Alexander had barely finished treating and bandaging his and Ocean's wounds in the treatment wing when one of the academy's messengers appeared to inform him that Lucas requested his immediate presence.
Guided by the messenger, Alexander arrived at one of the inner rooms of the academy's large library.
The moment he entered, a tall, strong-featured man—someone he didn’t know but had a rough idea of who he was—pointed at him and started accusing him.
Seeing that Alexander didn't seem to care about the accusations, the man shouted: "You dare mock me?!"
"Why—and how—would I mock you when I'm not even sure who you are?" replied Alexander blankly. "I'm not saying anything because I don't answer to you, but to this academy."
The man could only tremble with rage at Alexander's words while Lucas took over: "This is the current head of the Bunder family, Alexander. He is accusing you of killing members of his family, including one of our students who was involved in a recent confrontation with you.”
"I doubt very much he'd be willing to speak so much—or just pay some people to 'prevent me from entering the academy'—if he had any proof," pointed out Alexander. "So what's the point of all this?"
The head of the Bunder family was surprised a young man remained analytical during the situation.
He truly couldn't prove his accusation without admitting the family member went out to kill Alexander and didn't return.
"Even if he really has no great proof, the academy can't let a student's death end like this," intervened Lucas, who was deathly serious. "So, I ask: did you kill these people?"
"I—" began Alexander.
The instant he thought about distorting the facts, a huge shiver ran down his spine.
He immediately rephrased himself to use the uncertainty to his advantage: "I can't be sure."
"You can't be sure?" questioned Lucas. "What exactly do you mean by that?"
"When I left the city looking for a water flow to try to learn my movement technique—which, by the way, gave me a lot of trouble to learn, as its transcription is essentially wrong—I ended up finding and killing a group of people dressed as bandits who tried to ambush me," explained Alexander carefully.
His gaze then turned to the fourth and last person in the room—a beautiful woman wearing a white, lightly gilded, almost clerical outfit, who remained silent—and he continued: "So I think it's up to you to clarify whether those people, dressed as bandits, were or weren't associated with you."
Hearing Alexander's answer, Lucas looked at the woman—who remained completely silent—and seemed to get his answer: "The Twin Combats Academy protects its students as much as possible. But we don't have students who are cowardly bandits."
Lucas's answer was for Alexander, however, anyone in the room could tell, by the tone of disapproval, he wasn't referring only to Alexander.
"He is lying," claimed the head of the Bunder family. "Regardless of whether they were wearing supposedly suspicious clothes, there's no way they died without identifying themselves to resolve the misunderstanding."
"They didn't get that chance. I poisoned them without them noticing at first," explained Alexander. "After the poison started taking effect and they fell, I, who was watching from afar, unleashed my fully charged most destructive spell and obliterated them.”
Although everyone in that room had some life experience, the atmosphere became quite strange when Alexander finished speaking.
His way of handling things was very brutal.
Besides using poison, he didn't bother asking questions or showing mercy—just killed all enemies in a completely decisive way.
"I'm starting to understand how everything must have happened," said Lucas, who seemed extremely somber. "You may go, Alexander. I'll speak better with you when I'm finished with our 'guest.'"

If he had at least a fraction of his Earth emotions, Alexander would be rejoicing in the misfortune of the head of the Bunder family, who trembled with rage. Since he didn't, he simply went to his residence.
Arriving at his residence, Alexander confirmed it had become a bit difficult for Ocean to pass through doors.
This meant that she had leveled up. Which, in turn, due to her race, increased her size.
Passing through the kitchen, Alexander discovered there was enough food for him—as if Diana knew he was returning.
Walking through his house, he noticed it was neater and cleaner than before.
Entering his room, Alexander found Diana sleeping on the bed without covers and with her clothes messy.
She must have cleaned and tidied the house that day.
"Even my room is clean and tidy," thought Alexander looking around. "She must be quite tired."
Not wanting to bother her, Alexander covered her with a blanket and went to another room with Ocean.
