Chapter 36: Is It Congenital Impotence, or Is There Some Defect?

"Of course, teacher isn't saying you were wrong. This incident was definitely Eric's fault. You're a girl; facing this kind of situation, you absolutely should have bravely resisted!"

After saying this, he thought for a moment and added: "But you still need to pay a bit more attention to the degree. After all, your attack... it... well... you know..."

Being a man, Advisor Lee actually found this topic somewhat difficult to talk about.

In all his years, he had never heard of such a thing.

Seeing his face flush bright red, Grace couldn't help but laugh. "I understand, Advisor Lee. The situation was special at the time. You know Eric's build; restraining me would have been effortless for him. I only had my hands free. I didn't want to either, and I still think it was gross!"

  He wasn't even wearing underwear!

Of course, Grace didn't say that last part, but she could feel that tactile sensation at the time.

Hearing Grace say this, Mr. Lee couldn't help but nod, reassured. Changing the subject, he asked with concern, "Are you settling into your new dorm okay? Do you have a new roommate?"

"It's fine," Grace nodded. "I have a great roommate. All these snacks are for her. I should thank you for helping with the dorm change."

"No need to be polite with me. Your family isn't from Aethelburg. Who else can you turn to for help besides me if something happens?"

Grace smiled, touched. Just like before, Advisor Lee was the embodiment of 'truth, kindness, and beauty' in her heart, the best counselor.

"Thank you again for today. You tipping me off ahead of time prevented me from being caught off guard and losing my composure."

Mr. Lee smiled and nodded. The atmosphere today had indeed been thick with hostility, but he hadn't expected Grace to remain so calm, handle the situation so well, and leave the other party no room for rebuttal.

Just as he was smiling, he noticed Grace suddenly turn to look at him with an icy expression. Mr. Lee's smile froze, and he asked, bewildered, "What's wrong?"

Grace casually tossed a bag of chips into her shopping basket, turned to face Mr. Lee, and said, "There's something I haven't asked you yet. How did you all handle that financial aid grant? There's a guy from the Math department who suddenly started showering me with attention, giving me black goji berries and flowers, insisting I hinted at him first, that I like him."

Stolen content warning: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.

"Huh?" Mr. Lee was dumbfounded. "Math department?"

Grace nodded and proceeded to lay out Rock's bewildering behavior and statements over the past few days in detail.

The more he listened, the more his face scrunched up in distaste, because he had seen the student named Rock before. My goodness, so dirty! He was practically unbearable to look at!

"How can such an absurd thing happen!" Mr. Lee also found it unbelievable, and after hearing it, he was even angrier than Grace.

Grace was famously beautiful in their Astronomy department, even the whole university. Those Math department guys were all unattractive, and one of them dared to harass a girl from their department?

"My guess is, after their counselor secured this spot, they wanted to emphasize how hard it was to get, so they told him he got it because you voluntarily gave it up. And the kid misunderstood, thinking you gave up the spot for him."

Grace laughed at this. "Advisor Lee, listen to what you're saying. Is it absurd or not?"

Mr. Lee also laughed, rather helplessly. "It is quite absurd. But some guys really might think that way. How does that saying go? 'He's so average, yet he can be so confident?'"

Hearing this, Grace couldn't help but look at Mr. Lee with admiration and nod. "Advisor Lee, as expected of you. For a man to say that phrase, the weight of it is off the charts!"

Mr. Lee smiled self-deprecatingly. "Advisor Lee already lacks confidence, let alone blind confidence."

"Don't worry. I'll mention this to their counselor later and ask them to ensure he doesn't harass you anymore. It's too creepy."

Grace immediately breathed a sigh of relief. She might have a lot of money now, but she probably still only had one life. She had never been so afraid of death as she was now.

Rich people are indeed afraid of death!

But rich men, besides fearing death, also fear being truly impotent.

Near the end of his shift, Doctor Thomas finally entered Eric's room to check on his condition personally.

  "Still hurting?" Doctor Thomas asked.

Eric shook his head. "It seemed to stop hurting about an hour ago. But if I deliberately pull on the area, it still hurts."

"That means it still hurts!" Doctor Thomas corrected him, then said expressionlessly, "Drop your pants, let me have a look."

With no female doctor present, Eric was much more forthright. He pulled down his pants and turned his head away. Doctor Thomas peered through his glasses, examined the area, then nodded. "Looks alright, not swollen, color is normal. Should be fine."

After pulling his pants back up, Eric hurriedly asked, "So, doctor, will I be all better by tomorrow?"

"Probably. If you wake up tomorrow and feel no pain, come find me to check out."

Having said that, Doctor Thomas turned to leave but was stopped by Eric calling out to him.

He looked at Eric suspiciously, finding the other's expression conflicted and hesitant, as if he had something to say but couldn't get it out.

  "What's wrong? Any other issues?"

Eric struggled for a moment but finally spoke. "Doctor Thomas, I... the first time with my girlfriend... it was... not very..."

Feeling utterly humiliated, Eric squirmed uncomfortably, even curling his toes, unable to get the words out in one go.

Seeing this, Doctor Thomas smiled. He turned back around and cut straight to the point. "Unsuccessful?"

Eric nodded awkwardly. At least there was no third person in the room besides Doctor Thomas.
