Do we know where the Soul Reaper faction is at the moment?
"Yes, I know their location. It's not difficult to find them, especially with my connection," hope said with a smile. "I'll contact everyone using a message spell. If I make it a condition that only members of my race can receive it, every single one of them should get the message. Tell them to gather at this location—we're going to use mass teleportation to appear right in front of the Soul Reaper current base and propose an alliance.
Also, instruct them to unleash their spirit energy at full force as a show of power. We cannot appear weak, or our alliance will fall apart before it even begins."
The day arrived. Naturally, the only one who was not here was a certain person. I had forgotten them—no, I remembered. I had turned this person and given them the important task of finding new people to join our race. However, I lacked any information about them or what they looked like. I recalled their ability—being able to make others forget—and realized they had retained that ability even after becoming a diamond. Yet, they were absent. If I had to guess, they were meant to be absent at this moment, leaving me simply unable to remember their task. The fact that I even retained partial memory of it meant the ability used against me had left just enough so that I would remember their existence but not enough to identify them or recall any other tasks I might have assigned them. If I had to speculate, that person likely had a way to restore memories that they had erased, even from themselves.
Once we were all together, we used mass teleportation and appeared in front of the Soul Reapers' humble abode—a large temple in Tokyo. A grand one, too. Our combined spiritual pressure was immense, enough to create a minor earthquake. Well, to be honest, I was the one causing the earthquake; everyone else hadn’t quite reached that level yet. The Soul Reapers were immediately on guard. I smiled and spoke.
"I wish to discuss an alliance with your leader."
A familiar figure stepped forward.
"Oh? Is that Ichigo?" one of my allies mused.
Ichigo showed no hesitation or fear. Not surprising. He smirked and asked, "Do you know the method of being turned into an anime character?"
"Yes, I do," I answered with a grin.
"Then an alliance is possible."
The alliance had to be based on strength; no mere talk would suffice. A leader needed strength—not necessarily the strongest, but enough to command respect.
"Let’s discuss this in private," Ichigo suggested.
"Fine. Explain the process."
"It's simple," I began. "When you spin for a random anime character, the chosen character is summoned from a random universe—a random version of them. The ego of their soul—the outermost layer that holds their personality and memories—is then destroyed, and your soul is fused with theirs. After that, your soul is placed into the anime character’s body. However, the process causes some damage to the soul.
As a progenitor, I have the ability to turn people into members of my race. If I am not present during the transformation, I might not notice the condition of their soul. But if I am, I can immediately tell. Becoming a member of my race involves fundamental changes to one’s soul. If the other party consents, all it takes is consuming a drop of my blood, and I don’t even need to be present for it to work. However, the blood’s effectiveness lasts only as long as I am alive. Once turned, it's impossible to return to what they once were—the soul itself is fundamentally altered. But I can’t turn spiritual life forms."
"So, it’s different from the Evil Pieces system?" Ichigo asked.
"Yes. Evil Pieces corrupt the soul, aligning it with a dark nature and riddled with sin. They also change the body into a devil’s body. However, corruption is superficial—it simply adds a layer of 'dirt' to the soul. If purified, all changes can be undone. My process is different—it rewrites the very core of a person’s existence."
"I see you get it—Bleach, Soul Reaper? It wasn’t easy. The Phoenix Force and Lady Death had to team up to make it happen. Unlike most people who choose a random anime character, rather then undergo a test, and awaken an ability—which could be anything—I suffered no damage to my soul. Spiritual lifeforms derive their power from their souls, after all. They even removed spiritual beings from the random anime wheel because it was such a hassle to make me Ichigo.
Well, more accurately, I'm a combination of the person I was and Ichigo. This isn’t the case for most people who pick a random anime character. Usually, the ego of the summoned character—their personality and memories—is completely destroyed, and the two souls merge. The ego is what defines a person's identity, so when the two souls merge, you simply become a stronger variant of yourself. There will still be some lingering effects of the fusion, especially since the other soul is forced and no longer has its personality or memories. However, you won’t have their personality traits —at least, not their core personality or memories. Instead, there will be subtle influences rather than major ones.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Typically, when two souls merge, they form a new person—an entirely new soul that surpasses the sum of its original components. The rest of them had to complete a test to gain Soul Reaper powers, but they lost their physical bodies in the process. Every single one of them will probably reach Captain level eventually—if they live long enough."
