  Light’s house, six in the morning. . .

  “. . .”

  *YAAWWWNNSS*

  Light wakes up and sits up on the bed. He immediately prays and reads Scripture for a while.

  Half an hour later, he walks out of bed and out of his room.

  *?*

  But as He walks past Lily’s room, he hears some strange noise. He puts his ear against the door.

  *sobs sobs*

  He hears sobbing from inside Lily’s room, and immediately opens her room in worry.

  “LILY?!”

  But once inside, he sees that Lily is crying to herself while holding a Bible. He was confused for a second.

  “W-What’s wrong, Lily?”

  “*sobs sobs* Light-kun. . .”

  Lily was crying as she turned her head towards him. Light walks closer towards her, and Lily shows him what he’s reading.

  In the book of Jeremiah, God said, ‘Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart…’.

  There’s more to the passage, but this part is why Lily was crying. Light smiles, and he hugs Lily tightly as she keeps crying. They both know the circumstances behind her birth, and yet God is saying that He knew her beforehand, that she was planned. They just stay silent as they absorb His word for a few minutes.

  Afterward, they finally get up and get ready for their daily activity.

  Convenience store, Light and Lily’s workplace. . .

  “I’m going straight into the storage to restock our stocks!”

  “Alright, I’ll clean the store immediately!”

  Lily uses her Time power to clean the entire store in one second, and it ends up cleaner than when this building was first built long ago.

  “Alright, Light-kun! I’m done!”

  “Somehow, I forgot you can do that! Help me restock, Lily!”

  “Alright!”

  And then she finishes restocking in under one second as well. When Light had just picked up a box of orange juices, Lily was already finished.

  “Done!”

  “. . .I feel like I’m not doing enough to get paid the same as you.”

  “Oh, c’mon, Light-kun! I’m only doing this because there’s no one else right now! I won’t do that when there’s a customer in the store!”

  “So, I guess we have some free time, right now!”

  “Yeah!”

  Light and Lily sit on the chairs side by side inside the cashier's register.

  “Say, Light-kun. . .” said Lily with a rather quiet volume.

  “Yeah?”

  “How much money do we have right now?”

  “I think we can survive without a salary for about 15 years or more if we keep our current lifestyles consistently. Runelt is paying us way too generously, but I am not complaining.”

  *!!!*

  “15 YEARS? THAT MUCH?”

  “T-That’s just a rough estimation. I didn’t actually calculate anything! It might be accurate or off by a few years. What’s wrong?”

  “So, basically, money is not a problem for us right now, right?”

  “Y-Yeah? What are you getting at?”

  “Say. . .”

  *Step step step*

  Lily suddenly stands up and walks directly to Light’s front. She puts her hands behind and her face turns slightly red and bashful.

  “Why don’t we get married already?”

  When Lily uttered those words, her eyes were really beautiful in his eyes. She’s looking at him as if he were the only person she ever needed in her entire life. He couldn’t help but take a few moments to grasp her words.

  Light’s face also turns slightly red. Seeing this, Lily puts her forehead against his and stares deeply into his eyes.

  *BA-THUMP BA-THUMP BA-THUMP BA-THUMP*

  Both of their hearts are beating so fast and loud that it feels like they can both hear each other’s heartbeats.

  Light suddenly stands up and grabs both of Lily’s shoulders, which almost startles her. Light looks deep into Lily’s eyes, and it feels like only the two of them exist in the entire world at the moment.

  “Light-kun, I don’t want anyone else. I just want you, and I can’t even think of spending the rest of my life without you.” said Lily in a quiet volume as if she were whispering.

  “Lily, I feel the same way. I can’t think of anyone else but you.”

  They keep staring into each other’s eyes for a few seconds in silence.

  *Smooch*

  And then Light suddenly kisses her on her left cheek.

  “But I don’t think we’re ready yet! A husband and a wife have different responsibilities compared to a boyfriend and a girlfriend. Plus, there’s the Judge stuff, so I am quite anxious about being married.”

  Light expected Lily to be disappointed by his answer, but instead, he saw that she was smiling.

  “I understand, Light-kun! It sounds like you’ve been thinking about it seriously for a while, just like me! That makes me happy!”

  *Smooch*

  Now, Lily kisses Light on his left cheek in return.

  “Next time, you propose to me, alright! And our next kiss should be our first kiss also!” said Lily as she put her index finger on her lips.

  Light smiles endearingly towards Lily.

