Chapter 19 & 20

  Chapter 19

[Next Chapter – Critical Moments Collide Inside and Outside the Arena]

The arena roared. The cheers of the spectators grew deafening. The final Beast representative match would decide who advanced to the grand final.

[Climactic Battle – Beast vs Shao Moon’s Disciple]

Korvax, the last fighter from the Beasts faction—a half-human, half-wolf creature with a second heart pulsing as a black crystal embedded in his chest—stepped into the ring.

His opponent: Kaizen, Shao Moon’s disciple, wielder of air-pressure manipulation and mental-field control.

Kaizen moved with silent rhythm. Each step sharply increased the surrounding air pressure.

Korvax leapt ferociously, claws blazing with fiery aura. Yet every strike was suppressed, dragged downward by Kaizen’s psychic field as if gravity itself had turned against him.

At a critical instant, Korvax unleashed a primal howl—summoning the spirit of an ancient wolf warrior. For a brief moment, he broke free from Kaizen’s mental hold.

  They clashed with savage intensity.

Finally, Kaizen sealed Korvax using a gravity-lock technique, trapping him within a pocket of static time.

  Victory: Shao Moon’s disciple.

[Outside the Arena – A Minor Betrayal]

  Meanwhile, beyond the ring…

Fran walked alone toward the resting chamber.

  Suddenly—an ambush.

An alien-camp participant attacked him, now revealed to be controlled by a small Syavadark parasite.

Fran fought back, but the opponent’s unnatural mutations and bursts of dark aura forced him into a stagger.

  Then—

  Shinin appeared.

A moon-marked shuriken flashed through the air, striking the attacker and knocking Fran clear of danger.

  Shinin:

“Don’t worry. I won’t let you face this alone.”

  Fran (smiling faintly):

“So… now it’s your turn to save me?”

[Complication – Darkening Aura, Side Quest Triggered]

In the VIP spectator section, Aisha suddenly clutched her head. Her eyes brightened, glowing with mysterious symbols.

  Aisha (whispering):

“…That aura. Something is infiltrating our dimensional space. This isn’t part of the tournament.”

  Hasyalys appeared beside her.

  Hasyalys:

“You feel it too? Something’s disturbing this world layer.”

Aisha checked the holographic data projected from her wrist device.

Main Quest Updated: Syavadark Presence Confirmed in Tournament Zone

  [Attack – Dark Sky Targeted]

In a side corridor, Dark Sky—Aisha’s younger stepbrother—was playing with his gadgets.

Without warning, a black, Venom-like creature lunged at him, attempting to merge with his body as a new host.

Aisha leapt forward, deflecting the entity with her searing elf-light aura.

  Aisha:

“Don’t you dare touch my brother!”

The creature shrieked and recoiled, morphing midair into a mass of writhing dark tendrils.

[Team Convergence – Battle Against the Parasite]

Fran and Shinin arrived from opposite ends of the corridor.

  Fran:

“We destroy it before it evolves into a full parasite!”

Hasyalys rushed in, swiftly borrowing Aisha’s silver-glowing rune blade.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

  Hasyalys (murmuring):

“Sorry, Aisha. Let me test something…”

With a combination of Vampire Typhoon Kick and Claw Mayhem, Hasyalys vaulted upward and delivered a single slash infused with crimson and violet light.

The parasitic creature exploded into a cloud of dark smoke—then disintegrated into fine dust.

  [Remnants – For Research]

Dr. Nadia arrived carrying a small vacuum capsule, carefully collecting the parasite’s remains.

  Dr. Nadia:

“Tonight… we study this together, Hasyalys. Perhaps we can create a prevention or detection device before these parasites claim another host.”

[End of Chapter – Preparations for the Final]

The tournament advanced toward its final stage.

The arena was cleansed. The participants grew increasingly cautious.

Syavadark was no longer legend—but reality.

And Aisha, Hasyalys, and Nadia now carried a new mission:

To uncover the conspiracy of dark parasites and the abduction of true hosts replaced by impostors.

  Chapter 20

[Final Chapter – The Championship Battle: A Champion is Born]

The grand arena shimmered beneath the night lights.

The crowd stood, cheering in anticipation of the final match.

Fran’s name echoed across the stadium.

His opponent: Ravun Vahl—an elite masked warrior from an off-world faction. A black-clad shadow swordsman wielding multidirectional attack manipulation and blinding shadow-speed techniques.

  [The Match Begins]

Fran stood calm, eyes sharp with focus.

Around his neck hung the chain gifted by his mother, Lysa.

From the royal platform, Lysa watched, hand pressed to her chest—pride and anxiety intertwined.

  Ravun struck first.

Compressed air pressure detonated forward, shaking the arena. Dust spiraled skyward.

Fran evaded fluidly, gliding like water itself—combining Vampire Typhoon Kick with Shinin’s Phantom Step.

[Combo Techniques – Battle Turns Epic]

Fran unleashed a relentless sequence of techniques taught by his mentors:

  Shinin: Moon Mirage Slash

  Zedwan: Heaven Fang Uppercut

  Liu Kei: Phoenix Palm Thrust

  Lysa: Claw Mayhem Chain Combo

  Finally—

Fran activated 100% of his dhampir power.

His eyes blazed dark violet. A phoenix-like aura ignited behind him.

Ravun attempted to end the fight with a lethal shadow assault—flying through the air with gravity control, attacking from every direction at storm-like speed.

  But Fran—

  Vanished.

Then reappeared behind Ravun like a bolt of Ching Lee’s lightning.

  Fran:

  “Final combination technique…”

  “Vampire Phoenix Spiral Fang!”

A spiraling kick erupted with fire and radiant light shaped like fangs.

The arena space fractured under the force.

Ravun Vahl was hurled beyond the boundary circle.

The crowd exploded in thunderous cheers.

  [The Champion Announced]

  Fran was declared Grand Champion.

From afar, Aisha bit her lip.

  Aisha (muttering):

“…Now I regret not entering this tournament.”

Lysa smiled as Fran raised his hand—honor and pride shining in his expression.

  [Award Ceremony]

The finalists assembled upon the stage.

Zedwan personally presented the championship trophy to his nephew.

  Zedwan:

“Your courage, resilience, and discipline prove that the warrior’s blood within our family still burns brightly. I am proud of you, Fran.”

  Fran bowed respectfully.

Tears welled at the corners of Lysa’s eyes.

[Hasyalys Speaks – Transition to the True Mission]

Hasyalys stepped onto a smaller platform beside the main stage.

  Hasyalys:

“Tonight, we gather at the Detective Agency HQ.”

“This tournament was never just a test of strength. It was a stage to reveal that the threat is closer than we imagined.”

“The Syavadark parasites… the Venom-like entity targeting Dark Sky… and the aura disturbances sensed by Aisha…”

“All signs that our world is being tested once more.”

  “The tournament may be over…”

“…but our mission has just begun.”

[Chapter End – The HQ Awaits]

  Night deepened.

One by one, key figures departed toward the Hasyalys–Aisha–Nadia Detective Agency HQ, hidden within a mysterious classical building in the underground city of Queen Lysa’s vampire kingdom.

  Fran held his trophy tightly.

  Yet he understood.

  This was not the end.

  Only the beginning.
