It has been three years already, and I’m fully accustomed to this life. I still had that small nudge in my heart that is telling me that I have no clear direction in my life, especially that guy’s last words, the guy with the Rock Transformation Faith power. His words still linger in my head as if I just heard them yesterday. Though everyone’s presence has shut that voice down a little bit recently.
All six of us have grown a lot closer to each other. At first, we all still act and hang out in three different two-person squads that work together towards the same goal, but now we actually look like an entire six-person squad that has been together for most of our lives.
Mission 552
We are currently setting up a temporary base inside an abandoned building in the city where our mission leads us.
“So, guys, for this mission, who is going to do it?? Or should we go together?” asks me.
“Hmm, the mission says we have to kill two Believers who were hired to defend a conglomerate in the city. This conglomerate was very corrupt, and his head is wanted by many political parties in the nation.” explains Diva.
“Any info on the two Believers?” asks Robert.
“The broker explained that it is a pair of twin siblings, male and female, aged in their 20s. They’re a new rising star and a famous name in the Underworld as well. No info about their names, though.” explains Diva.
“What about their Faith power?” asks Raiya.
“That part is easy. The male has a muscle enlargement Faith power, a Special type, and the female has the power to increase the temperature of her own body to extreme degrees, yet she isn’t a Transformation type nor an Elemental type.” says Diva.
“So basically, don’t get close to either of them.” said Martina.
“Then, Diva-chan, Martina-chan, Raiya-chan, and I are our best bet! That’s a lot of options.” says Robert.
“True! While Raiya-chan mostly is a close-quarter combatant, she has her heat beams for ranged combat compared to me and Raven, who are better suited for close combat!” adds me.
“Eh? If that is the case, why not just all go together then??” says Raiya.
“Oh, true! Since the majority of us are leaving anyway, let’s just tackle this mission together, Leader!” says Raven.
“Actually, we’ll all go, but only the four of you will engage! Me and Raven will stay put, and we’ll only help out if anything goes wrong! That makes our entrance add a bit of element of surprise, which I guarantee will hit their minds and spirits in the midst of a life and death situation!”
“Ooooohhhhh!!” says all five of them, impressed by my idea.
“I am so glad that we chose him as our leader!” says Martina.
“No kidding! He’s the most capable of all of us!” says Raiya.
“Not to mention that he is also the most well-rounded combat-wise amongst us!” adds Diva.
“Bahahahahaha! Please lead us until our death, Eissen-sama!” says Raven.
“Hear that, Eissen-sama??” says Robert.
“I-I appreciate all of your thoughts! Thank you, guys! Let’s head out, shall we?”
“ROGER!”
“Ah! Wait a second, everyone!” said I.

“What’s wrong, Leader?” asks Raven.
“Come to think of it! We’ve all been together for a few years now, but I don’t think I have ever seen you, Raven, using your Faith power at all during missions! You simply killed people with your two massive axes, and that’s it!”

Diva, Raiya, and Martina are all shocked at this revelation by me. Robert and Raven were the only ones not surprised.
“Wow, that’s right!” said Raiya.
“Eissen-sama is right! I’ve never seen you using your Faith power, Raven-kun!” said Diva.
“Yeah, what’s up with that, Raven-kun?” asks Martina.
“Uum, you wanna explain, Raven-kun? Or should I?” asks Robert.
“Nah, I’ll do it, Robert! So here’s why, everyone!”
Raven summons his two giant axes in his hands.

His axes suddenly have red cracks appearing on the blades of each axe.
“So my Faith power is called Sensory Axes, Armament type! When my axes are red like this, and I cut someone with them, they will stimulate their sense of pain, and it will cause immense pain to the poor person.”
“Whoa! That sounds useful!” said Diva.
“So, why didn’t you ever use it?” asks me.
“Errr. . . Leader! With these giant axes, I can just kill anyone instantly, so making them feel pain felt kinda pointless, so after a few months of awakening my Faith power, I just never used it. It simply makes no difference if they’re in pain or not! They’re dead anyway. . . I only ever use this when it’s personal! That’s all!”
Everyone thinks for a second and absorbs Raven’s explanation.
“Hmm, I kinda feel bad for you! You could’ve chosen different abilities for your axes!” said me.
“HAHAHAHAHAHA! Nah! Don’t need to feel bad for me! I am content with this! And I am content being with all of you anyway! HAHAHAHAHAHA!” said Raven cheerfully.
Everyone, including me, smiles at hearing Raven.
“Is that so?” said I, smiling.
“Alright! Alright! Let’s head out now, or else we’ll never be done with this mission!” said Diva.