  “I understand! It’s the man’s job to be the one proposing after all!”

  “Hm, wait a minute, Light-kun! What exactly usually happens when two people get married?’

  “Well. . . They started living in one house together. The husband provides, and the wife takes care of the house and whatnot. Sex. They are committed to each other for the rest of their lives. I think that’s the very generous baseline.”

  “. . .”

  Lily thinks to herself.

  “Wait, didn’t we already do all of that aside from sex?”

  Light takes a few seconds to process her reply.

  “W-Wait. . . You’re right. We’re basically living like a married couple already. . .”

  “So, Light-kun. . . Let’s just. . .”

  Lily was about to launch herself towards Light.

  *BEEP BEEP*

  *!!!*

  But suddenly his phone rings loudly.

  “It’s a call. . .”

  “F-From who?”

  “Guess.”

  “Rena-chan.”

  “Correct.”

  Both of their moods were ruined, and now they looked sad and dejected.

  Light answers the call.

  “What?”

  “Hm? You sound disappointed, Light-nii-san! DID I PERHAPS RUIN YOUR ROMANTIC MOMENT WITH LILY-ONEE-CHAN?” said Rena with a mocking turn.

  “. . .”

  Light doesn’t answer, and neither does Lily.

  “AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA!! I WAS RIGHT, HUH? YIPIEEEEE!!!”

  “I’m hanging up. . .”

  “AH WAIT!!”

  *!*

  Suddenly, they both heard Runelt’s voice on the call.

  “YOU ALMOST MADE HIM HANG UP, YOU IDIOT!! STAY PUT!!”

  “AAWW!!”

  *?*

  Light and Lily are wondering what just happened on the other side of the call.

  “Light! You there?”

  “I am! What’s up, Runelt?”

  “I just met the Third Judge pair just now!”

  *!!!*

  Both Light and Lily were utterly shocked by this information.

  “H-HANG ON A MINUTE!! ARE THEY THERE NOW?”

  “N-No. They left in a hurry because they sensed a Sloth case nearby.”

  “W-what do they look like? And what about the Support?” asks Lily impatiently.

  “The Judge is a man, twenty years old, with gray and silver hair. And his Support is a woman, as well as his girlfriend. An eighteen-year-old woman with red hair. She had a few arguments with my stupid sister. . .” said Runelt in a disappointed tone at his last sentence.

  “Wow, she never breaks character, does she. . .” said Light, monotonously.

  “What’s her Faith power, Runelt-san?” asks Lily on the phone.

  “That’s the crazy part, he has a Summoner type Faith power. He can summon a sentient armored knight, and it looked so cool! You guys have to see it! This also means that Seven Layers of Judgment have every single Faith power type on our side! THIS IS SO COOL!!” said Runelt excitedly.

  “Woohhh!! I am excited!”

  “I already invited him to the group chat, but he hasn’t accepted it since there was an emergency, as I said earlier. He also said that he wanted to come by to our hub, which is your house, tonight if possible!”

  “OOHHH!!!” said Light.

  “YYEEAAAHH!!! NEW FRIENDS!!” said Lily.

  Both Light and Lily are happy after hearing the Third Judge’s intention.

  “They’ll call you later tonight if everything’s good!”

  “Great news! Thanks, Runelt!” said Light.

  “THANK YOU, RUNELT-SAN!!” said Lily joyfully.

  “You’re welcome! Oh, right! One more thing!”

  “What is it?”

  “He said something about the Seventh Judge. He met him about two weeks ago in Australia.”

  *!!!*

  “The Seventh Judge?!” said Lily.

  “. . .”

  Light did not say anything. He was trying to suppress the memory of him hurting Lily during the encounter with the Seventh.

  “He said that the Seventh Judge and two of his friends are heading south of the globe!”

  *?!*

  “South pole? What for?”

  “He didn’t know why, as the Seventh never told him.”

  “Alright, thanks for the info, Runelt!”

  “Light! Please don’t do anything rash! Remember what happened last time!”

  “. . . I understand! I’ll head there with Lily as soon as possible! I will try to just talk to him this time!”

  “. . .I have bad feelings about this again, Light!”

  “Last time I was alone! This time, I’ll face him with Lily on my side! I’m just gonna talk to him! I’ll invite him to the gathering!”

  “. . .”

  Lily did not say anything as she was also anxious about this encounter.

  “I get it. Please be cautious, Light! And Lily-san too!”

