NOTE: You were teleported to the Elorath zone.
NOTE: You have gained three basic recruitment orders to help you begin your journey.
Congratulations: due to your astonishing luck, your three basic recruitment orders merged into one advanced recruitment order.
“Recruitment order? Will this be the summoning function during this game?”
More usually than not, there will be a summoning function to summon followers or subordinates. Sometimes, you can only summon helpers for a limited time, and it all depends on the summoning function, probably to speed up the pace of the event and fulfill some of the viewers’ fantasies.
As for where the summoned individuals come from, they are artificial life forms created by the endgame itself; however, after creation, the system will hold no power or control over them and leave them to their own devices. After all, this is more fun.
Checking on the advanced recruitment order through the systems ITEMS tab
Advanced recruitment order
Rarity: uncommon
Type: summoning
Effect: summons one unit of the same race
Note: Summoned units have no guaranteed Loyalty. Initial Loyalty may vary.
‘By the looks of it, this time, the rarity system is fairly simple: Common → uncommon → rare → epic → legendary → mythic.’
“Although I can’t be too sure without seeing other items to compare, they usually like to give surprises, as for loyalty, it is usually like that unless the summoned unit has no free will, which is rare and is only provided during special events, that’s as much as I know anyway.”
Slowly checking on the other system functions, including shop, chat, trade, gifts, and ranking, the items tab only has the advanced recruitment order. The shop is open, while everything else is locked and will be opened in 24 hours.
Taking a deep breath while slowly checking the area, ‘currently I’m on a roof of what I can only say is a fucked up skyscraper, when I was near the edge, I saw the other buildings, they are either half destroyed or burned, only a few remain intact.
It really is an apocalyptic world.
There are only two options to get down, one is a suicide jump from the edge, which is not advised, the second is to open the emergency door and get down floor by floor.’
‘However, although I cursed the system for dropping me here, it must be for a reason. The ground is probably too dangerous, with low chances of survival, but here, if I go down the skyscraper with the help of a 3 basic recruitment order, which I can only guess are of common rarity, it should be possible.’
‘After all, this is how luck should work, right? Now I have an advanced recruitment order, which should be a nice surprise, so getting down is easy, as for why I need to get down and kill some zombies, it’s simple: if I don’t fight, I fall behind others, if I fall behind too much, I will die sooner or later.’
‘As long as I keep up with the majority, I will be safe, as I won’t be doing things that are too dangerous. Now, I should start the summoning; however, I can’t have another lucky devil. I should probably choose one with affinity for MP or STR.’
Although devils have affinity with luck, that doesn’t mean that devils can only have affinity with luck; it’s just that the majority favor luck.
Luck is good, but to be useful, you need strength to achieve that given lucky opportunity; otherwise, it will be useless.

Advanced recruitment order (uncommon)
Using the advanced recruitment order, another system panel appears.
?RECRUITMENT ORDER?
Race: Devil
Default Affinity: N
Affinity Selection (Manual): [DEF] [MP] [STR] [AGI] [LUCK]
Selected: MP
Summon Status: Pending…
After changing the affinity to MP and starting the summoning, a light appears in front of me, slowly taking a human shape of a… devil.
‘Alright, in a few seconds now the summoning will be over, I need to look presentable, calm, calculating, and confident, I need to show that following me offers a better chance of getting advanced than leaving.’
I narrowed my eyes a fraction, unknowingly they looked lazy, straightened my back, clasped my hands behind my back, and lifted my chin, my best imitation of someone who knew what they were doing.
So I waited for a few seconds… and then I waited a few minutes staring at the light in front of me calmly with confidence, but I was cursing inside.
‘How long does the summoning need? As far as I know, it should be almost instantaneous. Why is it taking so long?’
I sighed inwardly, ‘How long do I need to keep the act for?’
Just then, the light started to disappear, and a devil with black hair, obsidian horns, and a calm, assessing gaze—holding a blue glowing orb in her left palm appeared.
I looked at her calmly, thanking my good luck for not breaking the act a second earlier.
Then, without hesitation, I mentally looked at the system panel.

WARNING: Loyalty insufficient. User safety cannot be assured.
NOTE: mana tier is limiting focus.
‘FUCK ME, loyalty is so low! Usually, it should be in the middle, I mean she is very strong, look at her crazy high mana and focus, even agility is not too bad for a mage this early on, I have high luck and luck affinity which intensify this good luck, and I get such a strong recruit with low loyalty means one thing…’
‘This goddamn place is too dangerous, the drop points when teleporting to this planet are absolutely random as long as it supports life, and it was decided on before I merged with the system and gained some luck, my luck probably did on small adjustments in the last 5 minutes and sent me to this roof.’
‘The situation is so dangerous that my luck is willing to empty the loyalty for better stats, it’s a good thing that the system warned me, otherwise I wouldn’t have known that this beautiful lady is about to stab me in the back.’
‘I’m dead meat for sure.’
