'The XP requirement increased after reaching level 70, but the title points, the gloves, plus the levels I gained, and the +100 all stat attribute every 10 levels... increased my stats a lot, and thanks to the rewards in the elf village, I have enough points...'
Due to the activities and problems they had recently experienced, Ryan already knew or at least imagined what the rest of his life in this world would be like.
So after reflecting for a moment, he began distributing his stat points.
100 points to stamina, 50 points to Psyche, 90 points to strength.
'With this I already have 3 attributes at 1k points...'
Although he didn’t have the level required to reach Rank A, due to the large amount of accumulated points he was at least sure that he was now much stronger and more durable.
With his current attributes, he clearly wasn’t an ordinary support. Because of the amount of points he had in strength and stamina.
'I feel like I’m cheating, but. The fact that a human being ends up in another world just like that is already ridiculous, at least I have this system advantage, otherwise what would become of me?'
After the long trip, they entered the adventurers guild and went to speak with Sophia. She received them with doubt in her gaze.
Ryan thought that she was probably curious about what they had to discuss with the Duke.
"I won’t tell you anything." Helen told Sophia, who couldn’t stop looking at them.
"I’m not interested in you telling me anything. I’ll find out later anyway."
"Yeah yeah whatever, just give me the mission details."
"Helen you’re always so impatient." Ryan intervened. After Helen turned to look at him with a gesture, her cheeks puffed.
Ryan turned to look at Mirian and added.
"Learn from Mirian, she’s always calm. No wait... she’s suicidal, better not use her as an example."
"But Ryan! Just forget that!"
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Ha ha ha." They laughed.
Then Sophia handed them the mission details.
Since it was a request directly from the guild, they didn’t have to worry about the rule of finishing in less than a week.
She clarified that the time it would take them to reach that city was four days. And she estimated that this time they would return in at most twelve days.
"And don’t fail the mission this time, idiots. If you do I’ll revoke your licenses!"
Ryan’s group made an enthusiastic gesture. Then they left the guild and headed toward a transport caravan. After paying the fare they climbed aboard. It was only the three of them and an old man in the same cart.
"The journey will be long and we will make few stops, hold on tight."
Commented the carriage driver before moving forward.
The trip was more or less calm. Although they encountered monsters along the road, they didn’t need to get off the cart. The mere fact that Mirian was there was already a great advantage for everyone.
She only needed to shoot arrows from the carriage and within seconds she eliminated any threat.
By the night of the fourth day they finally arrived at the city.
It was quite lively and they saw more people than they expected.
'How can a place be so populated if the Demon King’s threat is so close?'
"I hadn’t come here since I was a child." Mirian commented.
"Really? And did you come with Helen?"
"No, we didn’t know each other back then."
"Yeah, I met this idiot about four years ago." Helen replied mockingly.
"I see. That explains why you get along so well."
"We don’t get along!" They grumbled in unison.
As they walked through the city, Ryan suddenly stopped for a moment in surprise. A blue-haired girl was floating through the air. She wore a simple dress, neither elegant nor remarkable. She floated as if it were nothing, and nobody seemed surprised.
"It must be a rehearsal for some theater play." Ryan murmured.
They kept walking until they reached an inn. They had to rent a place to stay during those days. Before entering the inn.
A distressed voice echoed in the distance.
"Please help my daughter, please help her!"
A man came running toward the inn, carrying a very young girl. She looked like a primary school child.
The man shouted that his daughter had been poisoned.
The man entered the inn.
"Please help!"
Since Ryan’s group was also about to enter that inn, they went in as well. The man was crying.
"Ryan maybe you should help her." Helen intervened.
"Yes, she’s just a child." Mirian added.
'I don’t mind healing her but...'
Ryan approached them. The girl’s father was kneeling on the floor with the girl resting on his legs.
"Make way, Ryan will save her!"
"Save her? Is he a Healer?"
"No, I’m a Priest, but the basic spell is enough to heal her."
"Are you serious?" The girl’s father stood up.
"Of course."
Ryan approached and placed his hand pointing at the girl’s stomach.
"Recovery"
The girl opened her eyes and began crying when she saw her father. He hugged her.
The people who had gathered applauded Ryan’s feat.
Then Helen approached.
"I thought this intervention would benefit us in a way."
"What do you mean?" Ryan asked.
"Well, how to say it. By helping her. It will make us known quickly, and here maybe we can find a mage who wants to join the group to return to the dungeon."
"I see, so that was it."
Ryan approached the girl and patted her head.
"Let’s see, starting today I order you not to disobey or worry your parents, understood?"
"Yes, thank you very much mister healer."
[Debt collection applied]
[Debt bonus: +50 Points]
[Debt bonus: +45000 XP]
'I know the effect of the orders only lasts a few minutes but. With that it’s settled.'
When everything had calmed down, Ryan sat on one of the chairs at a table inside the inn.
And while he was sitting with Helen and Mirian talking.
A shrill, very high-pitched voice began speaking to them from nearby.
"ju ju ju, you’re lucky adventurers."
The voice came from a blue-haired girl, her height quite similar to the girl Ryan had healed.
'And this girl? Is she the same one who was floating?'
"What do you want from us? brat, go find your parents."
"Helen don’t call her that, can’t you see she’s very cute, she looks so adorable." Mirian said while ruffling her hair with affectionate pats.
"I’m not a child! I’m the most powerful mage in this city!"
"Yeah sure." Ryan looked at her sideways.
'I’m going to ignore her.'
"Don’t ignore me! You were talking about recruiting a mage, right?"
She lifted her chin proudly and added.
"Well here I am!"