His peace didn't last long. Shortly after he ate and lay down, Lucas sent for him again.
As soon as Alexander returned, Lucas—now alone in the room—went straight to the point: "What did you do, boy?"
"About what exactly?" asked Alexander expressionless.
"Don't play dumb with me," said Lucas. "I'm asking about what you did to those who tried to prevent you from getting here."
"Poison," explained Alexander. "Everyone who engaged in close combat with me was poisoned by a mixture of poisons I created using the poisons of two 2nd evolution creatures."
"I imagined it was poison… I just didn't expect you to use something as sinister as a compound," sighed Lucas while changing his evaluation of Alexander from brutal to brutally sinister. "The weaker ones are even having convulsions from lack of air while being attacked by chills."
"With all due respect to you, why should I care about them?" asked Alexander. "Did they care what would happen to me when they accepted the request to capture me?"
Seeing that made perfect sense, Lucas couldn't refute it.
He couldn't help but reevaluate Alexander again.
"He is talented, yet he is also brutally sinister," pondered Lucas while reevaluating Alexander. "He doesn't seem to actively seek trouble, but once his limits are crossed, he shows no kind of mercy to the other party."
Realizing Alexander would possibly be a huge and constant headache, Lucas decided not to think about the subject.
He sent someone to inform the city guard that those involved were poisoned.
After thinking a bit to reorganize his thoughts, Lucas seemed to remember something and ended up changing their subject: "Earlier you said you managed to learn your movement technique. Tell me more about it."
"It was complicated…" said Alexander, as if that answered everything.
Seeing Lucas looking at him strangely, he emphasized: "I'm serious. It was really very complicated… Mainly because the techniques you gave me were transcribed incorrectly."
"Are you kidding me?" asked Lucas, extremely serious. "Techniques from our archive are wrong?"
"I'm not saying all your techniques are wrong," replied Alexander. "I'm saying the ones I received contain semantic errors."
"Let me give you an example," said Alexander handing his [Asura Mantra] book to Lucas. "At one point, the first level of this book says an asura has 3 minds. In my interpretation, the correct would be to say it controls 3 faces independently."
"This seems a silly error, because in the end both are virtually right. But, it's the small silly errors like that which make learning techniques difficult, or even cause adverse effects on people," explained Alexander, who obviously wouldn't know all that if he hadn't received the knowledge about these techniques from the system.
"Where did you get this understanding?" asked Lucas after reading the passage Alexander mentioned. "You don't seem like one of those research students. At least I never saw you do that in our library."
"It's like I told you before," replied Alexander. "These are just the impressions I had when I finally understood the techniques."
"I see," said Lucas rolling his eyes. "Then perhaps you could note down these 'impressions' of yours to help our other students."
"I can't risk harming other students with my 'impressions' of clear conscience," replied Alexander. "If I had some high-level techniques to learn, perhaps I wouldn't have time to worry about trivial things like a clear conscience."
Lucas almost cursed Alexander upon hearing him: "He still dares to plead for more benefits after all the problems he caused us?"
As with other times, something seemed to prevent him from hitting Alexander.
"I think I can give you another technique," said Lucas.
"2 advanced techniques," requested Alexander before starting to slide through the room at high speed with his movement technique. "1 for each incorrect technique I managed to learn… I promise you won't regret it."
Lucas was surprised and a bit irritated seeing him generate and propel himself on a layer of water to show off and ask for even more benefits.
Alexander not only dared to ask for more, he also left a small water trail where he slid.
"Alright. I'll give you 2 advanced techniques," conceded Lucas, as if very displeased about something. "Only after you transcribe the techniques I gave you before according to your 'impressions.'"
"I'm fine with that," agreed Alexander.
"Now that we've resolved this matter, I have something to tell you about the month you were absent," said Lucas.
"Something important?" Alexander found it strange.
"Yes. Important," reaffirmed Lucas. "The academy will have a tournament among the students of the offensive styles of their respective years."
"Not interested," said Alexander, turning to leave.