  “Roger! You too, Runelt!”

  *BEEP*

  And their call is off.

  “. . .Light-kun, are you sure you’re gonna be fine?”

  “Lily.”

  Light turns towards her and stares into her eyes.

  “I’ve disappointed God by fighting with another Judge, destroying the neighborhood, and killing everyone in the area. I also hurt you in the process, and it broke my heart when I realized it.”

  Light grabs both of Lily’s shoulders.

  “I will not harm you ever again, Lily!”

  Light reassures Lily and makes a promise to her. There’s a determination in his eyes, and Lily can see that clearly.

  “I appreciate it, Light-kun! Thank you!”

  *BEEP BEEP*

  *!!*

  “W-Welcome!”

  “Welcome, dear customer!”

  A customer finally arrives at their convenience store, and they continue to work until noon.

  3 August 2018, Canada. . .

  *FLAP FLAP*

  *Thud*

  “Phew! We’re done here!”

  “Alright! Time to use the Sword, Honey!”

  “Okay, Darling!”

  Leonna and Veint have just defeated a 20-year-old man, who was overcome by extreme Gluttony. A demon suddenly possessed him and turned his body bigger and fatter. He grows five times his own original size, standing at four meters tall and 2,8 meters wide.

  The man was rampaging through the city after getting out of his own apartment. He destroys multiple buildings and cars with one swing of his fat, giant fist. But he mainly tries to eat everything that he touches, be it boulders, rocks, cars, lamp posts, electric posts, windows, and such as.

  Luckily, Leonna and Veint arrived before he could take anyone’s life. The police were informed seconds ago, so none of them had arrived yet.

  They both easily stopped the rampaging man and knocked him out cold. They carried him all the way to a nearby open grassland outside the city. Leonna was the one who carried him with her wings while Veint hopped on her back.

  Leonna stabs the Sword on his chest, and the sword turns black. Once she pulls the Sword out, the man suddenly returns to normal to his original size.

  “And then I just unsummons it and---”

  As soon as Leonna unsummons the Sword of Purification, the ‘blackness’ of the sword stays afloat in the air.

  “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!”

  And then it screams in a high pitch suddenly, hurting Veint’s ears, but Leonna was not affected. Soon after, the blackness in the air fades away quickly.

  “It’s just like Mari-chan said in the group chat! Demons are possessing people and transforming them into monsters. . .” said Leonna.

  “Though unlike the one in her story, this one got possessed against his will. Strange. I thought a demon could only interact once someone wills it to be.”

  “Seems like there’s more to this whole thing. Someone or something is trying to do a big move, and they are experimenting with little incidents like this. . . Am I being too paranoid, Honey?”

  “I don’t think so! This might be your Angelic instinct at play, Darling!”

  “. . .I have a VERY bad feeling about all of this, Honey. Like a REALLY bad feeling. . .”

  “I understand! Let’s proceed with our duty and keep this whole demon thing in our mind!”

  *!*

  But then Veint sees that Leonna is actually sweating and trembling. This is such a rare sight for him to see her act like this, given how familiar he is with how she usually acts. The strong woman who’s all smiles, joyful, happy, and throwing inappropriate jokes, is so scared, and this scares Veint a little bit as well.

  But Veint toughens himself up and hugs Leonna from behind.

  “Darling! Please don’t overthink too much about stuff out of our control! We have a God who wants our worries to be given to Him after all!”

  “. . .You’re right! I was being silly! We have the Lord! Everything will work out according to His plans! Thanks for the encouragement, Honey!”

  “Don’t mention it, Darling!”

  They both smiled to themselves. But when Veint was about to let go of his hug, Leonna pulled his hands and held them in place, wrapped around her stomach.

  “Now, now! May I ask what on earth you are trying to do, my Darling?”

  “P-Please, hug me for a little bit longer! I feel comfortable in your hands!”

  Veint was surprised; he was expecting some kinda jokes coming from his girlfriend, but instead, she was begging for some genuine attention from him.

  Veint couldn’t help but smile to himself and thought to himself.

  “(My girlfriend really is adorable. . .)”

  “Alright then! Please tell me when you want to continue, alright?”

  “Y-Yes, Honey! Thank you!”

  Veint continues to hug Leonna from behind as he also buries his face into her back. Leonna feels so comfortable that she feels like she’ll fall asleep anytime soon.

  After a few warm minutes, they continue, they let go of their hugs to fly away and continue their daily Judge duty.
