Chapter 31: You Cant Keep Someone Like That By Your Side!

The shoot went exceptionally smoothly. It was rare to encounter such a talented new actress. The photographer couldn't resist taking a few extra sets of photos with them, and even the agent, who was in a hurry, didn't stop him.

Only when the photography assistant signaled that it was enough did Chloe break character. She bowed to the teachers. "Thank you for your hard work, teachers!"

Then she turned and ran towards Vivian, her pretty face flushed, her heart beating uncontrollably fast.

In all her life, this was her first time having such intimate contact with a member of the opposite sex—holding waists, close embraces, chin touches, deep emotional eye contact. Fortunately, her sense of belief in the character was strong enough; while doing these things, she completely became 'Daisy'.

But after stepping out of the role, she couldn't help her cheeks blush.

Vivian's eyes sparkled like little stars; she was so excited she was almost crying. "Oh my god, baby! The chemistry is off the charts! I'm shipping this couple before the series even starts filming! Thank you for bringing me along to witness this today."

"How was it? Was it okay?" Chloe asked quietly.

Vivian nodded vigorously. It was more than just okay; the two of them were practically the living embodiments of 'Daisy' and 'Ivy'.

"The photographer's eyes were shining when he looked at you."

Hearing Vivian say that, Chloe couldn't help but feel relieved. It was her first time taking promotional photos; she had no experience and relied entirely on her own feeling.

Meanwhile, Bryan had already been taken away to remove his makeup, and that capable female agent suddenly strode over to Chloe.

  "You're Chloe, right?"

Chloe was startled but quickly nodded. "Hello, teacher."

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Faye, an agent from 'Daybreak Entertainment Agency'. This is my business card."

As she spoke, Faye handed over a red business card.

Chloe took it and smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, teacher, I don't have a card."

"That's fine. You're a newcomer, right?" Faye asked.

"Yes, I'm a freshman at the film academy. This is my first role."

Faye's eyes sparkled, filled with unconcealed admiration. "You have real talent. If you haven't signed with an agency yet, we should talk."

Vivian, standing nearby, almost screamed on Chloe's behalf, instinctively covering her mouth. "Mmph—"

Chloe was, of course, flattered and surprised. She wasn't even officially in the industry yet, and an agent from a talent agency was proactively seeking to sign her?

"You can think about it first, or ask your teachers at school. It's much easier for newcomers with agency support. If you're willing to join, I can personally manage you."

Faye checked the time. "I have to go now. Contact me once you've decided."

Chloe nodded vigorously, her eyes reddening with emotion as she watched Faye leave.

"Oh my god, Chloe, you're simply amazing." Vivian grasped Chloe's hands, her own voice trembling with excitement. "You're going to be famous. You absolutely will be!"

Originally, Chloe, who had just started studying acting at university, felt somewhat lost. But now, holding Faye's business card in her hand, she saw hope for her future and her dreams.

  Apollo Male Specialist Private Hospital.

  Inpatient Department, VIP Single Room.

Eric lay semi-reclined on the hospital bed, looking utterly defeated. Two days had passed, and the area severely struck by Grace was still throbbing with a dull pain.

The hospital room door opened, and a female doctor in a white coat entered, holding medical records.

Eric, snapping back to reality and noticing it was a female doctor, instinctively looked behind her. "Where's Doctor Thomas?"

"Doctor Thomas is consulting in the outpatient department. Your routine condition monitoring will be my responsibility fr\';p[p[[=pom now on." The female doctor didn't look very old, perhaps in her late twenties.

She approached the bedside and gestured slightly with her chin. "Take your pants down, let me have a look."

Eric's eyes widened suddenly, his face showing extreme resistance.

Was she kidding? A vigorous young man in his twenties, taking his pants down in front of a woman?

That place hadn't been seen by anyone, not even his mother, since he grew up—only Grace had seen it!

Seeing his expression, the female doctor frowned impatiently. "What are you shy about, young man? In medicine, there are no genders. Hurry up and let me see."

"No way. Get Doctor Thomas, or another male doctor," Eric insisted firmly, clutching his hospital trousers as if protecting his last piece of dignity.

The doctor naturally wouldn't force a patient's pants down. She could only sigh and ask, "Does it still hurt now?"

Eric nodded. "A little, just a dull ache."

  "Is there any swelling?"

  Eric hesitated. "Turn around first."

The doctor rolled her eyes helplessly and turned to face the window. Through the reflection in the glass, she saw Eric lift his pants to look inside himself.

  "Doesn't seem swollen," Eric said.

The doctor turned back, writing the result on the chart as she spoke. "The scans show no issues. But if the pain hasn't subsided in three days, you'll need further examination. I'll check again tomorrow."

Hearing this, Eric panicked. "Wait, doctor, what do you mean by further examination? I won't..."

"You won't," the doctor said, not wanting to scare him. "Reproductive organs aren't as fragile as you think. But external blunt force can sometimes cause internal inflammation, so we need to keep observing."

Hearing this, Eric couldn't help but feel slightly relieved.

Just then, Eric's mum entered the room with tonic supplies, followed by Clara.

Seeing Clara, the anger in Eric's chest flared up instantly. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't be lying here today, and there wouldn't be such a huge misunderstanding and conflict with Grace.

"What are you doing here?" Eric glared at her, displeased.

"Why can't she come?" Eric's mum had an awful expression. She placed the tonics casually on the table and looked at Eric. "That Grace did this to you. Don't take your misplaced anger out on Clara!"

Eric's expression froze upon hearing this. Then he turned his head sharply and shouted at Clara, "Why are you everywhere? Who told you to tell my mom!"

Clara was immediately reduced to tears again by his harsh tone, looking at him with a mix of anger and grievance. "Eric, you're lying here because of Grace! Even now you're still defending her! What kind of spell has she cast on you!"

"I'll say it again, my matters with Grace are none of your business!"

"Eric!" Hearing her son still so stubbornly deluded, Eric's mum slammed the table angrily. "Why are you yelling at Clara? That Grace keeps saying she agreed to break up with you, yet she's still entangled with you. I really underestimated that girl. She actually has the means to make you so devoted to her."

"This afternoon, I'm taking your medical report to your university president. You can't keep someone like that by your side! She must leave the University, leave Aethelburg!"
