4 hours later. . .

  Light and Lily have solved five cases of lust today; there's still time until nighttime, so they continue their search and soar above the sky.

  "Say, Light-kun. . ."

  "Hm?"

  "You said that we have to knock out a person for the Sword of Purification to work. So, what about me? That whole thing when you entered my heart was different from what we've been doing."

  "Oh! That was a different usage of the Sword of Purification. It's called the Restoration method. If you stab someone with the sword while they are not unconscious for three seconds, a dome of light will emerge surrounding everything in a large area. However, it only works on someone whose negativity is overwhelming. People have different qualities of negativity, you see!"

  "Got it! I understand."

  Light and Lily feel something unusual.

  "Lily. . . I never felt a lust this intense."

  "Then, what can we expect?"

  "Something really awful."

  Light activates his Lust vision as his eyes start glowing pink.

  "WHAT?"

  Light was shocked.

  "What is it?"

  "The lust we felt is gigantic. A big pink aura is raging in this city below. Its size engulfs almost half of the entire city."

  "That big?"

  "Though from the shape, it looks like it emerges from a single point."

  "You're trying to say that it comes from someone?"

  "Possibly. Use Time stop!"

  Lily activates time-stop, and both of them descend to the source of the pink aura. They landed in an alleyway.

  "HUUUUUUUUUUUUH? OI! Why did you stop moving? You look like you're frozen in time. HELLLOOOO??"

  Light and Lily saw a woman sitting on top of a man. The woman was in the middle of unbuttoning the man's shirt, but out of all, they are most surprised by the fact that the woman still moves under Lily's time stop.

  "Light-kun, there are only two types of people who are immune to my time stop: a Judge or that man."

  "Correct, yet we just witness the third category."

  The woman lifts her head and looks to her front.

  "WOOOWOOOW! Who the hell are you guys?"

  The woman stands up and turns around.

  The woman has blond hair. Her hairstyle is a low bun, and most of the edges of her hair are facing upwards because of the hairstyle. She has a pair of red slanty eyes. Her bust size is D-cup. She wears a red strappy dress with black frills on the top edge that cover her chest further, a pair of black long gloves with red trims on each edge and black frill on her wrist that cover her entire forearms, a black fabric collar on her neck with red markings at the center, a pair of red skirt with black frill on the bottom edge, that is long enough to cover most of her legs, and a pair of dark red high heels. There is a crossing lace in different shades of red on her chest part, and slightly below on the stomach, there’s a crystal shape in the same shade of red as the crossing laces, with four laces that look like energy flowing out of its four edges. The back of her dress is mostly open and exposes her bare skin. She has six chains growing out of her back. All of her chains are roughly two meters long, and each tip of the chains has the shape of the head of an arrow.

  "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!"

  Light shouts at the woman.

  "HUUUUH? Oh, these? Well, this is my job, and these are the results of it."

  The woman replied with a smile and a proud look on her face, spreading her hands wide open.

  In five of her six chains, corpses are hanging. Each of the corpses is naked, and all of them vary between male and female, but the most noticeable thing is the condition of those corpses. The chains pierce through their genitals and come out of their mouth.

  "AREN'T THEY BEAUTIFUL? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

  The woman frantically laughs and shows her pride over her action.

  "ANSWER ME! WHAT DID YOU DO??"

  "To be short—"

  The woman puts one of her hands on her face, leaving one eye open with her tongue out as she stares at Light and Lily.

  "—sexual torture!"

  Light's anger spikes as soon as he hears the woman's answer. He blackens his entire face as well as both of his legs. He jumps forward towards the woman, and blackens only a small part of both of his hands, from his fist to just slightly past the wrist.

  "Car mass, REJECTION!”

  Light punches the woman right in her cheek, but without contact, as usual. The woman slides on the ground away from him, but that's it. She was not launched or heavily thrown off balance.

  "(Something feels off.)"

  Light notices the woman's appearance. Her veins are glowing red all over her body.

  That is Vein armor, a special ability only available to Armament-type Believers.

  Suddenly, Lily rushes towards the woman. Her hair turns blue, and her eyes have turned into her time vision. She summons her clock hand sword on her left hand and rushes with unreactable speed.

  Lily swings her sword directly towards the woman's neck, but then she suddenly stops.

  "Lily, what's wrong?"

  Light immediately senses lust coming from Lily out of nowhere.

  "Lily?"

  Lily immediately returns to Light. She leans on him from behind and hugs him tightly as she presses her chest against his back. Her face was red.

  "L-Light-kun. . . my body feels hot. . . I can't concentrate. . ."

  Light feels that Lily is shaking and trembling, not because of fear, but because of lust. Her breathing also feels heavy.

  "Lily, please sleep for now."

  Light turns around and faces Lily. He karate-chops the back of Lily's neck with his blackened palm, and she fainted and fell into his arms.

  "OOHH? Nice quick thinking there! A fainted person can't possibly harbor any lust. Not bad, not bad!" said the woman, praising Light.

  Lily's time stop breaks, and the flow of time returns to normal. He lays Lily on the side against the wall of the alley. Light stands up and faces towards the woman once again.

