Episode 9 – BEACH they go to the BEACH in this one. PART 10 – A LITTLE LATER THAN IT WAS!

EXTERIOR- The beach, deep into the wilds, far west of Triangle Valley. A short way north of the oceanic port where adventurous sailors drop their spoils, to be shipped to Saustis.

The beach is poputed exclusively by muscur, tall, well-fed, well-sculpted and well-armed men and women, wearing either barely-not-indecent-exposure-type swimsuits or full sets of glistening armor, and nothing between those two things. Save for maybe a small handful wearing robes or something.

In the middle of it all stands a tall, tanned figure (who refers to himself only as a "Beach Wizard"), in tan robes with a tan wizard's hat, standing atop a pilr of sand. His facial hair is also tan. He seems rather upset. Also, there's two pillows at his feet. One front, one back.

Previously, the adventurers were looking up with fear and cmoring to climb the tower to attack the guy, but now they're just kinda standing around. They seem to have gotten the hint that this is a scripted fight and that they may as well just get comfortable. A fair amount are sitting crisscross and pying games in the sand.

FINALLY PRESENT - THE GIRL (Wearing a gray, less waterlogged sweater, and her also less wet maroon ball cap. No armor. YES shorts, because beach. Her shorts are also less wet. The sand kind of dries everything out pretty good.)

Currently, the girl is being gripped by a giant hand made out of sand.

ALSO FINALLY HERE- THE BOY (Shirtless and very wet, with flip-flops and incredibly short trunks that the girl had ying around, for whatever reason. They're also wet. Because he is doing something akin to swimming in them.) He's finally back to shore. It took him quite some time to float back.

TIME - Same as it's been for a while, because time passes really slowly in the worlds slowest motherFRICKING episode oh my HECK.

The man was already upset at the adventurer's fgrant disregard for traditional beach-going hours, but this atypical pillow-having..?

  It was incomprehensible.

There was no room left for mercy.

. . . Unfortunately for him, by the time he decided that, the girl was already on him.

She nded gracefully (not on the ground, no, she nded atop one of the adventurer's heads. She did this intentionally, because stepping on people is fun and degrading.) and leapt from a jump-squat into the sky like a brilliant frog, soaring with precision into the sky.

The old man's internal decration and the loss of focus from the pillows distracted him *just* enough, creating the smallest possible window of opportunity for the girl to nd safely atop the pilr without taking the brunt of a prepared spell, something to bst her away, back to the sea or somewhere beyond the grave.

She nded, standing toe-to-toe with the wizard, looking up at him with her manic, wide-eyed, toothy grin.

... Though, she stumbled. She undershot- Barely, an almost imperceptible amount, but she stumbled. She swayed, just a little. She needed a moment to keep her footing.

A small grin spread across the man's face. Now the moment was his, it was his opportunity to act- And all it would take is one blow.

He knew better now, he wouldn't hesitate, he wouldn't say something stupid for no reason. His gloating, instead, would take pce only in his head, and it would happen in a fraction of a second.

He thought something about the fact that it was over now- That her strength was impressive but in the end her struggle is for naught- something about how the beach wizards will prevail. All that was impure will be made pure again, and It shall remain imprisoned eternally.

  It's been a pleasure. Truly.

He thought something along these lines in a fraction of a second. At once, his hands raised, and his body and the pilr beneath him began to glow and hum with power. His contingency spell he'd been saving for years- for a moment just like this- for someone truly worth eviscerating.

"TIME TO DIE, GIRL!" He couldn't resist shouting (fortunately for him, he spoke quickly, and shouting was necessary for the spell to go off, anyway.)

The adventurers far below began to inch and crawl away, taking note of the sheer scale of his power. Getting outside the spsh zone would be preferable.

The girl herself was not unaware of what he was doing. She knew she was in for it now- she was too close to run away, and the spell was too far along to be interrupted. If she were to attack, the best she could hope for was a draw, where there'd be nothing left to identify either party.

And yet, her eyes grew wider, and her grin remained.

  Her stance mimicked his.

  ---

(Several Minutes Ago - At Sea, but a little ter than it was the st time it was several minutes ago.)

"Well, moving past your EXCEEDINGLY STUPID suggestion." The girl ftly stated as the two of them floated in the seawater. "Since you're not gonna be able to blind him, it's gonna be considerably more difficult for me to kill the crap out of him. I'll have to be incredibly precise, knowing that even the slightest misstep would lead to my demise. Which is fine, because I'm pretty much perfect and will simply choose to do everything fwlessly."

"would it not be a better idea to just not attempt to kill him? if it is possible that he could kill you instead?"

"Wow! That's even dumber than your st idea!" She girl remarked, before promptly refusing to entertain such a stupid suggestion any further. "Anyways, IF he's the kind of guy who can survive one of my top-5-special-moves, then he's ALSO the type of guy that has a contingency pn or spell of some kind in pce for someone trying to send him off his tower. Given that he's already set up and I have no idea what the exact specifications of his contingency are gonna be, ordinarily, one would be pretty much screwed at this point... BUT!" She raised a single finger in the air, the sea water spshing as she thrust her hand up. "I am not *one*! I am a DOZEN, AT LEAST!"

  "huh."

"So long as I'm within spitting distance, HE'S TOAST! BECAUSE I KNOW JUST THE TECHNIQUE FOR THIS SITUATION- THE WAY TO REFLECT EVEN THE STRONGEST OF MAGICS IN ONE MOVE!"

"what is it?" The boy did his head tilt.

"*Symmetry*." The girl stated, with a sure, ear-to-ear grin.

". . . what?" The boy tilted further.

The girl squinted dumbfoundedly. "Whadduyou mean, 'what?' Symmetry! You know, the thing that cocky sorcerer almost beat me with a few months ago?

"i dont think i was there for that."

"What? No, you we-" She paused. "Ah. Right. That was when I was still trying to starve you to death. Huh. Wow, yeah, okay, that's... Yeah, youuuuuuu've never heard of that, you have no idea what I'm talking about. Huh."

  "it seems that way."

"Wow, yeah, no, uh, for me that was an utterly inspired idea and an incredible reveal, but for you that was just."

  "pretty much nonsense."

"Huh." She paused one final time. Then shrugged. "Wheeeelllp, I'm gonna do that to him. Gonna pretty much parry his spell and throw it back at him."

  "sounds effective."

"Should be. I've never done it before, but I've seen it enough times, I'm sure it'll work."

  "wh-"

"ANYWAYS, BACK TO SWIMMING! WE'VE GOT A MOTHERFRECKING-"

Thus, the girl resumed swearing and swimming angrily back to shore.
