Chapter 41: Deep V Clothes, This One Works
"That chick next to him?" Ah Gou looked at Chen Tianxiong with a flattering smile and asked in a low voice, "Brother Xiong, isn't she just a girl? She's just pretty, that's all."
"Hmph, what do you know, do you even know who she is?" Chen Tianxiong glanced at him, "You’ll be scared to death if I tell you."
"Brother Xiong, you... you mean that pretty girl has some big background?"
"More than just big. I’m warning you, if you ever run into her again, don’t even think about hitting on her. Hell, don’t even *think* about it. Otherwise, don’t blame me for not warning you when you lose your life."
"Brother Xiong, then... who the hell is she?"
"Even if I told you, you wouldn’t know. But I can give you a hint—do you know the Du family from Meining City?"
Ah Gou’s neck shrank, and his scalp went numb. "The Du family, of course I know. Forget Meining City, even in the whole Lingdong Province, they’re one of the top noble families. Don’t tell me that girl’s from the Du family?"
"Hmph, the Du family? In the eyes of that girl’s family, the Du family probably isn’t even qualified to carry their shoes."
"Ah…" As soon as Chen Tianxiong said that, everyone instantly shut their mouths. In Huaxia, there were only a handful of families that could make even the Du family unworthy of carrying their shoes. Those were sky-reaching clans, and even the Du family wasn’t someone they could afford to offend. So anyone stronger than the Du family? Don’t even dream about it.
With someone from such a powerful background, it was no wonder why the boss had been so cautious just now. Luckily, he recognized who she was. Otherwise, if they had so much as touched a hair on that girl’s head, no doubt they’d all have died without even leaving ashes behind.
"Damn Bai Liangfeng, trying to give me two hundred grand to go after Zhang Yang." Ah Gou glanced at the bandages on his elbow and gritted his teeth. "Good thing I didn’t make a move, otherwise I’d have fallen for your trap. This debt—I’ll make sure to get it back with interest."

"Pretty good fighter, huh." Out of danger now, Qiao Xier looked at Zhang Yang with a strange glint in her eyes. Was this guy really a student?
One moment he’s a scientist, the next he’s brawling one-on-one with a street gang leader. That’s one hell of a range.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Zhang Yang glanced at her and quickly explained, "I trained when I was a kid."
"Yeah?" Qiao Xier looked skeptical but didn’t press further. "Forget it, there’s something more important you need to explain to me clearly."
"Where’s your inspiration? Don’t tell me those doodles are it?"
She tugged at her super short skirt, trying to cover her almost exposed snow-white round hips. Even though she was wearing safety shorts underneath, she still felt uncomfortable. If Zhang Yang didn’t give her a good explanation, she wouldn’t hesitate to teach this bastard a lesson. But her gut told her that this guy had his reasons for doing all that weird stuff.
Zhang Yang glanced at her long, snow-white legs and swallowed hard. He had to admit his plan was working. The only issue was that Fang Tianxiong had shown up too early. Damn it, he still needed four more points! At least let me hit a few more people before you jump in!
Looks like there’s no point going to Qianshui Street today. Four points short. Tomorrow he’d just have to grind elsewhere—assuming the beautiful senior would cooperate.
After thinking for a while, Zhang Yang looked seriously at Qiao Xier and said, "Trust me. By tomorrow—by tomorrow night at the latest—I’ll have an answer for you."
Qiao Xier pouted and sat in the driver’s seat, holding down her skirt. "Since you protected me today, I’ll trust you one more time. Get in."
Seeing that the beautiful senior wasn’t really mad, Zhang Yang felt relieved. "Heh, senior really is understanding. I’ll come find you tomorrow morning then."
Qiao Xier started up the A6, but when she heard Zhang Yang’s words, she stopped again. Turning her head, she frowned and asked, "You’re not gonna make me dress like this again, are you?"
"Uh, shouldn’t be a problem, right, senior?" Zhang Yang pointed carefully toward Qiao Xier’s snow-white legs under the steering wheel. "Didn’t you wear safety shorts?"
Qiao Xier instinctively looked down and immediately freaked out. Her skirt was so short that when she sat down, it rolled up, exposing a strip of her safety shorts. And though they were safety shorts, the material was thin enough that the outline of her panties underneath was clearly visible. Might as well have flashed him.
She quickly pulled her skirt down with all her might, glaring daggers at Zhang Yang before slamming the gas. The car shot forward like an arrow, splashing dirty water all over a nearby thug eating noodles. The guy froze, black lines all over his face, threw down his chopsticks, and shouted after the A6, "What the hell, what did I ever do to you?!"
Even though Zhang Yang was prepared, his body still leaned back hard. He turned to glance at the beauty beside him, noticing a rare blush on her face. As soon as she realized he was looking, she exploded, "What are you staring at? Let me tell you, if you want me to dress like this tomorrow, no way!"
"It’s fine if you don’t." Zhang Yang carefully chose his words so as not to set her off again. "With your great figure, senior, you could wear something longer. Maybe jeans or something. But…"
"But what?" The beauty kept her eyes on the road, her tone softening slightly.
Zhang Yang hesitated, then looked ahead. The road was straighter now, and there weren’t many cars. He instinctively gripped the handle and whispered, "Well… do you have anything, you know, with a cleavage or a deep V neckline…"
As expected, before Zhang Yang even finished, the beauty slammed the brakes and pulled over to the slow lane. She glared at him and yelled, "So all you ever think about is my body, huh?! If it’s not my ass, it’s my boobs! Do you have any idea how much I’ve sacrificed? What if I can’t get married because of this—are you gonna take responsibility?!"
"Uh… then forget it." Zhang Yang stuck out his tongue, shrank back, and tightened his seatbelt cautiously.
"Hmph!" Qiao Xier shot him a glance. "What do you mean forget it? Are you saying I’m not good enough for you?"
"Ah, no, that’s not what I meant. I mean, if you don’t want to, that’s fine. I won’t force you."
"You say you don’t want to, but deep down you still do, right?" Qiao Xier started the car again. This time Zhang Yang was ready, so his head didn’t hit the seat.
"Really, I won’t. I’ll… I’ll find someone else."
Hearing that, Qiao Xier went silent. The car slowed as they neared Meining University. After a moment, she asked quietly, "Does dressing like that really help you?"
Zhang Yang glanced at her. It seemed her anger had faded, and her tone had softened. He nodded. "It’s hard to explain, but I swear your sacrifice really helps me a lot. It’s genuinely useful. But tomorrow, I can ask someone else instead."
Zhang Yang thought, if it really came down to it, Gao Qi might be a good replacement. Worst case scenario, for that gene suppression, he might have to bring out his own Lulu. Damn, it’s not easy being me. For the sake of humanity’s future, the sacrifices I have to make…
"Oh." Qiao Xier nodded and slowly drove toward Qingyuan Hotel.
As they neared the hotel entrance, she bit her lip, hesitated, and said, "Tomorrow morning, I’ll come pick you up."
