the slain party are rewarded to the winner.
Intrinsic Mana Manipulation
You are able to more directly interact with the mana from your Mana stats. With this trait, you can move it around inside of you, and even direct it to enhance yourself or items you are holding. Can learn personal enhancement spells and the manipulation skills.
Mana Conduit
Your aura acts as a conductor for magic. Increases the speed of spell casting, both inner and exterior, based on Charisma.
Moderator’s Veil

Noble Birth
Great things are expected of you. Born into responsibility, given a head start, and often living a life of comfort, you are a Noble. Noble will be the base class you unlock upon reaching five years of age. Regardless of outside influence, your class and title cannot be taken away. Experience gain, by default, is increased by 10% for all classes.
Noble Pursuits
A noble must have hobbies to improve themselves and to have fun. Two skills may be chosen to increase learning speed. Increased effectiveness of those skills abilities. (Freerunning and Sprint Selected)
Personal Library
Gain the Library feature. Books you touch will be stocked in your personal LIbrary. You may read from a screen or summon a temporary copy of the book to share that disappears one hour after being conjured.
Second Chance
Congratulations! You died. However, unlike others, you got better. Since you defied death once, you should be able to do it again, right? Once per month, you can be fully healed from death at the greater cost of 1 Class level or the total amount of banked experience available. Try not to make it a habit.
Second Wind
Temporarily doubles Endurance to give the user a burst of energy. After the time limit, will suffer exhaustion. Usable once per 20 hours.
Spatial Closet
You are given access to a 5m by 5m by 5m space to store items. All items stored this way are stored in a vacuum and thus will be unchanged over time. Because it is a vacuum, living organisms cannot survive within including plants, animals, people, and anything that requires breathable air or light. Objects within can be damaged by other objects inside.
Treasury
Your Experience Bank fills at a rate of your Total Level times Class Tier each day. Gain the ability to absorb and create PEC from your Experience Bank. Current: 39*1 EXP per day.
Spell Descriptions
Heal
Target is healed based on mana provided. Efficiency increases by Total Rank. Does not heal disease. Incapable of restoring lost limbs. Does not effect viruses.
Tier 0: Restoration is based on .5x Mana Power. Control is unavailable.
Tier 1: Restoration is based on 1x Mana Power. Mana Control is .5 times effective at targeting injury.
Scan
Provides information on the target. Information for people is provided based on skill Total Rank, item strength relative to user, and user authority.
Tier 0: Information on items up to Tier 2 are available, though not all information may be provided for Tier 2 items.
Function Descriptions
Calculator
Uses the System to assist with calculations. Has features for scientific notation, trigonometry, calculus and more. Upgrade will unlock additional functions.
Encyclopedia
Records information gained by the user and organizes it into a structured format that can be reviewed alphabetically, by type, by region, or by other criteria. Includes a search function and bookmark option for information the user deems important. Upgrades will add additional functions.
Inventory
Acts as a reference for any item you are carrying in a physical container or storage space. Accessing the item in this menu will let you know exactly where it is in your bags, pockets, or storage space. Upgrades will add additional functions
Map
Actively records your surroundings on a map. Does a general outline and marks visited locations of importance, such as stores, dungeons, and personal home. Upgrades will add additional functions.
Notes
Allows the user to make personal notes on their interface and save them for later reference. Upgrades will add additional functions.
Quests
Gives access to the General Questing System. You are able to take quests from important people and gain rewards directly from the system, in addition to whatever rewards the person offering will provide. No additional upgrades available.
