Chapter 36
P3X-439. The enigmatic planet where Amos unlocked the profound wisdom of the Ancients. It had been several months since Amos set foot on this otherworldly terrain, yet the imposing silhouette of the headless figure perched upon a decaying throne still filled him with awe as he and his team materialized through the Stargate.
Much had changed in the short period of time since Amos and Freyr first arrived on this world. Not only had he defeated the replicators, but he had also created an intergalactic alliance, rebuilt the Lantean fleet, and literally resurrected the dead. Indeed, both Amos and Reva were a testament to what humans could achieve if they could look into the inheritance of the ancestors and live. Now he had returned to this world to see if one more person could transcend their human limitations and download the knowledge of the Ancients and survive.
“All you have to do is let it grab your head, Sha’re,” said Amos.
Sha’re turned towards Amos and looked at him with the same disgusting look she had given him in his dream. “What if it hurts?” worried Sha’re. “You guys keep using me for your science experiments.”
“Trust me, Sha’re, it will not hurt. I had the same thing done to me and now I have all the knowledge of the ancestors as well as some of their powers.”
Sha’re turned back towards the device, took a deep breath and placed her head in the center of the machine. Within seconds, the arms of the repository had extended around Sha’re’s head and began downloading the wisdom of the ages into her brain.
“Wow!” yelled Sha’re.
“Are you alright?” Reva asked.
“Sha’re hesitated, her voice trailing off as if lost in thought. Before she could articulate the weight of her feelings, the world around her dissolved into a void of darkness. When sight returned, she found herself suspended in orbit above a planet that was utterly unrecognizable. Below, a chaotic maelstrom unfolded, where warships of various shapes and sizes clashed with a staggering multitude of Ha’tak vessels—the formidable flagship of the Goa’uld fleet.

The din of battle was deafening as the Goa’uld unleashed their devastating arsenal upon the mysterious armada. In the midst of the fury, one of the mysterious vessels pivoted gracefully, aiming towards a Goa’uld ship. With astonishing precision, it fired radiant orbs of yellow light that hurtled through the abyss. In an instant, the orbs engulfed the Ha’tak, leaving a void where the ship once held its proud presence.
Amid the turmoil, a searing beam of light erupted from the planet's surface, carving through the chaos and obliterating additional Ha’tak vessels, even as the Goa’uld persisted with their relentless assault on this enigmatic world.
“Sha’re…”
“Sha’re…”
Amos, Reva, and Freyr shook Sha’re earnestly trying to wake her up. She appeared to be in a trance and stood there motionless and unresponsive to any of their words.
“She’s not responding, Amos,” said Reva fearfully.
“We need to get her back to Orban, immediately!” urged Freyr.
Then with a wave of her hand, Sha’re mind had returned.
“It’s ok… I believe I had a vision.” said the frail wife of Daniel Jackson.
The crew of the Skidbladnir were relieved to see their new comrade was alright.
“You had a vision?” Amos asked, his curiosity piquing.
“...Yes. I believe I did. I was in orbit over a mysterious planet where a great battle was being waged,” said Sha’re trying hard to recollect the vision in detail.
“There were ships of various shapes and sizes guarding the planet while the Goa’uld fleet launched their devastating attack,” she explained.
“Who won the fight?” asked Amos eagerly.
“I - I couldn’t tell,” Sha’re responded. “I did see several Ha’tak’s destroyed, however, but the battle was still raging when I found myself back here.”
Sha’re had gained the ability of clairvoyance – the power to see the future! Usually it takes time before the powers of the Ancients manifest themselves, however, with Sha’re she had received their powers within a matter of seconds. Not only that, but Sha’re had received a power not even he or Reva had. Sure, Amos had supposedly glimpsed the future in his dream – but Sha’re was awake while it happened; a feat neither he nor Reva displayed. Amos wondered if he too would develop this power someday.
Freyr, ever cautious, still worried about Sha’re’s well-being. “Come, we must go back to Orban so we can run more tests on Sha’re,”.
Reva manifested a Kino and turned towards the large statue. “Hold on everyone, there’s something I want to do first.”
