“Ei-chan, who is that woman?”

  Outside the CEO's room, an 18-year-old woman, 164cm tall and weighing around 63kg, is standing. The woman is holding a sniper rifle firmly without shaking at all, showing how often she has pointed her gun many times before.

  The woman has a pair of beautiful yellow eyes. She has long, tidy, smooth, straight black hair that reaches her back. Her bangs are short and tidy, showing a little bit of her forehead. She is wearing a tight white bodysuit with a little bit of black trim and black lines across her whole body. Every inch of her skin is covered by the bodysuit, leaving her head the only one left bare. She wears a belt that has small detachable pockets on each side of her waist. Her bust size is B-cup.

  She is holding a sniper rifle with a design that doesn’t match actual guns in the world. It looks more like a gun straight out of a sci-fi manga with such a futuristic design. Its body is mostly white, with the inner parts of the gun being metallic black, and it comes out from various parts throughout. The scope has an auto-lock mechanism, and any bullet fired from this gun will not miss its target. Though there are ways to bypass it. This sniper rifle is this woman’s Armament as she is an Armament type Believer.

  “It's been a while, Eissen-sama! What are you doing here?” asks the woman.

  “It really has been a while! I am on a mission. Kinda.”

  “Eh?? You’re still going on missions, Eissen-sama?”

  “Yeah, but this time, it’s different! What about you?? Are you on a mission as well?”

  “I am! As you can see, that guy hired me to defend him from other assailants, though you are not who I expected at all!” said Diva as she points to the CEO.

  “I see. So the group is still active?”

  “Yes, Eissen-sama! I am currently taking the role of the leader, but now that I have found you, you can take the role back, Eissen-sama!” said the woman with a smile.

  “Well, it was originally yours to begin with. Though I apologize, Diva-chan, but I am not going back to that life. Lord Jesus has already saved me and led me away from it!”

  “Who, Eissen-sama?”

  “Lord Jesus Christ! Basically, the creator of everything! The God that governs the entire universe!”

  “I don’t understand, Eissen-sama! Why would you wanna quit that life in the first place?”

  Eissen did not answer the woman.

  “What is she talking about, Ei-chan? Who is she?”

  “Now that you mentioned it, who is that girl, Ei-chan? Your new girlfriend?”

  “Mari-chan! She is my ex. Her name is Diva Valkryie!”

  “Diva-chan! This girl is the girl I’m working with right now, and currently, the closest girl in my life, Kobayashi Mari!”

  The two girls are silently staring at one another, while their minds go awry from what Eissen said to each of them.

  “Who is this silly girl, Eissen-sama? She doesn’t seem to be the kind of girl who deserves you!” said Diva.

  “Now, hold on a second, you filthy Underworld female! Who do you think you are, pointing fingers regarding whether someone is worthy or not?”

  “WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU BABBLING ABOUT, WOMAN? JUST SHOOT THE TWO OF THEM DEAD!!”

  The CEO suddenly shouted in anger, seeing that his hired assassin was having a laidback conversation instead of doing her job.

  “Welp! Work is work, Eissen-sama! Please know that I have no grudge against you or anything! I’m just doing my job!”

  “I understand, Diva-chan!”

  *BANG*

  *BANG*

  Both Diva and Eissen fire their firearms. Diva’s bullet went pretty fast towards Eissen’s head, but Mari is still standing in front of him, and she catches the bullet with her bare hand, pretty easily, despite the fact that the bullet should not have missed Eissen’s head. Meanwhile, Eissen shot his bullet a little upwards, diagonally.

  And he swaps himself with his bullet, appearing directly above Diva, just outside the CEO’s room.

  *DAHK*

  Eissen immediately does his spinning axe kick, but Diva blocks the kick with her sniper rifle.

  “You blocked my kick as expected of you, Diva-chan!”

  “Ah! Eissen-sama! Your insanely fast teleportation is bringing me back to those days! To those missions! I miss you so much, Eissen-kun!”

  “Diva-chan! What did I tell you again about watching your surroundings?”

  *?!*

  Diva looks down, and there are multiple grenades on the floor.

