Chapter 29 Is There Any Spell He Cannot Use

Hearing this, Allen still wore a casual smile as he said,

"I am not as magnanimous as you. Even if you kneel down and beg for mercy, I will never let you off."

The killing intent in Samuel's eyes grew even stronger, and the atmosphere in the arena turned tense in an instant.

"So stubborn. I would like to see whether your body is as tough as your mouth."

As soon as Samuel finished speaking, his figure vanished from the spot.

When he reappeared, he was already right in front of Allen. His right arm, wrapped in magic, transformed into a sharp blade of a palm and thrust straight toward Allen's chest.

"It is the Demon Breaking Palm. That is an intermediate spell," someone in the stands cried out.

Before the exclamations had even faded, a deafening crash rang out.

Two dazzling golden orbs of light collided violently, and surging magic spread outward.

The apprentices in the nearby stands were blasted backward, many of them even falling to the ground, their faces filled with shock.

Allen stood calmly in place, his right hand extended steadily, forcibly blocking Samuel's Demon Breaking Palm.

And the spell he used was, astonishingly, the very same Demon Breaking Palm. It was a spell he had casually learned a few days ago when he took some time to browse through the tomes in the academy's Arcane Library.

Not only did Allen's magic advance at an unbelievable speed, his comprehension of spells also far surpassed that of ordinary people.

In the Arcane Library, no matter whether the magical tomes were low or high tier, he only needed to glance through them once to memorize the core incantations and the routes of magic flow.

In a single day, he mastered dozens of spells of different levels, from basic spells to intermediate spells, advanced spells, and even master level spells, with at least one from each tier becoming something he was proficient in.

Only master level spells required a powerful foundation of magic to support them, and he was not always able to cast those.

A moment later, the two figures locked in their clash came clearly into view.

The apprentices in the stands all wore expressions of disbelief.

"Demon Breaking Palm. He can actually use Demon Breaking Palm too."

"My god. How long has Allen even been at the academy, and he can already learn intermediate spells and hold his own against Samuel."

"This is completely unreasonable. The routes of magic flow for intermediate spells are extremely complex."

As soon as the battle began, the atmosphere in the arena was pushed to its peak. Cheers and exclamations rose one after another.

Augustine and the group of elders could not help but rise from their seats.

"Unbelievable. This kid's reserve of magic is like a bottomless abyss."

"He is only an Intermediate Mage, yet he can match Samuel, a Senior Mage, in sheer magic strength."

"His Sixth tier Intermediate Mage is definitely not an ordinary Sixth tier."

"Just to support a full power clash of intermediate spells requires far more magic than a Ninth tier Intermediate Mage can provide."

Augustine stared at Allen's figure, so excited that even his voice trembled.

Everyone marveled at the spells Allen had mastered, but only Augustine fixed his gaze on the magic flowing around him.

The capacity of a mage's magic core differed vastly from one person to another. Samuel was a First tier Senior Mage, and his magic core had long since been condensed and stabilized.

Yet Allen was only a Sixth tier Intermediate Mage, and still he could clash head on with Samuel without falling behind. Behind this had to be a magic core far beyond that of ordinary people.

Judging by the intensity of the current collision, Allen's magic core capacity was at least a hundred times that of Samuel's.

Only such a vast foundation of magic could support him in contending with Samuel at the level of a Sixth tier Intermediate Mage.

When his strike was blocked, Samuel was filled with astonishment. He had never imagined that a newcomer who had just advanced to Intermediate Mage could so skillfully use intermediate spells to contend with him.

"You have some skill. You even know Demon Breaking Palm. Then try this!"

He roared, and the magic around him surged and poured out. Incantations flew from his lips, and magic condensed in front of him into a long spear of gleaming gold.

A sharp halo coiled around the spearhead, and the moment it took shape, it began to emit a ringing hum.

"It is the Demon Breaking Spear. Another intermediate spell!"

The apprentices in the stands cried out again. Many of them had already stood up, their eyes locked on the platform.

This spell was even harder to learn than Demon Breaking Palm. It required extremely precise control of magic, and ordinary apprentices might not even manage to grasp it after years of study.

But before the exclamations had faded, the same golden spear also appeared in front of Allen, identical in form to Samuel's Demon Breaking Spear.

The two spears carried whistling gusts of wind as they slammed into each other in an instant.

