Kasumi points her right palm towards the sky above, and it makes Vega instinctively look above. He smiles as soon as he sees what is happening high above the sky.
“MAGNIFICENT!! THIS IS MAGNIFICENT, COLDHART-SAN! GIVE IT TO ME, HURRY UP!!”
About 100m above the ground, high in the sky, there is a purple lightning taking the shape of a flower, spanning over 250m in diameter, facing diagonally downwards towards Vega. At the center of the flower, there is a highly concentrated lance made of purple lightning, with a length of 110m. The purple lightning lance sparks large electric charges that spew out randomly in all directions in the sky.
“Kasumi style!!”
Kasumi swings her right palm down.
“THUNDERBLOOM LIGHTNING HARPOON STRIKE!!”
*ZRAAAAAARRRRRRRR*
She sends down the gigantic lightning lance from above towards Vega, who’s only 2 meters away from her. The purple lightning flower folds itself backwards, pulling the lightning lance upwards, before finally releasing it, mimicking the mechanism of a bow. The gigantic purple lightning spear moves at lightning speed, and it instantly reaches Vega.
*ZRAAAAAAARRRRR ZRAAAAAAARRRRR ZRAAAAAAARRRRR ZRAAAAAAARRRRR*
*ZRRRRTT ZRRRRTT ZRRRRTT ZRRRRTT*
*GROOOOOOOOOOOO*
As soon as the gigantic purple lightning spear hits the ground below, it explodes into a raging purple thunderstorm that zaps everything within a 300m radius. Everything that it zaps instantly vaporizes and disintegrates into nothing.
Kasumi stands still within her own thunderstorm, and it does not affect her in the slightest, while Vega’s well-being is yet to be revealed.
*ZRAAAAAAAARRR ZRAAAAAAAARRR ZRAAAAAAAARRR*
*GROOOOOOOOOOOOOO*
Kasumi’s giant thunderstorm continues to rage for two entire minutes, and then she commands the entire show to die down, and everything calmed down within matters of seconds.

Once all of the purple thunderstorm is gone, there is a giant hole on the ground with a diameter of 132m, and its bottom is pitch black; normal human eyes cannot see past the darkness. The entire snowfield outside of the hole, though now it’s just an empty flat ground since all the snow had vaporized, is electrically charged with Kasumi’s purple lightning. The entire ground, three hundred meters in diameter, has become a lightning hazard, and there are purple sparks occasionally coming out of the ground randomly.
Kasumi has moved away from the hole and is standing at the edge of the hole, and she sees no sign of Vega anywhere.
“(About one minute left in my Second State. . . If this doesn’t finish him, at least I already prepared a setup. . .)”

Suddenly, a fire as large as the hole on the ground erupts from the hole towards the sky. Kasumi immediately jumps back 10 meters in reflex.

The fire was incredibly bright, and it reached the height of the clouds.
“HEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! THAT IS IT, COLDHART-SAN!! YOU’RE AS STRONG AS I THOUGHT YOU WOULD BE!! RIGHT NOW, I AM SO OVERCOME WITH JOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!” shouts Vega as hard as he can, his voice cracked and trembled near the end of his sentence.
Vega slowly rises from the hole in the giant pillar of fire. Kasumi can see his silhouette at the center of the pillar of fire.
*FWOOOOOMMMMM*
*THUMP*
Vega propels himself forward out of the pillar of flame and lands directly in front of Kasumi. The gigantic pillar of fire behind him immediately disperses as per his will.
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! YOU’RE GREAT, COLDHART-SAN!! LOOK AT MY WOUNDS!!”
“. . .”
Kasumi sees that Vega’s right forearm turned incredibly red and is bleeding a little bit.
“(That gigantic attack and that’s all the damage he took?)”
“NOT JUST ANYONE CAN PIERCE MY BARRIER THIS MUCH!! YOU’RE A RARITY!! LET’S KEEP GOING!!”
“Understood!” responds Kasumi quickly.

The ground all around Vega suddenly sparks purple lightning wildly.
*ZAP ZAP ZAP*
Though every spark that hit his body was deflected just like previously, there was purple electricity flowing across his entire body, completely encapsulating him.
*ZRAAARRR ZRAAARRR ZRAAARRR ZRAAARRR*
A gigantic flower suddenly forms from under his feet, 25 meters in diameter. The gigantic flower quickly raises all of its petals, closing in and trapping Vega inside.
*ZRAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR*

Kasumi raises her right hand above her head, a giant purple thunder strikes her hand, and the purple lightning stays on it.