The moonlight shines on the blue orb in her palm, making it flicker—as if it is confirming his thoughts.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.
There was no excitement, no fear, and no suspicion, only calculated calm.
Wind. Height. Mana density: unrefined, unstable.
A devil three meters away Calm, Balanced, no scanning, and no questions.
Confident in his silence, using it to control the situation.
‘He is the one who summoned me. He understands that I have no loyalty to him whatsoever—so why is he so calm? Or does he not care at all?’
‘He does not flinch at the sight of Nexus Core in my hand. Even when I used it to stir up the mana around him, he remained motionless, as if death was not right next to him. He could read Nexus effects because it was summoned with me, so he should understand that I am not a normal summoned unit, something that was just born, easy to fool.’
‘So why is he so calm? Does he like to act superior? However, one thing is certain: if he doesn’t convince me that he is worth something, he will lose his head.’
Suddenly—
‘WAIT. The mana around me… it is too unstable. It feels like it has not been a week since the Mana Convergence Event initiated by the end games.’
‘Something is wrong. How could he summon me now? He used an advanced recruitment order, and its rarity was Uncommon. It’s impossible to own such an item this early on. The chat opens in 24 hours. He was just teleported here and summoned me. How?’
The System would never allow someone of my level or origin to enter the game this early; otherwise, we would dominate the game early on just by relying on my strength.
Lilith’s lids lowered a fraction. Mana sense spread outward.
Then she realized—
She was not on top of a building; she was on top of a monster horde, and Countless zombies of different ranks were beneath her, her grip tightened around her Nexus Core… This man is probably not acting. How could he still be calm in such a situation?
_
The moonlight shines on the blue orb in her palm, making it flicker—as if it is confirming his thoughts.
True to his ideals, Nightworn remained calm, even when pressure around him intensified; he remained motionless, expressionless.
‘I used to be a body refiner in the middle of the 9th grade. I was lucky once because of my talent that I met a mage at the peak of the 9th grade. This pressure is quite similar, even a little stronger. There is no reason to fight.’
‘Now I’m just an ordinary guy with no strength whatsoever, I want to die with dignity.’
This puts my mind at ease while I remember the loyalty Ranks in melancholy.
Guarded → Neutral → Loyal → Devoted → Unshakable
Guarded: They don’t trust you. They’re evaluating you; if you are useful, you may live, you may lead them with fear; however, you may never gain their loyalty.
Suddenly, I wake up from my reverie, feeling the pressure vanishing and seeing Lilith’s lids lowered a fraction.
A thought popped up in my head, ‘maybe I should just beg for mercy, FUCK pride, pride is what got me here in the first place, let’s beg.’
Just as I was about to kneel and start begging, I heard a voice.
“I’m Lilith,” she says, “I will be in your care.”
Nightworn “…..”
‘Why, though? Shouldn’t I be begging right about now to spare my life?’
I suddenly think of something and check her system panel, and I see at the end a system note.
NOTE: She is wary of you due to your mystery.
Question marks appear above my head ‘What mystery? Could it be my luck is doing something incredible, like frying some of her brain circuits? Yes, that must be it; however, I cannot stop the act even if my luck fried some parts of her brain during the summoning. If I stop, the tables might turn.’
‘My luck brought me a powerful summon for a reason, and I believe it to be an incredibly dangerous situation. She is too dangerous, but needed, so let's find a way to escape danger, and then escape from her.’
While Lilith was contemplating fighting to the death as her mysterious summoner was just staring coldly at her, she heard him say, “You can call me Vorn.”
His voice was low, even, and calm, devoid of emotion.
Lilith nods slightly in response, calm as ever, but inwardly thinking, ‘Isn’t the name he chose for himself Nightworn? She didn’t really have much thought about this name, after all, many people use such names to increase viewership, or is this a system-assigned name?’
Although the system chooses a random name if none is chosen before entering the game, the name won’t be completely random, but something related to your life, for example, your real life name, or an alias, and the thing that is most loved by the system is the name given by all living beings, and it’s called a given name.
If your name resonates throughout worlds, then even if you want to assign a name, you cannot; you must use the given name.
‘He has no reason to lie to me; after all, he should know that I can see his name.
She used her system to see his panel again casually.
? SYSTEM PANEL ?
NAME: Nightworn
RACE: Devil
NOTE: Second identity: Vorn
With more questions than answers, she closed the system panel; she really cared too little for his name.
Nightworn was starting to panic because of Lilith’s cold gaze.
However, she didn’t keep him waiting for long.
She said, “Understood, Vorn.”
Her voice was slightly less cold, or that is what she was trying to do.
Vorn is now on cloud nine; if I had said Nightworn, she would probably think that I'm an edgy kid and slap me to death. After all, I picked this name without much thinking, as for me, thinking about it for a month, that was a lie; I was just crying for a month.
‘Now all I need to do is to fool her into bringing me to safety, where I’ll hide until I get another recruit, with my luck, as long as the place is safe, loyalty would be high, I’m sure of it.’
