With so much new information to process, Alexander lay down and thought about it while trying to relax. But staying still for too long was difficult with so much energy circulating in his body.

  Not wanting to get up, he tried to use his skills to suppress the power that still pulsed in his body, but soon realized it would be impossible to stop this pulsation, as its sources were his two energy cores.

  Resigned to not being able to stop the pulsation of his power, Alexander forced it to slow down a bit and began to consider which items he should choose from his new class's {Skill Tree}.

  While thinking about which parts to choose, Alexander remembered he had maximized the skill |Gift|. And as he hadn't carefully seen its changes at the time, he decided to reassess it.

  "But that's no longer a problem," he consoled himself. "Now that my class has evolved, I can simply test it using a basic spell and see what happens."

  "I have to travel as fast as possible!" concluded Alexander upon thinking of the possibilities. "I need new dungeons! I need more points!"

  Feeling he had overdone it a bit, he forced himself to take a deep breath, regained his composure, and went back to thinking about his {Skill Tree}.

  Knowing he had 10 growth points left, Alexander carefully evaluated the pros and cons of each item in his new {Skill Tree} and chose |Elemental Water Blast|, for destructive power; |Mana Blessing|, to strengthen his spell base; |Vapor Mist| and |Water Field|, as he would need to train a lot with them to really be able to use them in combat; and |Frozen Water Heart|, as it would give him a wide range of possibilities.

  With his power increase consolidated and his doubt about how to spend his growth points resolved, Alexander proceeded to analyze the changes that occurred in his 2nd evolution.

  "So much strength... So much... power," he marveled at his own development. "My 'current self' could easily put an end to the 'old me' in a matter of seconds."

  "And to think this evolution isn't even the most powerful among those described in the Guild's glossary," he remembered.

  "But it was better this way," he pondered. "Even though it's not the most powerful, it's certainly the most versatile and complete for forming a good base for my future evolutions."

  Upon finishing contemplating his condition and development, Alexander went to the bathroom, filled a basin with water, took off his clothes, and began to check all his changes with the help of his reflection in the water.

  "This form's appearance hasn't changed much. It simply grew to 1.5m and harmonized even more into a 'Demi-human standard'," he thought. "If there's one thing that can be called a real change, it's its color change to a predominantly dark blue."

  Alexander was right, there were some small changes to his body, but the color change was by far the most noticeable. It was as if he had taken a bath in paint, starting from the feet, but when it reached the head, something prevented his eyes and hair from changing color, giving them only a deeper, darker shade of red, giving him an air of mystery.

  "Even with these changes, this form still can't be considered beautiful," pondered Alexander while thinking of the beauty standards that exist on Earth and those he managed to observe since arriving in this place/world. "It's at most 'exotic', which is already an improvement... But it doesn't explain why I feel enticed when I see my reflection."

  Intrigued by this situation, he carefully examined his reflection until he understood why he felt enticed in this way. "I... I can see the 'real me' behind the goblin features?!"

  Upon realizing that the face of his goblin form seemed to be synchronizing with the face of his human form, Alexander was quite surprised, as they should be very far from being equal. But looking for some time, and very carefully, he became more and more certain of it.

  It was like when someone finds a dear friend/relative wearing a mask. Their face may be altered and hidden by a "mask," but it's possible to identify them instinctively by looking into their eyes long enough.

  "This is very strange," he thought. "Now that I've noticed, I can no longer ignore it."

  Trying not to think too much about it, as it was impossible to completely ignore this fact, Alexander focused on his other changes.

  His main surprise came from his internal changes, as he had not only become denser and more robust without a significant increase in his weight and/or muscle mass, but also more malleable, which was quite counterintuitive according to the information he had.

  One last thing Alexander couldn't help but notice was that the "spear" of this form had increased and become even more disproportionate to the body size. Now it was practically the same size as its version in the human form, which was already larger than average.

  Upon noticing this propensity, he remembered the skill he received as genetic inheritance from the goblin race during the evolution. "(...). It seems goblins are indeed 'prepared' and 'programmed' to reproduce."

  Setting aside this last discovery, Alexander deactivated the transformation and returned to his human form to see what had changed.

  As he expected, his human form didn't undergo many external changes. His height increased to 1.75m; his eyes and hair received a darker shade of red; his body followed what had happened with the goblin form, though less dense and malleable; and there was no aging.

  His only real change was that his appearance could now be considered somewhat handsome. Because thanks to the increase in his (Charisma) attribute, his facial features softened a lot and became more virile, as if they were being polished by this increase.

  Upon finishing inspecting his two forms, Alexander was very happy that his energy cores were internal, as they didn't disappear when he returned to the human form. But he kept wondering one thing: "Why is my body so perfect in both forms?"

  Obviously, Alexander wasn't being narcissistic, as he lost any connection to the concept of personal vanity upon arriving in that world. The perfection he referred to was symmetrical perfection, which no body should have, but which was present in both his forms.

  While thinking about the possible causes for this, he remembered the evolutionary enhancement he chose during his evolution and concluded that, probably, it was responsible for this.

  "What a perfectionist enhancement," Alexander ironized. "But if it's capable of doing this, what can the other things I obtained during the evolution do?"

  Intrigued by the idea, he reverted to his goblin form and opened his status to simplify the names of some of its components, review his overall progress, and assessing his newly acquired elements.
