The 6 paths of Tantra

What are the six paths in Hindu tantra? Can you describe each of them in brief?

Firstly I will reprint from Net the different paths in tantra, then describe how it happens in my own words. Let us start,

Kaulachar – The Summit of Spiritual Attainment

Kaulachar transcends the conventional stages of spiritual progression; it represents a pinnacle that one cannot merely enter through dedicated practices or sadhanas. Accessing this path necessitates the accumulation of virtuous impressions from past lives, the Grace of a Kaul Guru, and divine permission. Eminent personalities such as Sri Bamakhyapa, Sadhak Ramprasad, Swami Nigomananda Saraswati, Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansa, Krishnanda Agombagish, and others stand as living embodiments of true Kaulas, embodying the sublime ideals of this rare and advanced spiritual state.

My interpretation- This happens when there are specific yogas in the chart. They are-

The 8th,12th and also fairly 4th houses and their lords are overactive, also Ketu connected to them being powerful, by being in sagittarius, scorpio, in own nakshatras, conjunct with powerful male planets; most planets in water signs or in 4th, 8th or 12th natural zodiac signs, ie, cancer, scorpio or pisces; more planets in 9th house ie the house of dharma,Jupiter and Venus as Kulagurus in 9th house helps. Planets in Anapha yoga,ie in 12th houses from moon, Rahu or Ketu with strong moon, strong Saturn in 8th house in Vedic astrology. Saturn in 12th house aesthetic or in 9th house or Mercury in 8th house denoting deals with metaphysical problems or Uranus in 3rd or 1st house deals with occult in western astrology.

Vedachar – Foundational Discipline of Ritual Worship

Vedachar serves as the initial discipline, beckoning the Sadhaka to embark on a journey of worship through unwavering adherence to Vedic, smarta, and puranic rituals. This disciplined approach lays the groundwork for a life of regulated spiritual practice, emphasizing the significance of understanding and honoring sacred traditions.

My explanation- This may be followed by anyone, and those who see no other option to revive from illness, debts, shortage of money, want of name or fame, as a way to gain money be be pundit, does or follows this path. The Vedas are full of materialistic approach, even Vedanta doesn't give any direct manifestation by which we can get siddhis or related Brahmagyan for liberation. Even Shakti if preached through Navadurga approach, will not manifest the related chakras needed for Shakshat Siddhi.

Vaishnavachar – Surrendering to Lord Vishnu

In Vaishnavachar, the Sadhaka commences Vaishnav Sadhana, rooted in Vedic principles. They diligently observe regulations prescribed by the shastras and wholeheartedly worship Lord Vishnu, surrendering all karma to Him. Prohibiting night-time Japa during this phase, Vaishnavachar emphasizes devotion and adherence to Vedic principles in the pursuit of spiritual evolution.

My explanation- Vishnukranta tantric path is excellent, as Nayika Namavali sadhanas, chant Brahmand purana mantras are classy, sadhana by Pravash khanda for pleasing Radha or Ujjwal Neelmani for Pannag or male associates of Nayikas, even Narayani, Vaisnavi,Brahmani, Narasinghi, Varahi, Kaumari and other Dasamatrikas are ways to please Mahamaya or is true Tantra path.

Shaivachar – Worshiping Lord Shiva and Ashtanga Yoga

Shaivachar involves the Sadhaka’s worship of Lord Shiva while adhering to Vedic discipline and surrendering everything at the feet of Lord Shiva. Simultaneously, the practitioner engages in the critical practice of Ashtanga Yoga, playing a vital role in advancing to higher achars. This stage integrates devotion with yogic practices to foster spiritual growth.

My explanation- The different bhairavs are to be manifested by this, even Shiva is a bhairav with Kaumari bhairavi; here only Vedic path word is written, but Aghor tantra is the right path, all maili vidyas can be achieved indirectly by this, if anyone needs liberation, then also few sadhanas such as Dandapani Viprachitta, Jagannath, Aghora, Vishwanath etc can be preached, Jalandhar and Swayambhuv bhairav can give strength, Sundarananda bhairav can give wealth etc, for gaining of vital energy or health Virupaksha or Pramasiddhi bhairav and Vaidyanath, Akash bhairav for fruitfulness, Kaal bhairav for dharma, Unmatt bhairav for partner etc.

Dakshinachar – Rigorous Adherence to Vedic Norms

Named after the venerable Rishi Dakshinamurti, Dakshinachar demands the Sadhaka’s strict adherence to Vedic norms. Having reached a level of proficiency called ‘Vijaya,’ the Sadhaka may perform Japa at night. Prior achars focused on purifying the physical body and the inner soul, while Dakshinachar elevates the seeker’s commitment (‘Nistha’) from a subtler to a more profound form, incorporating ‘Shastra Adhyan’ or the study of scriptures into their Sadhana.

  My explanation- Actually, there are except Shushumna erotizing vessel, which runs midway, is right handed Eda erotizing vessel, which is downward or reproductive organ or Vishnu related objectives, the preacher with this guna, wants to adhere to love or rather Bhakti than to use determination for being a tantrasadhak in a true sense; while a person with left handed erotizing vessel Eda of higher Brahma in Brahmalok activated, would do Tapas and penance and related vigorous hard Tantra practices from inside,by practicing how can he bring mahamaya in real life to be in chakra so as to gain her and her feminine sub forms or a specific objective. So it is left handed path as described below;

Vamachar – The Sacred and Esoteric Discipline

Vamachar is a sacred and esoteric discipline, accessible only under the guidance of a revered Guru, known as ‘GURUMUKHI Vidya.’ Involving daytime worship of Devi, strict adherence to Brahmacharya (celibacy) principles, and night-time worship of Devi in a reverse Achar using ‘Panchamakara,’ this path signifies profound sacredness, emphasizing the necessity of Guru guidance for its practice.

My explanation- Vamachar, if written in destiny, will become Kaulachar. What it is, is described previously.

Siddhantachar – The Culmination of Spiritual Mastery

After mastering both Dakshinachar and Vamachar, the Sadhaka attains Siddhantachar. Having experienced and understood both paths, the practitioner reaches a point of self-reconciliation. Mastering the art of ‘Bhogecha Mokshecha,’ they attain the zenith of experiencing both worldly and spiritual pleasures. From this stage, their journey toward the divine or enlightenment commences, marking the culmination of profound spiritual mastery and self-realization.

My explanation- The person who has attained both Bhaktiyog and Gyanyog, like a cow feeding on all types of cereals, gives the best quality of milk, they are in the path of Bhoga like Brahma and love, for all jeeva and almighty alike like Vishnu. May this help you. If some planets are into occult like 8th house, 12th house and Ketu related, and some are into 9th house denoting dharma, while Saturn may be in 9th house in vedic astrology denoting unattachment, this allround yoga for this path may happen. May this help you.