In the end, both spears canceled each other out in the collision, turning into a shower of golden light that scattered and vanished.

"Damn. He knows Demon Breaking Spear too?"

"How is this possible? He has only been at the academy for such a short time. Where did he find the time to learn two intermediate spells?"

"Could it be that he has a photographic memory and can instantly grasp the core of spells?"

The discussions in the stands exploded into a frenzy. Even the elders leaned toward one another, their faces full of disbelief.

Samuel snorted coldly on the surface, pretending not to care, but inside his heart a storm was already raging.

Not only were Allen's spell techniques on par with his, his reserve of magic also did not fall short of him, a Senior Mage.

This meant that the other man's magic core far surpassed his own. They were not even on the same level.

Once such a person advanced to Senior Mage, his strength would surely crush Samuel. If he were allowed to grow, he would inevitably become a deadly future threat.

Thinking of this, Samuel completely abandoned any thought of testing him further.

His eyes instantly turned cold and vicious as he decided to pour out all his strength and cast an even more powerful spell to directly shatter Allen's magic circuits and eliminate the threat forever.

He rapidly chanted an obscure high tier incantation, and endless magic surged forth.

It raced along his arm and finally condensed into a beam as thin as a strand of hair, coiling around his forearm.

"Storm Slash," Samuel spat out the name of the move.

The beam instantly grew even more solid, and the surrounding air was sliced apart with a sizzling sound.

"It is an advanced spell. Samuel actually knows an advanced spell."

"He is getting serious. Allen is done for now. Advanced spells are not something an Intermediate Mage can contend with."

"There is no way he knows this one too. The incantations and magic flow routes of advanced spells are ten times more complex than those of intermediate spells."

The surrounding clamor abruptly fell silent, and all eyes focused on the two of them.

Soon, extreme shock replaced everything in their eyes.

On Allen's forearm, a beam of light also condensed. Its density and cutting chill were in no way inferior to Samuel's.

The two Storm Slashes fell at the same time with a piercing shriek that tore through the air, colliding violently at the center of the platform. A brilliant halo of energy instantly flooded the arena.

In the end, with a dull boom, they dissolved into each other and spread outward as invisible ripples of magic.

At the sight of this, everyone in the stands rose to their feet once more.

"An advanced spell. How could he possibly master that?"

"Even the most gifted apprentices need at least three months to learn a single advanced spell. How long has he even been at the academy?"

"Knowing two intermediate spells is already unbelievable, and now he can wield an advanced spell with ease. This completely defies common sense."

"At this rate, he might actually be able to contend with Samuel. This duel could still turn around."

The chatter surged back and forth, and every pair of eyes was glued to the platform, filled with shock.

The elders in the VIP seats exchanged comments about Allen's performance, their words brimming with praise, and then cast envious looks toward Eleanor.

Allen's talent had already surpassed their understanding. The elders secretly regretted that such a prodigy was not their own apprentice.

They were even more puzzled about who had spread the rumor that Allen was useless. It was utterly absurd.

Unlike the crowd's excitement, Marcus was also shaken by Allen's display, but he did not panic. Instead, he remained convinced that Samuel would not lose.

Allen's talent exceeded all expectations, but in the end he was still only a Sixth tier Intermediate Mage, while Samuel was already a Senior Mage.

In Marcus's view, as long as Allen had not advanced to Senior Mage, there was absolutely no chance he could defeat Samuel.

On the platform at this moment, Samuel had long since been blinded by rage.

No matter what spell he switched to, Allen could perfectly replicate it, even surpassing him in the finesse of magic control.

To Samuel, this was a naked humiliation. The learning talent he had always taken pride in now felt like a joke.

Violent fury churned in Samuel's eyes as he frantically gathered the magic around him, rapidly chanting different incantations. Spell after spell blasted toward Allen.

Allen, however, remained standing in place. No matter what spell Samuel used, he could replicate it in an instant, blocking or counterattacking with perfect precision.

One spell after another slammed wildly across the platform, light and smoke interweaving, until the entire arena was filled with nothing but the thunderous roar of colliding magic.

The people in the stands went from initial shock to numb disbelief, leaving only a sense of utter incredulity.

"Is there really no spell he cannot use?"

Those words spoke everyone's thoughts. The arena fell into a strange silence, with only the booming of magic on the platform still echoing throughout the space.