  *BANG*

  Eissen shoots a bullet towards Mari, and he swaps himself with it, appearing in front of her.

  *SIIIIIINNNNGGGGG*

  “URRGGHH!!”

  All the grenades surrounding Diva on the floor were actually flashbangs. They exploded and let out a really shiny light and an ear-deafening sound.

  Diva immediately jumps back two meters away from where she stood. She narrowly dodges all of the flashbangs, but her eyes and ears were both still blinded and deafened by them.

  “Urgh! If I weren’t an Armament type, I would’ve collapsed right then, right there! As expected of Eissen-sama! You’re still as tricky and experienced as ever!”

  “Diva-chan, I quit, and I am using those skills to help people now, together with Mari-chan right here! Our skills are still useful even outside of those missions!”

  “Is that so, Eissen-sama? But I have no interest in the slightest of being a goody-two-shoes!”

  “Then that means we have to stop her! Assist me, Mari-chan!”

  “Sure, sure! I’ll handle things that you can’t, Ei-chan!” said Mari as she smiles at him.

  “Thanks, Mari-chan! I know I can always count on you!”

  *BWOOOSSHHH*

  Eissen lunges forward at Diva. She is still trying to recover from her slightly blind eyes and slightly deafened ears.

  Diva aims her sniper rifle to her right.

  *BANG*

  And shoots it.

  “(Oh, right! Her Faith power!)”

  The bullet hits the wall, but it immediately ricochets towards Eissen’s head. But Eissen continues running toward Diva without a care in the world. He shows no intent to react to the bullet.

  *GRABS*

  Mari suddenly appears next to Eissen and catches the bullet with her bare hand.

  *BANG BANG BANG*

  Diva still has her eyes closed, and her ears deafened. She shoots her sniper rifle three times in three different directions in succession. All the bullets hit the wall but ricocheted as well toward Eissen.

  *GRAB GRAB GRAB*

  And again, Mari catches all the bullets with her hands with ease. Eissen reaches Diva, and he summons his baton and thrusts it at Diva’s belly.

  *!*

  Diva instinctively dodges to the right. Her eyes and ears have fully recovered.

  *DAHK*

  She kicks the baton away from his hand.

  “Let’s see if you’ve improved in your hand-to-hand combat, Diva-chan!”

  “Fine by me, Eissen-sama!”

  Mari is standing away behind Eissen, being on guard for any attacks that he wouldn’t react to. She feels a little bit annoyed every time he and Diva have a nostalgia trip to the past that she has no clue about. She folds her arms in front of her chest while she pouts her mouth, staring aggressively at the two of them.

  Eissen throws a punch with his right at Diva’s face. Diva catches his punch on his wrists. She throws a left hook at his belly. Eissen catches her punch with his left hand. He breaks free his right hand from her hold and swings it at her head.

  Diva suddenly twirls herself into the air, breaking free her arm from his hold as well. She immediately follows up with a kick to his face.

  *DAHK*

  Eissen blocks the kick with his right forearm. He throws a punch at her belly while she’s still in the air. Diva kicks Eissen’s hand and lands on the floor. She immediately swings her leg on the ground to throw Eissen off balance. But Eissen jumps a bit into the air, dodging her leg sweep entirely. He lands on the floor, and Diva stands up properly.

  “I see you’ve improved, huh, Diva-chan? You used to just completely lose whenever your opponent approached you off guard!”

  “Hehe! I’ve learned a lot since you left! You used to be the one who protected me from close combat encounters!” said Diva while her face turned red a bit.

  Mari stares at the girl with an annoyed pair of eyes.

  Diva suddenly summons her sniper rifle yet again. She aims it right into Eissen’s forehead at point-blank range.

  “Time to go back to my mission!”

  “Good attitude, Diva-chan!” said Eissen confidently.

  *BANG*

  Diva, despite having been acting very friendly towards Eissen, shows no hesitation when she pulls the trigger on her sniper rifle just now.

  “Yeah, there is no way I’ll just stand back there while you two are basically flirting with one another, and then you just decide to shoot him in the head abruptly?”

