Emilio woke up in the office′s infirmary. He was lying in a stretcher and there was a doctor in the room. Emilio could see daylight coming from the window.

  He remembered that he passed out from overusing the Skill. Thinking about it he decided to decipher how many contracts he could do. As he started adding all of the contracts he signed, including the testing ones, he realized he passed out on the 133rd one.

  With that number it was quite easy to deduce how the number worked. After all, the Skill was mainly a Mind Skill and he had 10 points in the Stat, with a 1.32 multiplier from the Traits. That meant that he could use it ten times for every effective point in the Stat.

  Having an assurance in the number made him feel better and he could actually organize the contracts he could do each day with the number in mind.

  “Hi Emilio, how do you feel?” The doctor asked as she saw he was awake.

  “Quite well actually. Apparently, I just needed to sleep to recover. How much time was I out?”

  “You passed out a bit after 11, and it is almost 8. It seems that you needed a night of sleep. Do you need me to check your vitals? I was told you have quite impressive Stats and would not need anything from me.”

  Emilio felt his body with his Vitality and his head with his Mind. He felt just fine. He exhausted himself last night and it was shown by how much he slept, but that was it. He was normally sleeping between 4 and 5 hours per day because of his Vitality. So 9 hours was really a lot for him.

  “Don’t worry, I feel good. But I have to leave for my home before my family worries.” Emilio said as he got up from the stretcher.

  The doctor was really worried by watching him get up from it that fast, but he really seemed fine.

  “Do you know where my daggers are?” he asked.

  “Daggers?”

  “The System weapon, I was wearing when I passed out.” Emilio was always wearing Void by that point. The only times he didn′t was when he was in the streets as he had them in a briefcase.

  “The guy who brought you here said that it is in your office. He told me to tell you that you should be able to open it with your credentials,” She explained.

  “Oh, thank you. Today was my first day in the office.”

  “Now the message makes sense, are you sure you are good to go?”

  “Yeah, thanks for taking care of me.”

  Emilio left the infirmary and went to his office. It was locked, but he could enter with his office credentials.

  Inside he found the briefcase where he usually carried his daggers. He opened it and found his weapons, together with his cell phone and a letter telling him to call Milagros when he wakes up.

  He called her to tell her he was fine. He also notified her about the Skill limits, and they agreed to limit the daily contracts to 80 to not strain himself. Given the numbers, they would just do contracts on the night shift, and in the morning one he would focus on healing.

  Emilio tried to warn her about the pain, but she just said that she would find people that won’t care about that. They also had to test the limits of the regeneration, and this might actually be a riskless way to do it if the people were already hurt.

  Milagros also reminded him to text her when he noticed one of the test contracts breaking. They wanted to check if there was a distance limit and how long it took for him to notice. When she mentioned it, he realized he didn’t check the contracts when he woke up, and found that one of the test ones was broken.

  It was evidently a test they decided to make when he was unconscious. He would have to remember to check the contracts when he wakes up everyday.

  After the call, Emilio finally went home. Given that he was completely rested and had a high Body and Vitality Stat, he decided to run back home. He sprinted all the way and realized he was able to run on par with the cars on the avenue. He didn’t even get tired with his high Vitality Stat.

  He did get quite a lot of surprised reactions by his running craziness, but he didn’t care. There was only one thing he was thinking. He would not need to use his car anymore unless he had to take someone with him.

  In the end, it was not illegal to run on the street, it didn’t matter what his speed was and he didn’t crash into anyone.

  He got back home just in time for the breakfast delivery that he was going to eat with his niece. Amelia didn't even realize he didn’t come back the previous night. She was still sleeping a normal amount of time and he was expected to come back late and leave early for his extra shifts.

  Emilio’s day was once again in his normal schedule and he had his breakfast with his niece. During the meal another one of the test contracts broke and he sent a message to Milagros to notify her. So far everything was fine with the contracts and he seemed to receive the information instantly, or at least they were not able to notice a difference in time.

  After breakfast they went to the gym for their daily training. The TV was already installed and they could watch the broadcast right there.

  They decided to start the day with weaponless techniques that everyone needed. After an hour of training Emilio went to train weaponless with the dummy, while Amelia trained technique with the gun.

  The training schedule was slowly beginning to be standardized, even if there were changes due to interruptions. They already had the priorities and were following the schedule.

  The main priorities for Emilio were to learn how to fight, both with and without daggers. This included technique, combat and dummy training.

  For Amelia, she had to learn how to fight both with and without guns, but also to control her Energy. Given her results, she was really talented in the Energy Stat and she had to really learn how to use it.

  With these priorities, they could change the normal schedule with the specifics of their days. For example, that day was the second KimTec broadcast that they had to watch.