The female sibling is yawning loudly without a care for her surroundings.

The female and male siblings are situated in front of the door, inside a long, luxurious, and spacious hallway belonging to the conglomerate. Their missions are pretty simple: do not let anyone inside this room behind them, where the conglomerate is.
“I genuinely don’t know. And it’s going to take a lot longer if you keep whining about it.”
“Awwww! BUT I’M BORED, NII-SAN!! I DON’T REALLY CARE IF THE MISSION TAKES A WHILE, BUT I DO MIND IT WHEN WE’RE JUST STAYING PUT, NOT DOING ANYTHING!! WHERE IS THE ACTION, NII-SAN? The male sibling is 180cm tall, weighs around 76kg, and his body is thin and slender. He wears a pale light violet gym singlet with a pair of dark gray, long training pants, a pair of white socks, and a pair of dark blue running shoes. He has a pair of black eyes and short, black, tidy hair. He has an X-scar on his right cheek. His name is Freed. He is 20 years old, and he has white skin.
The female sibling is 176cm tall and weighs around 70kg. Her body is slender and slightly muscular from all the activity she does on a daily basis. She has pale pink long hair, tied into a ponytail, where even her bangs are tied into her ponytail, showing off her smooth and beautiful forehead. She wears a black short-sleeved T-shirt layered with a white camisole on top, a pair of dark pink short skirts with a pair of white short pants underneath, a pair of white high socks, and a pair of black running shoes. Her bust size is D-cup. She is 20 years old with white, beautiful, smooth skin. Her name is Fray.
Neither of them has a last name as they have decided to ditch them years ago when they made the decision to live in the Underworld. With the way their Faith power works, they were mostly hired for assassination missions, but today is special, as they were hired as bodyguards instead. Quite the opposite of what they usually do. At first, they declined the offer, but as their broker explained that the job might require them to fight other strong assassins from the Underworld, they both accepted the job wholeheartedly.
“It’s only been 4 hours since we started. Calm down, okay? The guy told us that he hired us for as long as there is a price in his head. So, in other words, we might fight someone different on a daily basis! Think of it, like that!”
“OH!! THEN THAT MAKES THINGS DIFFERENT!! THEN I SHALL MEDITATE A LITTLE TO REGAIN MY COMPOSURE, NII-SAN!!”
“Yeah, yeah! Do whatever you want!”
She walks away, leaving her brother to meditate at the other side of this long and spacious hallway. The female twin is younger than the male by a few minutes, so she addresses him as the older brother.
The older brother, Freed, is standing next to the door to the conglomerate’s room, leaning his back against the wall. He crosses his arms in front of his chest, leans his head downwards, and closes his eyes. He’s resting and relaxing for the time being before trouble comes.

All of a sudden, there are three people coming through the windows, on the side of the hallway, on the other side of the door where the brother is sleeping while standing. Freed opens his eyes, and he also lifts his head forward slowly.
“Here they are!!”
*THUD THUD THUD*
Martina, Raiya, and Robert have arrived. They all landed about 20 meters away from Freed inside this spacious hallway. They all immediately summon their Armaments and point them all at Freed.
“Armament types, huh? Unfortunately, you can’t defeat me! And that means you all will never step even a foot inside this room as well!” said Freed as he pointed to the room next to him with his thumb.
“Huh? We’re not here for that room or whatever.” says Robert.
“Yeah! We came here for you!” adds Martina.
“And your twin sibling, too!” adds Raiya.

“What did you say?”

All of a sudden, Freed walks forward a bit from the wall, and the muscles in his right arm grow in size, reaching 50cm in diameter. It’s so veiny and pulsing a lot that it looks slightly off-putting.
“COULD YOU REPEAT THAT LAST SENTENCE ONE MORE TIME?” said Freed in anger.
“We’re here to kill you and your sibling!” answers Robert.
*BWOOOSSHH*
“DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!”