  "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!"

  The man who was frozen from the time-stop suddenly screams. He gets up immediately and runs away as soon as he sees the corpses hanging on the woman's chains.

  "(At least that man is safe now!)"

  "What did you do to her?"

  Light's tone got deeper.

  "ME? NOTHING! I JUST INFECTED HER WITH LUST!"

  "What?"

  "Didn't you hear me the first time? I. INFECTED. HER. WITH. LUST!"

  "When did you have the chance to do that?"

  "FROM THE BEGINNING!! Slowly and surely, and the moment I lost sight of her, I ramp up her lust, and she loses control of her body. Although, for some reason, I’ve been doing the same to you as well, but you seem unaffected. What the heeeeeeeeeeeeell is your deal?"

  "I see. I'm gonna capture you and interrogate you! You're gonna tell me how your power works!" Light intimidates as he crackles his blackened fingers.

  "OOOOOHHHHHH? I'M SCARED!!! BRING IT ON, HANDSOME BOY!!!"

  The woman enters her battle stance. She threw away all of the corpses that were hanging off her chains. Her chains start to move as if each of them has a mind of its own.

  "HEEEEEADS UP!!" the woman shouts, signaling her attack.

  The six chains on her back stretch and launch themselves towards Light. Light gathers the fabric of space on his feet and warps away, and the chains completely miss him. He appears in front of the woman and readies his punch.

  "GO TO SLEEP!" said Light.

  Light punches the woman in her face, without contact. The woman simply fell with her head facing the ground first, but the ground didn't break or crack. It didn't even create a crater, as Light has adjusted the mass on his fist to at least cause that much damage. The woman does a backflip and leaps away from Light. She lands on her feet and stands up again.

  "TCH! What are those black hands? I never see that kind of transformation." The woman complains.

  The woman commands her chains with hand signals. Two of her chains fly and stab the walls of the alley on each side. She grabs the two chains and pulls herself up to jump forward towards Light as if she's using a catapult to propel herself forward.

  "WATCH OUUUUUUTT!!" the woman screams.

  "(Tch! I haven't encountered that many Armament type Believer. If I recall, their armaments are completely indestructible and immune to any kind of Faith power.)"

  The woman grabs another two of her chains on her palms near the tips, and they glow purple. The purple glow forms a small blade of purple light. She swings both of her purple chain blades down at Light's head. Light simply stands still as his blackened hair to block the attacks.

  "FOOLISH!" Light intimidates the woman.

  Light grabs the woman's face while she's still airborne with his blackened left hand.

  *BAAAAMM*

  He slams her down onto the ground, and it lifts up dirt and dust that float above.

  After a few seconds, the cloud of dust and dirt disperses. Light is holding the girl down. He still grabs her face as he crouches next to her body. The chains on the woman's back have disappeared.

  "Who are you?" said Light with a deep tone.

  "YEESSS!! YESSS!! PIN ME DOWN HARDER!!! SUFFOCATE ME MORE!!! HURT ME MOREEEE!!!"

  The woman moves erratically on the ground.

  "ANSWER ME!!!" said Light as he gripped her face harder.

  "ARRRGGHHH!!! YES!!! GIVE ME PAIN!!! HURT ME!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!! YOU'RE THE BEEEEEEST!!!!"

  "TCH!"

  Light lifts the woman, and her body is suspended and hanging in his hold.

  "PLEASE HURT ME MORE!!! I’M IN NIRVANA!!! GIVE ME PAIN!!!!"

  The woman sounds crazier and crazier by the second.

  *SHIINNGGG*

  Light summons the Sword of Purification in his free hand.

  "If you're not gonna spill the bean, then I'm gonna find out about it myself."

  *!*

  "NO! NOT THAT!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! STOOOOOPPP!!!!"

  The woman suddenly freaks out. She summons her chains, and they grow from her back. Each of the chains is aiming towards Light, with each tip glowing purple, and purple energy gathers and swirls around them.

  "DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

  The woman screams as her chains shoot six purple energy beams at Light at close range while she is still hanging from Light's grip. Light unsummons the Sword of Purification and aims his right palm towards the upcoming beams, and they hit Light's blackened palm and get absorbed into it completely in a matter of seconds.

  "NOT FAAAAIIIRRR!!!"

  *BAAAM*

  Light slams the woman down once again to shut her up, but this time, he increased the mass on his palm to strengthen his slam.

  "UAAARGGGHH!!"

  The woman got planted deep into the ground. Light kneels above the woman and summons his Sword of Purification yet again.

  "STOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPP!!!!"

  "WHO ARE YOU? AND WHY ARE YOU SO AFRAID OF THIS SWORD? WHO TOLD YOU ABOUT IT?"

  "NOOOOOO!!! GET THAT AWAAAAAYYYY!!!"

  "ANSWER MY QUESTION!!!"

  "GET THAT AWAY!! GET THAT AWAAAYY!"

  "TCH!"

  Light raises his hand and is about to stab the woman with the Sword of Purification. The woman suddenly grabs and stops Light's blackened left hand with both of her hands, with her veins glowing red.

