"I don't care if you're a [Demonic Species] or a [Demonic Race], I suggest you stop what you're doing right now! Otherwise, I won’t go easy on you!" Ye Lan shouted, her voice firm as she charged toward the towering demonic flower, Ziar.
Far behind her, Mu Xuetong and the others watched in stunned silence, their eyes wide with disbelief.
Mu Xuetong coughed, nearly choking on her own breath. "Xiao Lan really has such a kind heart, trying to reason with a monster like that..." she muttered awkwardly, wiping his face with one hand to hide his embarrassment.
But could Ziar truly understand reason? The answer was simple, no.
The Demonic Species had earned their name for two very clear reasons: First, their immense destructive power. Second, their ck of consciousness.
These creatures were devoid of will or sapience, existing only as primal forces of devastation. The Ranking Order categorized only sentient beings, and since the Demonic Species cked any sembnce of intelligence, they were excluded from that system.
However, their sheer power made them a grave threat. Even a mid-level Demonic Species had the poential to annite humanity entirely.
Unfortunately for Ye Lan, the Ziar she faced belonged to one of the most fearsome subgroups of the Demonic Species. Though still in its juvenile stage at Level 31, it was already a walking catastrophe.
Ziar’s massive vines began to hiss and writhe, stretching toward Ye Lan with terrifying speed. Armed, she quickly stepped back and unched herself into the air.
[Water Cannon!]
Ye Lan formed a sphere of water with the magic she had just regained and hurled it with all her strength.
Boom!
The water sphere, powerful enough to break through reinforced doors, smmed into Ziar’s body. However, it didn’t even scratch the monstrous creature. Instead, the attack seemed to infuriate it further. A relentless swarm of vines and tentacles erupted violently, rushing toward Ye Lan.
"What the hell?!"
Ye Lan instinctively crossed her arms in front of her chest to shield herself. The vines struck with terrifying speed, but instead of attacking directly, they began coiling around her limbs, binding her tightly and suspending her in midair.1This is the part of the story where everything takes a 180-degree turn, and suddenly, we're in the middle of a cssic anime hentai moment...
"Damn it! Let go of me! Is this what they call tentacle py? Count me out!" she muttered, her tone ced with both irritation and disbelief.
"Xiao Lan!" On the ground below, Mu Xuetong’s eyes widened in arm as she witnessed the scene. Without hesitation, she sprinted forward, her voice ringing out "Let her go!"
Gripping her Qingfeng sword tightly, Mu Xuetong unleashed a flurry of sshes at the vines trapping Ye Lan. However, her attacks barely left shallow marks on the thick tendrils.
[-10 HP]
"Damn it! Why are these things so tough?!" Mu Xuetong growled through gritted teeth, pnting her feet firmly on the ground as she gred at the seemingly unbreakable vines that held Ye Lan aloft.
Seeing the tentacles poised to do something suspicious, Ye Lan acted swiftly, activating her skill.
[Teleportation]
In an instant, she vanished from the vines binding her and reappeared on the ground. Ziar froze momentarily, as if confused by her sudden escape, but quickly resumed its relentless assault.
While most of its attention remained on Ye Lan, some tentacles shed out at the others, as if to ensure no one could interfere. It was clear that Ziar didn’t consider Ye Lan a true threat, even in direct combat.
"Xiao Lan, maybe we should retreat!" Mu Xuetong urged, her voice tinged with desperation. "We could regroup and figure out a pn to deal with this thing ter!"
Ye Lan scanned the battlefield, her eyes falling on the wounded and the devastation surrounding them. She clenched her fists and shook her head resolutely.
"No. If we retreat now, the casualties will be devastating. I still have one move left. It’s risky, but I think I can pull this off" she said, her voice steady despite her bored breathing.
With determination burning in her eyes, Ye Lan tore off the bck fabric concealing her body and tossed it into the air.
[Blood Armor]
In an instant, the secret technique of the Beastkin race activated, unleashing her full tent potential. Her combat attributes surged to an unimaginable level, defying even the ws of physics.