Freed’s leg muscles also grow bigger, and he suddenly lunges forward, reaching the three of them in seconds. He swings his giant, muscular right hand towards the three of them as if he’s swinging a giant baseball bat.
“MOVEEEEEEEE!!!” shouts Robert.
*BWOOOOSSHH*
Robert and Martina immediately activate their Vein armor and jump away from their spot. But Raiya stays behind.
“NOT SCARED!!”
She is excited instead. She prepares her right gauntlet and swings it at the incoming muscle swing from Freed.
*BAAAAAAAAMM*
*BWOOOOOOOOOSSSHHH*
Freed’s muscular giant arm clashes against Raiya’s right gauntlet, and the impact creates a giant shockwave of air that reverberates throughout the entire spacious, grand hallway, shaking all the windows in the vicinity.
“(DAMMIT!! HEAVY!! HOW STRONG IS THIS DUDE?!)”
“EEEHH? NOT BAD!! AT LEAST YOU’RE NOT ALL TALK!!”

“UUAARRGGHH!!”
Freed increases the size of his muscular arm even bigger; it is now 100cm in diameter, and sends Raiya flying away, overpowering her. She was sent flying back towards the window where they all came through.
*GRAB*
But all of a sudden, Diva jumps through the window as well and catches Raiya in her arms, stopping her.
“*SIGH* What happened to listening to each other?” says Diva.
“Well, the creed says to listen to Eissen-sama! And I was also trying to gauge his strength as well.”
Diva puts Raiya down, and she stands next to her.
“Well, still, thank you!”
“*Sigh* My plan to land the killing blow during the chaos failed now!”
“DIVA-CHAN!! RAIYA-CHAN!! MOOOOOOVEEEE!!!”
Robert shouts once again, warning them. Freed has reached the two of them, and this time he swings his right leg, which has grown to 70cm in diameter. Raiya quickly points both of her gauntlets towards the incoming kick and fires her two heat beams.
*BWOOOONNNNGGGG*

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!”
*THUD*
Freed suddenly falls to the floor after his kick, as his giant and muscular lower leg was torn off by the heat beams.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAARRGGGHHHH!!!”
He is on the floor, groaning in pain as he holds the stump of his leg, just below his kneecap, that was shot by Raiya. Robert and Martina suddenly appear behind Freed with their Armaments ready.
*RAATATATTTAATTATAATA*

*ZRAAASSHH*
“AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGHHH!!”
Robert quickly fires his UZIs and makes many holes across Freed’s torso, while Martina throws her black disk at his neck, cutting it open.
“S-Sis. . .”
Not even ten seconds later, and he dies immediately.
“Phew! He went down easily!” says Robert.
“Good job, Raiya-chan!”
“You’re welcome!”
“Let’s find the female twin and report back to Eissen-sama and Raven afterwards!” says Diva.
“Roger!”
“Nii. . .san. . .?”

From behind the four of them, to their northwest, the female sibling saw her own older brother’s dead body on the floor, surrounded by four strangers. His corpse is lying on top of a small puddle of blood that flows out of the many gunshot wounds and the cut-open neck wound he suffered.

Her facial expression is in disbelief, and her entire body glows orange.

Smoke is coming out of her entire body as the temperature of her body starts rising exponentially.
“What did you do to my brother?”
“Here she comes!” said Robert.
“Right!”
The four of them stand side by side, and they have walked away from Freed, the male twin sibling’s corpse. Everyone had their Armaments ready, and they all pointed them at her.
Fray, the female twin sibling, opens her right palm, and it catches fire.

Robert shoots his UZIs, Martina throws her black disks, Raiya shoots her heat beams, and Diva fires her sniper rifle.

She moves her hands so fast and catches everything that they shoot at her. Every single one of Robert’s UZI bullets was caught and dropped from her hands; the two black disks were caught in her hands, and she simply threw them to the side. Raiya’s two heat beams and Diva’s energy bullet simply bounced off her skin.
“S-She caught everything?” asks Martina.
“Even my barrage of bullets?” says Robert.
“Damn! This girl screams dangerous!” says Raiya.
“Maybe we should’ve killed her first before her brother!!” says Diva.
“YOU’RE ALL FUCKING DEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDD!!!”
*BWOOOSSHH*
Fray suddenly jumps towards the four of them and reaches them within seconds.
*BAAAMMM*
“OHHOOOORRRGHGHH!!!”
She punches Diva with all of her might in her stomach and makes her cough up blood.

The three of them didn’t even react in time until Diva was already hit.
