After taking a breath, Yuka began speaking to the camera.

  “Well then, let’s start with food.

  When you think of camping, it’s curry rice, right?

  …So! We bought curry-rice-filled bread!”

  She took a bagged curry-rice-filled bread out of her bag and held it up to the camera.

  “Um… isn’t camping about cooking for yourself?”

  “Where did you even buy something that weird…?”

  “Don’t be so disappointed. I’ll make the coffee myself.”

  Still smiling, she began getting things ready, set a yukihira pot on the portable gas stove, and poured water from a plastic bottle into it.

  With practiced hands, she lit the stove.

  “Today’s coffee is—Kilimanjaro!”

  She held up a stick-type instant coffee packet to the camera.

  She poured the powder into a mug, then added several sticks of sugar and several sticks of powdered creamer.

  At the sight of it, the comment section erupted with surprise and warnings about her health.

  “I can’t drink bitter coffee! But I still want to drink coffee!”

  After declaring this childlike logic to the camera, she glanced toward the pot and saw that a white haze had already begun to rise from it.

  “It hasn’t even been a minute! Solo camping is amazing!”

  In the comment section, there were voices wondering, “Can it really be that fast?” and pointing out how unnatural it seemed, but Yuka ignored them, poured in the hot water, stirred it, and said, “Okay, here goes.,” before taking a sip of the coffee.

  “It’s lukewarm… why?”

  Frowning, Yuka looked down at her mug.

  “That wasn’t steam earlier—it was that haze supernatural being playing a trick.

  It just made it look like steam.”

  Sayuri explained with a cheerful smile.

  “Why would it even do that…?”

  Looking dejected, she took a bite of her curry-rice-filled bread.

  “Hmm… maybe when Yuka-chan was enveloped by Haze-san before and said, ‘The fog’s kind of thin,’ it took that as a complaint, so this time it tried to make you happy.”

  “It wasn’t a complaint. It was just an impression…”

  She muttered.

  “Don’t trouble the supernatural being.”

  “That’s exactly what a complainer would say…”

  Even after that, Yuka offered several excuses, but the viewers gently admonished her.

  “It didn’t work out, did it?”

  Saying that, Sayuri laughed happily.