  "HHRRGGGHHHH!!! I DON'T WANT THAT!!!"

  "Futile!!" Light deepens his tone.

  He increases the mass of his blackened left hand to increase his power and weight.

  "HAHAHAHHAHAA!!! YOU SURE ABOUT THIS?"

  "What are you talking about?"

  "BEHIND YOUUUU!!"

  One of her chains digs down and moves under the ground. As it surfaces, it pierces through the unconscious Lily on her stomach. Light turned his head around and witnessed the chain penetrating through and out of Lily's stomach. He turns his head back towards the woman as his eyes turn vicious, and he grips the woman's face harder. The woman activates her Vein Armor on her entire body in reflex and fear.

  Light unsummons the Sword of Purification yet again. He clenches his right blackened fist as hard as he can while his other hand is still pinning down on the woman's face.

  "City Mass, COLLATERAL REJECTIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN!"

  *BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM*

  Light unleashes Collateral Rejection at point-blank range in her stomach.

  "UPH! HOOOEEEKK!"

  Even with her Vein Armor activated, the woman still regurgitates blood as her upper body and her legs bent upwards from the contactless impact of the fist.

  The impact of his attack felt underwhelming because the woman’s Vein Armor absorbed most of it.

  However, at the same time, the rest of her chains shot five purple beams that pierced through five different spots on Light's untransformed body part as he was on his 40% transformation limit the whole time.

  Light's left shoulder got pierced through, his right back arm and left waist got grazed, his right upper leg got pierced, and his right shoulder got shot through.

  "ARGH!"

  Light grunts in pain as he jumps away from the woman.

  He lands next to Lily, as all of the transformation on his body is undone. He endured the pain and tried to stand up. He approaches Lily and checks on her belly. The chain that pierced her was gone. He proceeds to hug Lily and pulls her head towards his cheek.

  "(Thank God the wound isn't fatal!)"

  Light took a glance at the woman. She is still on the ground holding her belly. She is still in so much pain from the punch.

  "*COUGH COUGH* HOEEEK!! EEEEEKKHH!!!"

  The woman keeps vomiting blood as she struggles to hold back her grunting voice. She keeps struggling to endure the pain.

  "LUXURIA!"

  *!!!!*

  Suddenly, a man's voice was heard from somewhere above the alleyway. He suddenly jumps down from above. He lands near the woman who's still moving erratically on the ground. The man crouches and checks on her.

  "What happened?"

  "UURGGHH!! UPH!! HOEEEK!!" The woman grunts and vomits, unable to respond.

  The man stands up and stares hatefully at Light, who is holding Lily in his arms.

  "You did this?" said the man with an angry tone to Light.

  Light blackens half his face and answers.

  "And if I say yes?"

  The man activates Vein Armor across his entire body, and his veins are glowing in gray.

  "You'll pay!"

  Suddenly, the woman grabs the lowest part of his pants.

  "Wait. . . he's the one. . . he has the light. . ."

  "WHAT?"

  The man crouches down and helps her to stand. Light also undoes the transformation on his face.

  "You sure he is the one?" asks the man to the woman.

  "Yes. . . I saw him. . . summoning it. . ."

  The woman still breathes heavily. The man proceeds to look around at the corpses in the alleyway.

  "Why did you kill this many? Remember that killing is not our goal!"

  "I. . . I know. . . I just had. . . too much fun with them."

  "Tch, you always do, huh? We'll retreat for now!"

  "Yes. . . my stomach. . . aches so much. . ."

  Light stands up while still holding Lily in his arms.

  "Who are you people?" asks Light.

  "It is of no concern to you right now! We're still far from ready." answers the man.

  "Elaborate!" said Light.

  "We're aiming to become the greatest evil in the world! We will be waiting for you, Seven Layers of Judgment!"

  Light was shocked that they knew who he was even without introducing himself. The man activates his Vein Armor and jumps above towards the sky with the woman. In the sky, there's a light that catches them in midair coming from a certain direction, and then they suddenly disappear. That light sequence happened faster than the blink of an eye.

  "What was that?"

  ". . .uhhh. . ."

  "Lily?!"

  "Light-kun. . . what happened?"

  "A lot happened, I'll explain later."

  Lily suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach.

  "UUURGH!"

  Lily puts her hand on her belly and moves it towards her face.

  "Blood? What happened?"

  "You got pierced by a bladed chain while you were unconscious. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you!"

  Lily's body glows in blue light.

  "Rewind."

  Lily rewinds the state of her body to the time before they arrived at this place, thus healing the wound on her belly.

  "Thank God!"

  Light smiles at Lily.

  "Thank you for keeping me safe!"

  Lily smiles back at Light.

  "Say, Light-kun. . ."

  "Yes?"

  "Is that woman also someone that a Judge needs to save?"

  ". . .Yes!"

  ". . .I see. I'll be honest, this job. . . is a lot harder than I initially thought it would be."

  Light takes a few seconds to think.

  "Alright!"

  "Huh?

  "It's time for the gathering!"

  "What?"

  "It's time to meet with all of the Judges and their Supports. We'll gather them in one place! There's a lot to talk about!"