The concept of aging in the Soul Society was unclear.
"Soul Reapers don’t age in the traditional sense," Ichigo remarked. "It’s more of a psychological effect that affects their physical appearance. They won’t die of old age, but their perception of themselves influences their form. Still, there were hints that they do have a lifespan."
"Indeed. Soul Reapers don’t age physically like humans, but their bodies are still based on human physiology," I replied.
"What about werewolves?" Ichigo asked. "They exist, but their physiology is likely different. Initially, they were human, but a curse turned them into the werewolf clan."
"I agree," I nodded. "I plan on building a Soul Society in this world. You already know this, and that’s why you want an alliance. It's pointless for immortal races to war among themselves. Unlike humans, we don’t have their short-sighted urgency. While that rapid development helps humans innovate, it often leads to their self-destruction."
I smirked. "So, what’s the plan for this Soul Society?"
He handed me a set of blueprints. "It’s not finished yet, but here’s the foundation. The soul society will slowly expand, but instead of spreading outward, it will expand all once. The neutral zone will house new souls, while different territories will function as kingdoms."
"Interesting," I muttered. "And the currency?"
"I guess I can create a magical tool that generates a limited number of coins per year to prevent inflation. If we use the same currency, it will make trade between us easier. We can also create magical tools capable of enchanting items to counter duplication. Otherwise, we’ll just end up with endless duplicated money."
"Makes sense," he said. "Wait, you can create Magic Tools that make other Magic Tools? Yes, but enchanted won’t be as powerful as when done manually. Also, let’s add a serial number—like ‘D’ for my kingdom and ‘S’ for yours—so if a coin is produced in your kingdom, it could say something like S ‘1 of 10,000’ along with the year it was made. If we limit the number of coins per year, it could simply state ‘1 of [total produced that year].’ I just used 10,000 as an example.
We could also use different materials: bronze, silver, and gold. Let’s set an annual limit—10,000 gold coins, 100,000 silver, and 100,000 bronze. That seems like a reasonable amount. I’m also debating whether we should add a platinum coin or something even more valuable later. Maybe 100 of one tier equals the next one up? that sound good"
"I do have Creation Magic, but it requires a thorough understanding of what I’m making so I can create some of the necessary materials. This blueprint has a lot of spelling mistakes—I’ll fix those as well.
Also, I’ll add a spell to bring the orbs to life and link them together with Life Chain. This means you’d have to destroy all the cores simultaneously, as the Life Chain spell will instantly restore a destroyed core. Of course, it won’t be a sentient creature; instead, it will consume spirit energy from the Soul Society itself to sustain its power. It’ll function more like a living object.
They say runes can theoretically last forever, but if the runes are damaged, it will weaken the enchantment—even if it doesn’t completely destroy it. However, since this will be a living construct, it will have the ability to heal itself. By combining these spells, we can ensure that the Soul Society is maintained indefinitely.
Each core will essentially be a living entity, allowing magic to spread throughout the entire structure. Additionally, since they’re all linked through Life Chain, as long as at least one remains intact, the system will persist.
That said, one limitation of my Creation Magic is
Sufficient information plus I can't make complex things since my magic is low Tier creation magic. We’d require a vast amount of resources that don’t exist in this world to successfully create a Soul Society."
"Mithril, I can handle—some noble clients ordered custom magic mirrors made of it. However, vibranium and adamantium are beyond my reach. Even mithril requires a lot of time to produce.
The rarer and more extraordinary the material, the more energy it takes to create. I could conjure a mountain of gold, but with the same amount of energy, I wouldn’t even be able to produce a kilogram of mithril.
My appraisal spell requires direct visual contact, and even then, it only provides partial data—just enough for my Creation Magic to work. But since those materials don’t exist in this world, it’s ultimately useless."
"What were those magic mirrors for?" Ichigo asked.
"magic phones there did Video calls. I planned to upgrade them to function like smartphones. But honestly, it’s better to enhance existing technology rather than create a magical version that might not be superior."
Ichigo nodded. "That makes sense."
"Unfortunately, my Creation Magic is low-tier. That’s why I can’t create complex things or materials I lack knowledge of. If it were high-tier, simply knowing about vibranium would be enough. But at least I can produce around two tons of mithril a day, though it consumes a massive amount of energy."
Ichigo grinned. "This will be interesting. Let’s get started."
