Episode 36: Reunion in the Forest! Sakuros Missing Cousin!!

[Scene 1 – Crossing the River]

The brawlers are traveling across a wide river on a small boat. The weather is calm, and the sky is clear, providing a peaceful backdrop for the journey. Kouchu, Shauna, and Sakuro are chatting while making their way down the river, but Sakuro appears to be lost in thought.

  Shauna (noticing Sakuro’s distant look):

“You okay, Sakuro? You’ve been quiet for a while now.”

  Sakuro (sighing, looking ahead):

“I don’t know. I’ve just been thinking about something… or rather, someone.”

Kouchu, noticing the change in Sakuro’s mood, raises an eyebrow.

  Kouchu (curious):

“Who’s on your mind? It’s not like you to be so serious.”

Sakuro stares out into the distance, his expression filled with mixed emotions.

  Sakuro (softly):

“There was a boy I met long ago, in the forest. His name is Marcus, my cousin. He disappeared without a trace, and I’ve never been able to find him again.”

[Scene 2 – The Unexpected Reunion]

*As the boat continues its journey down the river, the brawlers suddenly hear a rustling noise from the nearby shore. A figure emerges from the forest on the far side of the river—it’s Marcus!

Marcus (excitedly shouting across the river):

  “Sakuro! Sakuro, is that you?!”

Sakuro’s eyes widen in disbelief as he turns to see the familiar face of his missing cousin standing on the shore. His heart races, and a rush of emotions fills him. He can hardly believe it.

  Sakuro (shouting back, overjoyed):

  “Marcus! It really is you!”

Without hesitation, Sakuro leaps from the boat and swims across the river toward Marcus. Kouchu and Shauna watch in surprise, realizing how important this reunion is for their friend.

  Kouchu (grinning):

“Looks like we’re about to witness a family reunion.”

  Sakuro (emotionally):

“I can’t believe it’s really you! Where have you been all this time? I thought I lost you forever!”

Marcus (a little sheepish but grateful):

“It’s a long story. I got lost in the forest during a storm and couldn’t find my way out. I’ve been wandering ever since, but I didn’t want to go back to the city without finding you. I knew you’d be looking for me.”

Sakuro’s eyes well up with tears as he listens, finally relieved that Marcus is safe. The two of them sit down by the riverbank, catching up on everything that’s happened since they were last together.

  Marcus (laughing):

“I never imagined I’d be reunited with my family through a river crossing and some Crystal Brawlers.”

Sakuro smiles warmly at Marcus, then turns to Kouchu and Shauna, who have approached them.

  Sakuro (gratefully):

“I wouldn’t have found him without you two. Thank you for helping me.”

  Sakuro (to Kouchu and Shauna):

“We should go to Dark City. I’m sure they’re looking for Marcus too. Let’s help him reunite with his family.”

Kouchu and Shauna agree, and the group sets off toward Dark City, knowing that finding Marcus’s family won’t be easy. Along the way, they encounter several Crystal Monsters that Marcus knows, who provide clues and assist in the search.

  Shauna (pointing out):

“We’re getting closer. I can feel it!”

With the help of the Crystal Monsters and Marcus’s memories, they navigate through the streets of Dark City, asking around and following leads.

  “Marcus! My baby, you’re back!”

They all rush to embrace Marcus, tears of happiness streaming down their faces. Sakuro stands quietly by, watching the emotional reunion with a soft smile on his face. Kouchu and Shauna step back, giving the family time to reconnect.

  Marcus (smiling through tears):

“I’ve missed you all so much… I’m so sorry for making you worry.”

  Marcus’s Father (grateful):

“You’re home now, and that’s all that matters.”

After the reunion, Marcus turns to Sakuro, his eyes filled with gratitude.

Marcus (handing Sakuro a small gift):

“I’ve got something for you, Sakuro. For everything you’ve done for me…”

He hands over a Crystal Ball, a rare and beautifully carved one that he found during his time away. It glows with a soft, radiant light.

“You didn’t have to… but thank you, Marcus. This means a lot.”

“Me too. I can’t thank you guys enough for this. But now, we’ve got a mission to focus on—the fourth medal.”
