Chapter 44: The Wolf Councils

  ## A few days back, the Wolf Council: The Journey to Terra

The night is quiet as the wolves gather in the main chamber of the den. The fire outside has died down, and the humans—Kai and Aria—have retired to their chamber. But Tara has called the pack. This is important.

Notail is not here. He's in a separate chamber, deep in the den, undergoing his evolution.

Tara takes his position at the center, his wolf form large and imposing. Unolf settles beside him, alert and watchful. The pack forms a circle around them, all eyes on Tara, waiting.

Through Pack Coordination, Tara can feel their thoughts—curiosity, concern, readiness. They know something important is about to happen.

  "What happened?" Big Daddy communicates.

"The humans want to go to Terra, to the Mage's Guild. They're being hunted, and they need sanctuary." Tara communicates.

  Tara continues.

"I will send a clone with them to Terra. The clone will observe, learn, gather information about the human world, about the Mage's Guild, about this kingdom. It's an opportunity to understand the world better, to learn about the humans and their society." Tara communicates.

The pack's reaction is supportive. They understand. They trust his judgment.

Unolf, who's been standing beside Tara, communicates.

"I want to go too. I want to accompany you."

Tara looks at Unolf, surprised. Unolf has been with the humans for a while now, guarding them, watching them. He's become curious about them, about their world, about what lies beyond the forest.

Tara considers this. Unolf has been his assistant, always by his side. But now, Unolf wants to see more, to experience more. He's grown curious, and that curiosity is driving him.

"You want to go? Why?" Tara communicates.

"I've been watching them. I want to see their world. Besides, a clone of you is still you. You need someone with you." Unolf communicates.

Tara feels Unolf's determination, his curiosity. That experience has sparked something in him—a desire to see more, to learn more.

"Very well," Tara communicates. "You can come. But stay alert. The human world is dangerous. We don't know how they will treat us."

Big Momma steps forward, her expression warm.

"Be careful. Both of you. The human world is unknown. Stay alert. Stay safe." Big Momma communicates.

The council ends. The decisions are made.

The wolves disperse, getting ready for a new day.

  ## Wolf Council: The Threat Approaches

The next day, the pack gathers again. This time, Tara's call is urgent, alert.

Tara takes his position at the center, his wolf form tense, alert. The pack forms a circle around him, all eyes on Tara, waiting.

"The humans captured us. My clone and Unolf are being held at the Mage's Guild, bound by magical chains. We're prisoners." Tara communicates.

Anger flows through the pack connection—sharp, protective, fierce. The adults growl low in their throats, their eyes flashing. The humans betrayed them. They captured their leader, their assistant.

"What do we do?" Big Daddy communicates.

"The situation is complicated. The humans are holding us, but they haven't harmed us yet. We're being observed. But the pack needs to be ready. We need to be prepared for anything." Tara communicates.

Big Momma steps forward immediately, her expression fierce.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

"We need to protect the cubs." Big Momma communicates.

"Yes. The cubs need to be moved. They need to be taken to a safer location, deeper in the forest, away from the den. If the humans come, if they attack, the cubs must be protected. I will send a clone with Dosolf to escort them." Tara communicates.

The pack's agreement flows through the connection—unified, determined. The cubs will be protected.

"My clones are patrolling. They've detected something. Five mages are approaching. They look... weak." Tara communicates.

Then, movement. A figure emerges from the shadows at the back of the chamber. It's Notail, but he's changed. His form is sleeker, darker, more dangerous. His presence is different—sharper, more focused, more deadly.

  "I'm ready." Notail communicates.

Tara looks at Notail, feeling his new presence, his new abilities. He's an assassin wolf now, becoming even more elusive and dangerous.

"This is a good time to test your power, Notail. The rest of the pack will be ready to support, to strike when the time is right." Tara communicates.

  ## Wolf Council: After the Victory

"We've formed a pact with the Terra Mage's Guild." Tara communicates.

Tara can feel their reactions—surprise, concern, but also trust.

"The forest territory is ours. The humans will not attack as long as we don't attack first. I will be sending a clone to join the Mage's Guild as an apprentice under Elder Corin." Tara communicates.

The pack's reaction is mixed. Some feel relief—the threat is neutralized. Others feel concern—what does this mean for the pack?

"The five mages who came to capture us are being held. Under the contract, they must be returned." Tara communicates.

"They came for our children. How can we let them go so easily? It's already hard not to shred them into pieces." Big Momma communicates, her expression fierce.

Tara feels her anger, her protectiveness. Anyone who threatens the cubs is an enemy.

"If we return them, will they come back? What guarantees do we have?" Notail communicates, his eyes thoughtful.

"It's a death contract. But you're right to be cautious. Even though I have reasons to believe there is someone else behind all this." Tara communicates, thinking about Voren.

"Besides, we are strong. If they come again, we will be ready. We will be stronger." Big Daddy communicates.

The pack's mood shifts. Confidence replaces concern.

"I will be sending a clone to spend time at the Mage's Guild, learning, studying. It will be helpful for the pack to know the humans better as well as to gain power through knowledge." Tara communicates.

The pack's agreement flows through the connection—unified, strong, determined.

"What about the mages? When do we return them? How do we do it safely?" Tresolf communicates, one of the younger adults.

"I will return them myself. I will take them to the Mage's Guild, ensure they're delivered safely." Tara communicates.

The council continues, discussing details, strategies, plans. Their thoughts flow freely, ideas building on each other. They can think strategically, plan ahead, coordinate complex actions.

Tara watches them, feeling pride, satisfaction. This is his family. This is his pack. They've grown, evolved, become more than they were. And they are not stopping anytime soon.