  Mari suddenly appears between them, holding the muzzle of her sniper rifle, and points it towards her own forehead, seconds before Diva pulls the trigger. The bullet was deflected towards a nearby wall and pierced through it when it came into contact with Mari’s forehead instead.

  “(W-When did this girl arrive in front of me? I didn’t notice her coming at all! Who is she?)” says Diva in her head.

  “Ei-chan! Why did you just stand there without moving an inch?” said Mari as she looked behind to Eissen.

  *!*

  But Eissen was not behind Mari. There is a tiny bullet lying silently on the floor where Eissen was.

  “Mari-chan! I was ready to swap places with the bullet from earlier! You’re worried over nothing.”

  Eissen suddenly walks out of the CEO’s room.

  “E-Ei-chan?”

  “Mari-chan, I had the situation under control! Don’t worry!”

  “As expected of Eissen-sama! You are always ready with anything, huh?”

  “Say, are you on this mission alone?”

  “Yeah, I am! Now, please die!”

  Diva tried to aim her sniper rifle at Eissen, but the strength of Mari’s hold overpowers her Vein Armor’s strength by a very large margin. She did not move her sniper rifle from her hold, even an inch.

  “W-What?? How strong is this girl, Eissen-sama??”

  “Hmm, let’s see! Think of the physically strongest member of our guild, Raven! Now imagine that he is a million times stronger than his actual self, and imagine that there are a million of those imaginary Ravens! Now, if all of those imaginary Ravens were to fight Mari-chan in a one versus one million fight, my Mari-chan would come out on top, UNTOUCHED!!” explains Eissen confidently with a smile.

  “T-THAT STRONG, EISSEN-SAMA? NO WONDER YOU’RE HEAD OVER HEELS FOR HER!!!”

  “(M-my Mari-chan?)” said Mari to herself.

  “Alright, nostalgia trip is over! I’m very thrilled to have met you again after all this time, Eissen-sama! But I have a mission to accomplish!”

  Diva suddenly lets go of her sniper rifle and jumps 10 meters away from Mari. She lands safely and immediately enters her sniping position. She summons her sniper rifle back into her hands and aims it at Eissen from afar.

  *BANG*

  She shoots her sniper rifle, but this time, the bullet that comes out of the rifle is completely different. A sharp red energy beam flies almost at the speed of light towards the center of Eissen’s eyes.

  *!!!*

  But as the bullet almost reaches Eissen, he swaps himself and appears next to Diva.

  “W-What? How??”

  “I planted a very tiny spybot into your hands during our close combat sequence! You never really noticed it because of your bodysuit, huh?”

  “Eissen-sama, you really are always ready for everything! However---”

  Diva suddenly grabs Eissen’s hand and pulls him towards herself, and places him in front of her. She immediately locks Eissen’s hands with hers.

  “—you probably didn’t know I learned locking techniques!”

  “Yeah, you’re right! I was completely caught off guard!”

  The earlier bullet that she shot immediately turns around and flies directly again at Eissen’s head.

  “HA! Liar! You sensed it with your danger sense, didn’t you? So, why didn’t you dodge?”

  “Because my life was never in danger!!”

  *!!!*

  *BAAAMM*

  *SSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH*

  Mari swiftly moves to Eissen’s front and punches the energy beam with her bare hand. The energy beam instantly dissipates, and Mari’s fist was smoking slightly from the clash, though it was unharmed.

  “See, Diva-chan! This is the kinda person I am with now! Your bullet moves almost at the speed of light, yet it's still a whole lot slower than her movement speed!” said Eissen proudly.

  Eissen suddenly disappears from Diva’s hold and appears behind him.

  *BRAK*

  “URGH!!”

  He grabs her hand from behind and pushes her down on the floor. He pins her down and locks her arms.

  “So, I actually planted two spybots into your arms! The other spybots have crawled over towards your back!”

  “Tch! I really am no match for you since the beginning, huh, Eissen-sama!”

  “All thanks to her!”

  Diva immediately understands that his word was pointed at Mari.

  “Ei-chan! I am confused! What should we do first?”

  “You do Judgment towards that CEO! I’ll keep this girl out of commission!”

  “Alright, then!”