She moved her hand to the side, backwards in a position to stab him with her straightened fingers.

She also engulfs her entire body with her purple lightning and runs at the speed of lightning towards the giant purple flower.
“THUNDERBLOOM DEATH TRAP!!”

She strikes her palm towards Vega inside the flower, right at his chest.
*ZRAAAAAARR ZRAAAAAARR ZRAAAAAARR ZRAAAAAARR ZRAAAAAARR*
The giant purple flower explodes into another barrage of wild thunderstorms that strike in all directions randomly. The size of the thunderstorm is 70 meters in diameter and 120 meters in height.
*ZRAAAAAARR ZRAAAAAARR ZRAAAAAARR ZRAAAAAAR*
And the thunderstorms keep raging wildly for an entire ten seconds.

However, the thunderstorms abruptly stop as Kasumi realizes what happened.

Kasumi’s right hand was grabbed firmly in Vega’s left hand as Vega stared sternly into Kasumi’s eyes as a show of power and dominance. Her attack never reached his chest.
“HEAT KNEESTRIKE!!”

*BAAAAAMMMM*
Vega pulls Kasumi towards him and hits her belly with his knee.
“HEAT UPPERCUT!!”
*BAAAAAAAMMMMM*
Vega swings his right fist at Kasumi’s chin and launches her 20 meters into the sky.
*BWOOOOOOOOOOSSSHHH*
He follows after her and appears directly above her.
*WWUUUSSSHHH*
“HEAT DOWNSMASH!!”
He spins himself in the air horizontally and swings his right fist backhandedly downwards at Kasumi’s head.

Kasumi was sent flying down really fast, with her back hitting the snow and ground below, cracking the ground in a three-meter radius.

She shows no reaction despite Vega’s brutal attacks, as her body is currently so defensively boosted in Second State.
“(About forty seconds more. . .)”
*THUMP*
Vega lands right next to Kasumi on her right. She quickly gets up and creates two of her ‘katanas’ in both hands.
“Kasumi style, THUNDERCLAP DOUBLE FLASH!!”
She swung her two ‘katana’s as soon as she stood up towards his neck in an X-fashion.
*GRABS GRABS*
Vega catches both of Kasumi’s katana with his bare glowing hands.
*ZRRRT ZRRRT*
He crushes her ‘katanas’ with his grip, but Kasumi immediately takes one step back to prepare for another attack.
“Kasumi style!”
*ZRRAAARRRR*
She creates a new katana that has a more accurate shape and proportion to her actual katana, made of purple lightning. She places her lightning katana on her left side and enters her Iai stance.
“COME!!” said Vega with an excited tone.
*BWOOOOOSSSHHH*
“LIGHTNING IAI SLASH!!”
“HEAT ELBOW!!”
Kasumi vanishes from her spot and runs towards Vega at lightning speed. Vega times his attack and swings his right elbow towards Kasumi’s katana.
*BAAAAAAAAAAMM*
*ZRAAAAAAAAAARRRR*
Kasumi appears two meters behind Vega, while Vega stands still, already swinging his elbow.

*Ssssshhhh*
Kasumi’s lightning katana was destroyed and dispersed, while Vega’s right elbow turned slightly red and smoking.
The two of them quickly turned around and prepared yet another attack right away.
“Kasumi style!”
Kasumi imbued her shoes with her purple lightning, and a blade came out of the front of each of her shoes, 20cm in length each.

Both Kasumi and Vega run towards each other and meet in the middle.
“LIGHTNING HIDDEN BLADE!!”
“HEAT LAUNCHER!!”
Kasumi swings her right foot high with its blade, moving towards his neck, while Vega thrusts both of his fists forward.

Kasumi’s lightning blade on her feet was destroyed by Vega’s punch. He immediately takes another step forward.
“HEAT IMPACT!!”
He swings his right fist at Kasumi’s face.

He punches Kasumi right in her nose and sends her flying 50 meters into the sky.
*FWOOMMM*
His right hand catches fire, and he opens his palm. He lowers his right arm and raises it up above his head while keeping his hands open in the same position, with his palm facing the sky.
“BLAZING TOWER!!”
*FWOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM*
A pillar of fire suddenly erupts, 10 meters in diameter, reaching up to 100m tall towards the sky, lighting up the area with its intense brightness and heat, consuming Kasumi’s entire body in the air.

