As the Watson family is walking, enjoying the greenery around the hospital, a security guard approaches them. “Sorry, are you the Watsons? Is your child named Lee hospitalised here?”
Kenji nods and places a hand on Lee’s head. “Yes, I’m Kenji Watson, this is Lee. Why, is there a problem?”
The guard shakes his head. “No, not at all.” Then, thinking of the message he has to pass, says, “Well, maybe there is; I don’t know exactly how you view it… anyway, I was asked to inform you that Master Bexy is going to need a bit more time. Sorry for the inconvenience. That is the message I had.”
Sue takes a deep breath and, when she lets it out, it comes as a sigh. “I don’t suppose you would know how much longer?” The guard shakes his head. “Okay, thank you for informing us.” The guard nods, then salutes before walking away.
“Mom, I’m tired!” whines Sakura. “Can we go back to the room?”
“Sure, let’s go back,” Kenji says with a smile, picking Sakura up to carry her back to the room.
Once they get back to the room, Lee and Sakura sit on the bed together and start to watch a movie on Sue’s holo-tablet; but not long after the movie starts, they fall asleep leaning on each other.
About an hour later, a nurse goes to the room. “Hello, oh, they look so cute sleeping like that!” she exclaims. “I feel sorry to ruin it, but Master Bexy-oxion has sent me to inform you that everything is ready for the examination; they are only waiting for you.”
Kenji thanks the nurse as Sue wakes up the siblings. “Lee, Saki, wake up; they are calling for the test.”
Sakura starts to sit up, but her head just falls to the side, making her topple sideways.
Lee starts by rubbing his eyes as he mumbles with both hands covering his face, “I just had a crazy dream, but I can’t remember it now.”
“Lee, honey, with your hands over your face, we can’t hear what you are saying,” Kenji says, lowering his head to hear Lee better.
Before Lee can repeat himself, he feels a jolt in his head but ignores it. “I said, I just had a crazy dream, but I can’t remember it now.”
“That is okay; it’s normal for that to happen,” says Sue, soothing Lee's hair. “Now let’s go.” Sue helps Lee out of bed, and Kenji has to carry Sakura due to her not waking up.

As they pass the nurse, Lee notices that she seems a bit pale and it seems she is confused; when her eyes meet Lee's, they seem to glow a bit red, and as she smiles, two fangs are noticeable. Lee smiles at her then looks ahead; then he stops, turns around, and looks at the nurse again. She is normal, with blue eyes and no fangs.
Lee turns forward again and shakes his head, and he rubs his eyes with the heel of his hand. His dad, noticing, asks, “Are you okay, son?” Kenji then looks back at the nurse that is following them.
“I’m just still sleepy,” Lee utters groggy, his head falling to his chest then bouncing back upright.
When they get to the room, Bexy is leaving. “Sorry, but I need to go to the restroom and have a quick snack,” he informs them without anyone asking; then he points to the nurse. “Please help the patient get ready for the test.” Then, before anyone can utter a word or sound, he is walking down the corridor.
As they enter the room, Lee walks straight to the chair… as for Kenji, carrying Sakura, and Sue, they head to the viewing area.
The nurse goes with Lee; as he gets on the chair, the nurse verifies that everything is plugged in before helping Lee adjust the helmet.
Once she knows no one is near them, she asks, “How did you learn that language? I can hear your heart and feel the warmth from your body.”
Lee looks at the nurse, confused. “I’m sorry, nurse, but I can only speak Japanese; I don’t understand what you said.”
The nurse looks Lee in the eyes then, with a smile, says in Japanese, “You are right. Sorry, I thought I heard you speak in a different language in the room.” She then steps back after clipping the strap under Lee’s chin. “Now, if you like, keep this up while we wait for the doctor,” she says, indicating the visor, then walks to the other side of the glass wall.
Lee sits alone in the chair with his thoughts. “I was speaking another language? How? Don’t I know only Japanese? And that language of the dream-like memory, what was it called?” Lee starts to ponder, a look of pure focus etched on his face. “English, it was English… but it’s nothing like the language the nurse was speaking.”
Lee turns his gaze to look at the nurse, his eyes narrowing so that they are almost closing.
“Looks like he is going to fall asleep again!” says Sue, watching Lee.
But the nurse knows otherwise, as she can hear Lee’s heartbeat getting a bit faster as he concentrates.
Then it hits Lee; his eyes fly open as he remembers what he said as he woke up; he remembers the language he spoke. “Latin! I was speaking in Latin. The dream was not a dream; it was a fragment of memory.” Lee starts to look around, but not actually seeing anything. “It was part of the lights I saw on the first test. And when I woke up, I was still connected to the dream and kept speaking in Latin.” His train of thought is stopped and he jumps as a hand lands on his shoulder.
“Lee, are you okay? Do you need anything?” Lee turns to see his mother talking to him.
At first, he is afraid to speak, as he doesn’t know what language is going to come out, so he just says, “Water,” in Japanese as he massages his throat.
Sue smiles and goes to her bag and retrieves a bottle of water.