Ye Lan gritted her teeth as a crimson vapor enveloped her body, her presence exuding raw power. In that instant, her attributes skyrocketed into four-digit levels, radiating an overwhelming aura.
Bang!
With a powerful leap, Ye Lan shot into the sky. Her cws shimmered with red energy as she sshed at Ziar, unleashing a devastating wave of crimson force that struck the monster with immense impact.
Ziar’s massive body trembled violently, scattering vines and leaves through the air.
Swish!Swish!Swish!
Undeterred, the vines shed out at her once again, attempting to entangle her. This time, Ye Lan’s resolve didn’t waver. With sheer brute strength, she grabbed the vines, tearing them apart as if they were mere threads.
Clenching her fist tightly, she delivered a powerful punch directly to Ziar’s 'head', her strike creating a massive hole that reverberated with a sickening crunch.
[-2020 HP]
Thud!
Ye Lan nded gracefully back on the ground, her chest heaving from exertion, but her stance unwavering.
Off to the side, Suo Gang watched the scene unfold in disbelief. His jaw hung open, his eyes wide as he took in the sight of Ye Lan in her Blood Armor form, radiating an unstoppable energy.
"That damage... It’s incredible! It’s over for that monster, there’s no way it can stand against her!" he excimed, his voice a mixture of shock and admiration.
Meanwhile, Mu Xuetong’s expression was etched with concern as she kept her gaze fixed on Ye Lan. She could see the strain in her every movement. The [Blood Armor] state had activated the primal combat instincts of the beastkin lineage, a double-edged sword. If those instincts took over, Ye Lan could lose control and attack without distinguishing between ally or foe. Yet, despite the torment, Ye Lan was holding herself back, suppressing the dangerous urges coursing through her body.
Each second she spent in this state was a battle not just against Ziar but also against herself.
In the distance, Yan Xi observed the fight, clicking his tongue in mild irritation before letting out a scoff.
"So it’s her" he muttered. "A truly terrifying individual. We’re retreating!" he barked, waving at his subordinates.
"B-but, boss? Shouldn’t we help?" one of them asked, his voice tinged with hesitation.
"Help? With what? Saving these worthless humans? I don’t have the time, or the patience for that nonsense. We’re leaving!"
Without waiting for a response, Yan Xi turned and led his group away, their retreating figures vanishing into the distance.
Back on the battlefield, Ziar remained an indomitable force. Despite Ye Lan’s relentless assault, nding blow after blow, the monster’s health bar barely budged. With tens of thousands of hit points, Ziar resembled the final final boss in any videogame.
In stark contrast, Ye Lan, a mere level 6 beastkin, only had around a thousand hit points, even with [Blood Armor] enhancing her. What she cked in endurance, however, she compensated for with raw power. Her attacks could deal nearly 2,000 points of damage per strike, astounding for her level, yet barely enough against such a foe.
“Aaaahhhhhhh!!!”
Ye Lan pnted her foot firmly on the ground, clenching her fists before unching herself toward Ziar. Suddenly, the monstrous flower on Ziar's chest burst open, releasing a cloud of purple mist that shot toward her like a projectile.
[Sixth Sense]
A sharp chill coursed through Ye Lan’s body, warning her of danger. She reacted instantly, twisting her body in midair to evade not just the mist but the hidden thorny vines embedded within it.
Shashasha~ Shashasha~
As she descended, the ground beneath her erupted with thorn-covered vines, shooting up with terrifying speed. Simultaneously, more vines emerged from all directions in the air, forming a deadly cage around her.
"Ye Lan!" Mu Xuetong screamed in desperation, her voice cracking. But Ye Lan’s focus remained unshaken. Twisting her body midair, she pnted her feet seemingly against the air itself.
Bang!
To everyone’s astonishment, Ye Lan propelled herself upward, as though stepping on an invisible ptform, narrowly avoiding the enclosing vines.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
She leaped repeatedly through the air, each step accelerating her toward Ziar with unrelenting speed.
[Blood Armor – First Phase – Blood Scythe]
A crimson scythe materialized in her hands, pulsing with ominous energy. Her eyes glowed blood-red as she closed the distance in a blur.
BOOM!!!