And then, after the pillar of fire raging wildly for a few seconds, Vega commands his fire to disperse, and the pillar of fire quickly disappears.
*THUMP*
Kasumi falls to her back on the ground, but she quickly bounces off herself up and stands up, landing perfectly on her two feet. She’s now standing about 20 meters away from Vega.

“(About 25 seconds more. . .)”
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! NOT EVEN THAT CAN PIERCE YOUR SECOND STATE’S DEFENSE!! I MIGHT BE A FAKE AT THIS RATE!! SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD’VE TAKEN MY SPOT!! HAHAHAHHAHAHA!!” shouts Vega in high spirits, even though his sentence is self-defeating.
“I don’t have time to humor your jokes! Time is running out for me! This is my last straw!”
“Hmm? Has it really been almost five minutes already? AAAWWWW MAAN!!! Time flies by so quickly when you’re having fun. Dammit!”
Vega enters his battle stance once again, with his body still glowing the whole time.
“Alright, Coldhart-san! GIVE ME YOUR BEST SHOT!!”
“I hope this can satisfy you, you battle-loving freak!” said Kasumi with a smile that was thrown towards herself rather than at Vega.
“Here goes!”
*ZRAAAAAARRRRRRR*
Kasumi emits purple lightning from her entire body that emits small electric charges randomly in random directions in two meters radius. She enters her Iai stance once more and puts her right hand on her left waist.
*ZRRRRRRTTTTTTTTT*
All of the purple lightning emitting from her body shrinks and gathers into her left waist, taking the shape of her katana. After her katana is complete, there’s no other purple lightning in the area left.
*ZRRRTTT*
Her feet are engulfed by her purple lightning, and it stays stable there, without being absorbed into her katana as well.
*ZRAAARRR*
And she also creates a giant purple flower made of lightning to bloom on her back, three meters in diameter, to act as a makeshift pair of wings.
“Kasumi style!”
*ZRRRTT*
Kasumi bends her feet forward and slides off a bit backwards in the snow.
*BWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSHHHH*
And launches herself forwards, moving at lightning speed once more. She left behind a shockwave so powerful and so big, it sends all the dirt on the ground flying off and ‘splashes’ behind her, creating a large wall of dirt, standing at 5 meters tall for a brief moment.
Vega sees her coming and instinctively crosses both of his arms forward to block. His arms are glowing brighter than previously.
“THUNDERBLOOM IAI DIVIDER!!”
*ZRAAAAAAAASSSSSHHHHH*
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!”
Kasumi appears five meters behind Vega. She successfully slashed Vega right across his torso again, creating a proper X-shaped wound this time.
*THUMP*
Vega falls backwards onto his back towards the ground below with his hands spread open to the sides.
“. . .Finally.”
Kasumi turns around, holding her katana.
“. . .”
She sees that Vega is still lying on the ground and walks forward to confirm her victory.
*step step step*
*!!!*
But after only three steps, Vega suddenly gets up on the snow.
*pant pant pant*
“You’re really great, Coldhart-san!!”
Vega stands up and turns around. He moves his right hand to hover over his X-shaped wound on his chest.
“This X-wound is going to be a very valuable honorary badge for me in the future! I’ll treasure it for as long as I live! Thank you for this exciting battle, Coldhart-san!”
Vega re-enters his battle stance again.
“BUT LET’S KEEP GOING!! GIVE ME MORE, COLDHART-SAAANN!!”

“(W-WHAT?? HE STIL WANTS TO FIGHT? EVEN WITH THAT WOUND? EVEN AFTER ALL OF THOSE SPECTACLES?)”

His entire body catches fire once again, but this time, his fire takes the shape of something that covers his body properly.

Vega has donned his Flaming Lion armor made of fire. His chest is covered by a chest piece that has the shape of a lion’s head, complete with its fiery mane. His forearms are covered by a pair of bracelets of fire. He wears a short hunting skirt that looks like fiery fur, wrapped around his waist. His feet are still bare, but now there are a fiery pair of ankle bracelets on his ankles.

Every piece of armor in his body has a temperature reaching 6000 degrees celcius, mimicking the heat of the surface of the sun.
Meanwhile, Kasumi’s Second State appearance starts disappearing, and after only a few seconds, she has returned to her original look, with her missing left arm.
Despair is written boldly in her face. She has nothing else to fight Vega right now, yet Vega seems like he’s just getting started.
